... other options at this point FS Bacarri Rambo or OG Alvin Bailey.
These are three players that might available to us in he 3rd (no trades).
-
Due to free agency next year we will try to sign ILB Kiko Alonso
-
Besides the owner of the Jags prefers his players to be married and family oriented not single players.
Goodluck drafting
-
Strongly believe 5 OTs go in round 1.
I also have mocked the Jags taking a tackle and still leaves them taking a great DE early in round 2. If the Jags try swapping the scenario it works against them.
-
Frederick wilk be gone in round #2 to the Packers and they will probable take DT William in the 3rd right before us.
I think we would be happy with Jones and look at Kiko Alonso in the third.
-
Depends on whom we think will be available for us in the 3rd round. Do we also focus on replacing next years free agents. Just have to wait and see how our internal draft mock analysis of all team needs and calculate our best chance to select a player that fits our team's system.
-
Visit Jets personal team NFL homepage they already have ideal draft of players listed.
-
A guard with Cooper's talent has a great long-term upside well into his 30's compared to other 1st round picks this year barring serious injuries.
-
My 2 cents Jets need help at LBs for base 3/4. They lost too many OLBs and will looking to upgrade.
With the talent pool this year teams would be foolish to draft a QB before round 3.

2nd rounds are LB and RB for Bengals

Schwenke benched more than Jones and ran faster in the 40. Also have noticed Jones drop from #1 to #3 post injury. Both players were nationally recognized as top guards before moving to center this past year. Just an option to keep in mind and would give us another player(s) we could move to center if needed due to injuries or poor play.
If I understood point system for trades IMO our best trade might be to trade our #24 to the Bills for their second and third round picks plus their 6th round either this year or next. Depending on whom the Panthers take with their second round pick we may be leveraged to take Schwenke in early third using the Bills spot. Will assume Packers take Frederick in round 2.
-
IMO Cardinals take Warmack and if the Bills pass on Cooper then have the Chargers taking Cooper. Besides we might be better off taking either center Schwenke former RG or Jones later left guard with better achievements at guard than the one year at center.
Am starting to think trading back with the Bills is our best optionand take WR (Hopkins) with their 2nd unless Patterson falls to us at 24.
-
Rather trade with the Bills our 24th pick and acquire their 2nd, 3rd and 2014 6th round. Take WR DeAndre Hopkins in round two and select RG/C Brian Schwenke early with Bills swap then hope to get DT Brandon Williams with #86
-
IMO only option for trading is up in the 4th round with the Panthers swaping 4ths and giving them our 6th. Assuming only Packers and Panthers really only two teams in dire need of a center. Expect Packers to take Frederick in 2nd and Panthers have no 3rd pick allowing us to take C/RG Barrett Jones in the 3rd and LG/C Brian Schwenke by moving up to pick 108 from 121.
Panthers need to fill multiple positions and expect them to draft a DT in 1 and a WR in round 2. However they may imploy same strategy and forgo the WR.
-
* Datone Jones
* Barrett Jones
* Brian Schwenke
* Rex Burkhead
Mr. Irrelevant - Marcus Davis
Movement choice: Trade up in 4th round with Panthers giving away our 6th if Schwenke still available
Undrafted selections:
* Troy Stoudemire
* Walt Cant
* Andy Muluba
* John Major
* Gary Walker
* Michael Brooks
* Jake McDonough

IMO best case I've been able to model is:
1) DE Datone Jones capable of switching from DE to OLB
3) C either Barrett Jones or Travis Frederick. Only Panthers and Packers really need a great center and best case is Panthers take one in 2nd since not having a 3rd pick. Packers looking at DT first pick and 2nd round they have multiple holes to fill RT, FS, CB or Center. We pick before the Packers in round 3 so am high on our luck
4) WR Da'Rick Rogers Due to team need I think WRs will fall lower in this draft. Although not big on Rogers character issues a Julio Jones clone would upgrade our receiving squad.
6) RB Jawan Jamison a little small and not an every down back but has all around game skill set to split carries
7th rounders open to suggestions
CB Troy Stoudemire from Minnesota mostly special teams as nations best KR
Center Will Matte from Indiana never allowed a sack in all his playing
Other future undraftables
John Major from Colorado used in SAM or MIKE
Walt Canty safety from Duke
FB Lonnie Pryor of florida State
OG Jacolby Ashworth Houston

Rams wouldn't suprise me if they took WR Tavon and RB Lacy. From latest draft analyst looking more probable that Cooper may fall to us seeing how guards generally not selected in first round.
-
Rex Burkhead best un-drafted player we can get
-
Best case were looking at is:
1) DE Datone Jones
3) OLB Zavier Gooden
4) OLB Lerentee McCray
6) WR Josh Boyce
7ths TBD
-
Alvin Bailey will be gone in the 3rd round to TB Bucs. Also gone in 3rd round is Trevardo Williams to the Bills.
-
If the Rams don't take Elam which they should be drafting FS Vacarro then a WR next leaving Elam falling to the Bengals before our 24th pick.
-
Seems too many teams need to address other areas that have forcasted many top WRs to be available til the 5th and 6th rounds. Not to say a few will be gone earlier. Just don't see us going after a WR until 6th round or later. Most of our roster is set but will need to focus on next years free agent/resigings.
Our first round pick will most likely be DE. Then linebackers with 3/4 picks.
-
After running a model of first two rounds seems C Barrett Jones has Colt potential as #1 taking him away from the Packers. Also no way G Alvin Bailey will be available to use in 3rd round based on too many teams needing OG help.
-
As for drafting Renfree I read he was coached by same person who coached both Mannings. Luck has been compared highly and strong family history with the Mannings only makes perfect sense to me to draft him. Hasselbeck wont be the long term answer as backup at his age.
Burkhead would be a nice change of pace back who has great receiving skills and enough power to move the chains.
Trade up?

Fail in our part passing on Jesse Williams and Quinton Patton in the 4th. Either on would be a upgrade and starter. Not sure we needed another backup center.
