  1. Dude's odometer just ran out...the amount of football that can be played before your body quits on you is different for everyone, and it hit Galippo a few years back. He was a heck of a talent coming out of high school and early on at USC, but injuries caught up to him. He's a shell of the athlete he was.

I don't know, Lane Kiffen just benched him....I think it had to do a lot with character and work ethics more than injuries.

  2. As much as that game makes me want to kick Nick Harper in the face....if we had won that I would not have felt good about it, because that Troy Polamalu pick was 100 percent legit. We shouldn't have even been in a position to come back.

  3. Luck threw an average of about 1 pick per game, so don't expect him to do better than a 2-1 ratio his rookie season.

Peyton Manning threw 35+ TDs and 11 int in 13 games and Mark Sanchez threw 35+ TD's and 10 INT in 13 games.....Luck threw 35+ TD's and 10 INT.

We all say how many INT's Sanchez and Manning put up their rookie seasons.

  4. These are all highlight reels. Some groups are kind enough to compile what can be closely called film (not exactly as good as paid scouts use but close) where they analyze every play a player participates in.

There is none of Chism, but there are complete footage of that game he got a FF in, where they show every defensive play...and Chism did pretty bad in that game...I mean real bad....except for that FF.

But I can't make a judgment on anybody over 1 game...but unless people in here have watched 2 or more maryland games, nobody besides scouts and Terps fans knows if this guy is actually good enough to make a team or not.

  5. So I'm not the only one that's high on Mathieu. Thank God.

I"m not super high on Him as a top 10 pick Corner (YET) but I've heard they may put this guy at safety, either way the guy is incredibly talented...he has football instincts that are out of this world, and that puts him at top ten consideration.

I figure him a a top ten talent whose height gives him a downside...but anybody saying his is bad in coverage skills is a complete, especially if you judging off of one game.

  6. If you look at Mathieu and you don't see top 10 pick written all over him....You have to ask question your ability to scout talent. If you don't see a Bob Sanders without the injury problems in this kid...I mean...if Amerson had this guys Instincts, he'd be the greatest projected CB since Dieon Sanders. If Mathieu was only 3 inches taller he's be taken over Amerson easily. Don't dismiss him because of his size.

  7. Fuger will take some patience but Galippo is probably camp fodder. Galippo is injury prone, weaker on th bp than players we already have, and lost his job as a starter in college.

Maybe...I think Galippo is a beast when he is in beast mode. He just needs to capitalize on his opportunity now. He lost his job as a starter because the Coach supposedly saw a huge lack in effort.

  8. exactly, its not the size of the dog in the fight in the size of the fight in the dog, and their is NO bigger fight in any dog more then hes got

I've been bickering with people over the "Size" of LB in a 3-4 and I don't really thing weight and height really make a difference. I mean, I checked and a lot of the LB for 3-4 are over 6-2, but most of those same teams didn't make the playoffs soooooo....

  9. i was always a Clark fan, but some of those 3rd down catches he made in the ravens game were some of the most clutch i have ever seen. it is a shame he had to leave indy the way he did,but iam glad i do not have to see him in another uniform.

Maybe he can come back. Imagine, Fleener, Clark and Allen on a 3 TE play action...the Defense would like, F this I quit.

  10. Watch that Stanford USC game. They ran lots of 3 TE sets, and they were 80% run. I was a Trojan fan, and I think I re-missed that memory to the back of my brain because I didn't notice how much they did it until I saw a replay, scouting Fleener.

It's very effective, especially against 4-3 teams. All you need is a RB that isn't afraid to pound for that extra yard.

  11. The question is. If we have David Amerson and Robert Woods on our boards at the same time. Which one do we pick.

It's very rare for a Guy like Robert, even with his talents to do what he did while on the same team as Turner and Marquis Lee.

Shows that he's not selfish. He proably runs a 4.38 forty yard dash. He the best prospect since A.J. Green.

Amerson...Doesn't look that fast on tape, may run a 4.55 I don't really know, but the guy obviously uses his Measurables to max potential. I mean, what I we can get a Taller Charles Woodson.

