4th quarter, we meet again.
-
I'd only offer Dorsett, but a) they wouldn't take it and b) we have no depth at receiver past him. We're gonna have to pass.

Uh yes they did. Here's our very own Adam V discussing it.
That was just for the Pro Bowl.

I'm old enough to remember when 50 yard field goals were rare . Now guys make them like chip shots . I like old school run pass and tackle football .
That's like saying make receivers slower, or linebackers weaker, or linemen smaller. Times change.

What's with the punt protection this game...

You really can't surmise the rationale of this form of protest??? The idea isn't to be disrespectful to Veterans, the idea is to call attention to what some deem to be questionable human rights issues, and has become a legitimately considerable issue within the past few years...
If the 'Star Spangled Banner' truly just stands for a war that happened almost two and a half centuries ago, then why do people care about whether someone stands or not anyways, but you know this...
Because people in that war died for this country, and the free world as we know it today might very well not exist had they not done so? (Yeah we basically lost the war, but still)
I still don't understand the support for Kaepernick. Standing=support/respect for the national anthem and the flag. Those two things stand for freedom. That means that they should represent these rights/equal treatment that you believe you don't have! And you're disrespecting both!

Quan Bray! Too bad for holding.
-
3 and out, good start for both sides.
-
Who just threw that fullback, lol

Passing game and protection is looking super nice. Run game not so much still. Let's hope that changes.

Moncrief with some nice RAC.

That's a potential Week 1 move, not an early preseason move, IMO. I'm not that excited about Cromartie, but if you get through a couple preseason games and you're not excited about the young guys, then think about a veteran.
We haven't seen Smith yet, but my biggest concern is Butler. He got roasted on Saturday, and he's been slipping for two years now. As the primary nickel, he might be a major liability.
You don't really put Cromartie at slot though, either. If anything, if Robinson struggles early, he could be an option.

Why do you think Bray is a lock? He's not a good receiver and the KR position is really devalued now.
That's why.

I wasn't saying they were doing a good job by any stretch, but progress is progress. Sacks becoming pressures is a step in the right direction.
Sacks becoming pressures is more of the QB's responsibility than the line's.

What an ending!

No defensive holding streak still stands.

Welcome back McNary!

First points of the season!

Definitely not creating a highlight reel tonight on either side of the ball. I'm only a little disappointed because I was hoping to see something from a WR. But ehhh...Taking this game for what it's worth. Which is not a lot.
Passing in this weather is hard. This game should be more about running and stopping the run

Yep.... the Debbie downers already whining
Not much to like right now other than Green, McAfee, and the occasional play.

Sio Moore down. Looks like left hammy.
-
Wow, a whole quarter without a defensive holding penalty. That's a first.
-
At least the second team defense can stuff the run.

Antonio Cromartie owns the record for the longest return in NFL history off a missed field goal
and is also a bum.
