Not sure why the front office is taking this approach. Why be so secretive about it. Your not fooling any of your opponents. They know exactly where Luck is at. Why not just tell us that he's weeks away and stop the charade.
By the time he comes back the season could be long gone. At that point get him ready for 2018.

Per Fox's Jay Glazier:
Luck (shoulder) still isn't able to make all the throws he needs to do before participating in practice and probably will miss another 3-4 weeks, Fox's Jay Glazer reported on their Sunday pregame show.
This falls in line with other reports describing Luck's lack of progress. Be prepared to see plenty of Jacoby Brissett and Scott Tolzien over the next few weeks.

Yet the Colts tell us he hasnt had a setback. Could be seeing alot of JB this year.

Pagano just said in his press conference no annoucement yet on starting QB....seriously!
-
If Tolzien marches out there Chuck should be shown the door.
-
Yes!!!!!!!!! Love this! Tolzien should never be allowed to step on the field in a colts uniform ever again. He was always a backup at best, was never starting caliber.
We should be more competitive in this next game. Brissett has a much better arm, can push the ball down the field and can take the ball himself if needed.
Excited to see what he can do! Lets go JB!!! Lets go ColtsNation!!!!

That could fall in line with what JMV said a few days ago about him potentially being ready for week 3.
It will depend on how many weeks they want Luck to practice before playing.
-
Sorry I meant any link to him possibly getting back on the practice field next week.
-
The colts dont practice on tuesdays.
Limited on Wed I assume? Now if thats the case would he play vs Browns?
-
Any Links?

With Luck we can win the division
-
Means he could return to practice sooner then later.
-
Its one game people. if were 0-4 then we can have this chat.
My gut tells me Brissett is in for Week 2.
Relax!
-
If Tozien goes in we've lost already. Brissett at least gives us a chance to compete. They better do what's best for the football team!

Someone please close this thread. Nonsense!

I agree that the Colts won't be out of it but the team is a mess right now. They need Andrew Luck back in a bad way as well as Vontae Davis and Ryan Kelly. If Brissett can start the next few games and get a win or 2 and Luck can make it back by week 4 then they have a chance. If the Colts continue forward with Tolzien and are 0-4 going into the 49ers game and Luck comes back, he'd have to go 9-3 or probably 10-2 just to have a chance at the playoffs. I don't see it happening unless the Colts can scrounge up a few wins with Luck out.
Putting Tolzien in would make logical sense if were trying to win a few games without Luck. Putting Jacoby in means that were at least trying to win. The coaching staff is unwilling to admit that they messed up with Tolzien. Just bite the bullet and move on from him I was a DE in high school. Tolzien is easy to sack.
-
I agree though that if we start Tolzien its the same thing as admitting failure.
Brissett Needs to start this week.
-
NO david Johnson either for Cards so we will prepare for a pass heavy cards

Heres my take on all of this.
I still think we are going to win the AFC South this season. The other 3 teams in our division are not going to pull away from us. Jacksonville beat a demoralized Houston team. They arent going anywhere. Houston has question marks at QB and the Titans HAVE NOT beaten the Colts in the AL12 era. We dont even play a division opponent until Luck is back. So as long as the other teams in the south continue to suffer, well still have a great chance once 12 returns.
Lets also remember that Tolzien wont be in much longer. Jacoby Brissett might even start this week which will make us more competitive IMO. We cant play any worse then we did last week so I def expect us to be better in Week 2.
So unless an AFC South starts pulling away in the division, well be right there in the mix with AL12 back healthy and 6 games to play against the South teams.
We were number 1 last week on defence against the run. We will fix the pass def. We have no where to go but up.
Stand up and GO COLTS GO!!!!!
-
I just wish Brissett would start week 2. Watching Tolzien was painful.
-
Once Luck is Fully cleared to practice Im not buying the whole he needs to practice 2-3 weeks before playing. He needs to practice a full week for sure. I still feel like he plays week 3.
-
i say he returns to practice on monday. Practices for 2 weeks and makes his grand return vs the Browns in Week 3.
-
Rams are not exactly a contender. If we can run the ball and play good enough defense and make just enough throws there is no reason to believe that we cant beat this team. I do think it will be close.
Colts absolutely win this game. 17-14

I'm just worried about the health of the players man. Luck, Vontae, Kelly....
Kelly and Vontae should only miss a few games. Praying the same for #12

This also contradicts last weeks report that said Kelly and Luck could both return to practice wednesday as limited