If Amerson shows his skill this year, and shows the league he can run under a 4.5 man, I wouldn't know which of the 2 to take.

  12. Stop your self.

Fleener is faster than Clark was when we drafted him.

I dont think Dallas ever ran a 4.5, did he?

Dallas ran like a 4.66 or something like that. Every scout had Fleener under 4.55. People refuse to use the game film on the internet that is free for everybody. If they just watched him in 3 or 4 games they would be beyond estatic to have him on our team

  13. I see Fleener being a pretty solid blocker once he hits the weights and gets his technique developed more.

Fleener is a victim of the automatic athletic TE, blocker criticism.

If you watch tape of him and Allen, both those guys are solid run blockers. I'd be even willing to suggest, although Allen is a more Consistent blocker, Fleener is the more Powerful blocker.

Fleener can throw your average 4-3 linebacker all over the line of scrimmage.

  14. The only pick I dont understand was the QB at the end... We already have 2 other QBs on the roster... Unless he is thinking this QB may have trade value or something... But it just seems like a wasted pick I guess.

I am very excited about this season coming up!

I still don't understand how a colts fan, having gone through what we have gone through with injuries, wouldn't be for drafting a QB for debt every draft LOL.

  15. CHILL!

    OUT!

This isn't ESPN or the NFL network.

haha, I'm chill. But it just pevs me off when I hear people criticize the draft, then follow by saying, "I woulda" draft Dennard, Minnifield, Cliff Harris, Vontez Burfict, Jeff Fuller, Chris Polk....it's like. If I gave you a time machine, you would really go back and time and draft those fools. haha. It's almost laughable.

  16. I understand you like to be contrary and that's fine. But if you really "watch the film" as you always claim to do, then I don't see how you can make the comments above. Look at 6:40 he is stride for stride with the receiver, it was a great throw right over the top of him and right in front of the safety. Sometimes the other players make plays as well.

You talk about "scared" to jam but it looked like on most plays the DC had the CBs playing back and oft times when he came up to the LOS the receiver and slot switch so the slot was on the LOS and the wide out was off the LOS. They only do that because the CB is effective and jamming so they get the WR off the LOS so he cannot be jammed.

He probably won't be anything other than a special teamer or PS player this year.... he was undrafted for a reason so that's not really going out on a limb. But there were some definite things to like and it will be interesting to see what Pags' system can do:

1.) It looks like the Terps run a defense similar to what Pags did in Baltimore and what I think he will do in Indy.

2.) In both the highlight video and the WVU video he seems to have smooth hips, can turn and run at the correct time and reacts well when the ball is in the air.

    3) Not super fast and doesn't have elite acceleration but makes up for it with good anticipation and reaction.

I don't like to be the contrary dude. I even said I'd only consider Fleener if he ran faster than a 4.55 and he did and I was all in for him as a pick.

I also said I don't value 40 times high on players except the TE position...which is why I didn't like the Allen Pick.

I fought several people in Several Thread about Casey Heyward, some even saying he was a 5th rounder, and right before the draft Mayok had him as his 4th best corner, and guess what, we would have picked him to.

I find that by watching the tape, many of the criticism I have without prior input for "Pro" scouts are shared by the community. I only wish I had a TIVO so I can make my own tapes of players. Look at the UDFA thread, some web scout said almost the exact some thing as me about Chism in this game.

Trust me, I'm not a perfect scout, but I've been following kids comming out of High School, as has many others for the last 7 years. I even suggested we take Bryce Brown in the 7th...crazy right.....We'll he got picked in the 6th.

So I see very few positives in this ONE GAME i've watched of him, but i've noticed what I usually see in 1 game, i'll see in the rest. And in this particular game, dude is burned toast.

  17. Minnifield

This is why nobody listens to some of you people.

I've seen several people that say we should have drafted 3 or more players Jeff fuller, Vontez Burfict and Minnifield, who weren't picked by 32 other teams in 253 picks.

You think we are the only team that needed a corner back or linebacker or a big WR.

To say you would willingly go back and draft a player you had the hindsight of knowing werent selected at all just shows why you aren't a good analyst of players.
