moncrief uses his body to catch the ball, dorsett cant catch period, hilton as much as i love him costs us yards at times when he tries to constantly twirl and reverse field when if he just goes upfield he could pick up 1 or 2 more yds if he did that on the 3rd and 7 hed have a better chance at the first down, play calling was terrible with the screen and putting dwayne 1-on-1 with clowney which led to the fumble, protection was decent for the most part, but all in all not good at all thats a game we should win

his final two choices in miami and dallas show me where his interests lie...not football! Dallas is still Americas team for some reason, there is a certain star quality about playing there, theres still a certain connotation about being a dallas cowboy and miami is a great place for a rich and famous 20 something year old to live and party in. to me at least it doesnt seem like he based his decision on winning or being on a great football team.

look at what New England did with Hernandez and Gronk, two special TE's with different skillsets, Gronk/Allen the more physical of the two and Hernandez/Fleener the faster WR hybrid, they had a great Offense and got them to a superbowl so id rather keep them for as long as we can

its probably the whole chip kelly is racist thing lol, but seriously i think philly offered him more money and he jumped on the offer and after thinking about it realized he would rather play in indy with luck, now it comes down to opportunity or money for him

i would be ecstatic if we got gibson hes totally worth the 2nd, and if we got searcy aswell we would be set at safeties

You think if we throw out an offer to him he might reconsider and join with a superbowl contender with less drama, i suspect as a veteran he might have taken issue with the 49ers suspect head coach signing but that is just my opinion

I'm still thinking/hoping Wilfork, Ngata (if he is ever released), or Fairley or some combination will be signed. Also the 49ers are releasing a "key player" today. Fingers crossed for Patrick Willis. Gosh now people are going to think my hope is a rumor and it's going to happen....
Willis is going to announce his retirement tuesday, i dont know if this is separate from the key player or not

i liked the 4 mil a year contract the saints gave to ingram but i wouldnt give that to a rb over 30

Thank god. i was hoping we would get Ingram if the saints didnt resign him, 4 years 16 mil seemed like a bargain to me

Can you elaborate as to why? he would immediately help our defense, as an OLB in a 3-4 and as a DE in a 4-3, i dont think he is expecting a big pay day if we can land him on a 1 year deal i would take him even if he is suspended 2-4 games

I actually agree with, i think Lofton might be as bad or worse in pass coverage then DQ, and i would love hardy but it would depend on his price tag and suspension

Saints are reportedly shopping Curtis Lofton around in an attempt to get out of there cap space hell. A solid ILB only 28 years old never missed a game in his career and played heavy snaps last year. Only worry would be his contract but would you guys be open to a trade for him? It immediately fills a need and frees us up from considering an ILB in the early rounds.
As for Hardy assuming the panthers release him, based on how long his suspension is, would you guys want to sign him to 1 year deal? if he keeps out of trouble and performs well as an OLB he could be a beast pass rusher for us and also fills and immediate need.

I love the trade for philly, Kiko was a monster his rookie year, he would have been one of the top OLB's this year if he hadnt torn his acl, and Shady had a down year which happens and he could bounce back but with all the eagles needs like resigning maclin, fixing the D especially the secondary, by getting rid of shadys big contract they saved themselves some money for FA in the next two years and acquired a cornerstone LB that fills one of their needs. As for their RB position, a chip kelly offense obviously suits the RB position but as you saw at oregon he is more then capable of using a RB by committee approach, plus a RB's are a dime a dozen, i know mccoy is one of the best in the league and is only 26 but they will do just fine with sproles polk and a rookie or a cheaper FA. They also cut trent cole and todd herremans to save some money most likely to spend on Byron Maxwell.

Id be happy if we gave up a fifth rounder or later pick for marshall, and if he ends up a FA the price tag would have to be very reasonable and an incentive based contract either way

he could be what we wanted from Laron Landry a physical presence, hard hitter, but not a liability in pass coverage, id be happy with it based on the price tag
