  1. If I remember right, Williams made it a point that they were going after Peyton. He even said to the media that they were going to deliver "forget-me" shots or something to that effect. However, Peyton was in there healthy for the whole game. I actually don't remember any of our players getting injured in that game and having to leave. Had that have happened, one could make a strong case that they should be stripped of the Lombardi (one could already make a case that they should be stripped of it due to how they played against Warner and Favre).
  2. Simple dink and dunks will shrink the defense making there secondary only needing to cover for 2-3 seconds. You at least need to have a deep threat to spread them out. I'd bring the stretch play back and make there D-line and Linebackers play the entire field, also the end around might be good too (even though it really never works). They are on a short week so I'd like to see long sustained drives that keeps there Defense on the field as much as possible. I'd also go no huddle (not hurry up) so they can't substitute players on drives.

On defense I'd stop the run and make Schaub throw to win. I could see Cory Redding having an excellent game. I'd force Schaub into 3rd and longs and make him check to his 3rd option giving our dline some time to get some hits on Schaub.

If we play this game right we shouldn't have to score a bunch to win. I would say 20-24 pts probably wins this game.

  3. Yeah, it's Schaub's fault he went out with an injury before he could get to the postseason last year. We'll be seeing a win this year, I think. You let them put up 59...yeah that's keeping it a game. 11-2 now, buddy, soon to be 12-2, if I'm looking at my crystal ball right...By the way, still the best record in the AFC. Just putting that out there for ya.

  4. The Texans aren't that hard to beat.

I live in Houston and it's plain as day.

First slam Schaub to the ground and he will get rattled and cry like a baby.

Plug the holes and stop Foster and cover Andre Johnson like a blanket.

Get out to an early lead and the Texans cannot handle it. They will fold and the fans will turn on them and start to boo by the end of the first half.

The Texans know that their window is closing after this year because Luck will be good enough then to own them for years to come like PM did.

  5. Hi guys.

New here as you can tell I'm a die hard Saints fan. But I pulled for the Colts because of Peyton Manning, unless the Colts are playing the Saints.

I'm listening to Houston sports radio right now and they have been getting slammed all week because of their pathetic showing against the Pats on Monday night.

RIGHT NOW they are saying that Luck is a franchise qb, not Schaub and they are VERY worried Luck coming in here and destroying the Texans.

The OP makes a good point. This IS Luck's hometown and where his Daddy played for the Oilers. He especially wants to do good here and will step it up when he comes to town.

And there will be a lot of Luck fans in the stands, me included. I think he is going to destroy the Texans. Maybe not this game but he will own them for many years to come.

I can almost lay money on the fact that the fans will be booing by the end of the first half. For one reason because of the Texans predictable unimaginative play calling and another because in their hearts they know that the Colts went from Manning to Luck and here we go all over again. I'm going to love it.

If Luck can play like he is and the Colts can have the kind of record they do with a rookie, what do you think is going to happen next year and the year after.

Listen when I tell you this. The Texas are not what you think. They are a good team but not elite. They do not have an elite qb. The Colts do as Luck will be that if he is not already. The Texans cannot beat a team like the Pats or Packers. They have had the benefit of a weak schedule and division, except for the Colts.

All you have to do is stop Foster, slam Schaub to the ground because he's a big baby and then keep and eye on AJ. They cannot overcome adversity.

  6. That's true, it's just like Arians said to the Houston media, "We haven't done anything yet" KC will not be an easy game because the KC crowd is very loud and nuts. If we had Manning, I wouldn't worry as much about KC because he studies so hard and can pick them apart so easily. Luck, can do that I think too but he is more of a gunslinger and I think vs. KC that won't be as effective, and I think Romeo Crennell will game plan to attack Luck all day. Hopefully Andrew can exploit the blitz packages (or better yet, just identify them). We can't get down to KC by a couple TDs , they still do have some firepower.

You should read the KC boards. They hate RC and their quarterbacks. I can bet you any money that the day KC plays the Colts and Luck their board will be overflowing with praise and jealousy for Luck.

KC is not going to win that game. Them and the fans want their season to be over.

  7. Hi everyone I'm new here.

First off I am a die hard Saints fan as you can tell by my handle.

But I am also a Peyton Manning fan and I live here in Houston.

All I can tell you is that whether they are saying it or not, people here (media included) are very worried about this game coming up and about Andrew Luck in general.

The Texans have never had an elite quarterback and they still don't.

They have pretty much been owned by the Colts ever since Peyton was there and now that Luck is there the same will continue.

They already know that Luck is better than Schaub and he's just a rookie! He's only going to get better especially after you get some help on the O line.

I hope Luck destroys the Texans.

    Go Colts.
