I’ll wait and see what it looks like week 1 but I don’t think we will be nearly as bad as we looked if AC is back healthy.

If you watched the game yesterday and heard Irsay in the booth, it’s pretty obvious we aren’t going to pursue Mack. They are dead set on this building through the draft and signing guys for the right price. I agree you have to hit on the draft but you also need to supplement your roster roster with free agent upgrades when available.

The man is a baller. In a few years he could be a pro bowler.

I thought after last week consensus was he was done and Brissett was the future.

Pass Rush prospects are never a slam dunk. You know what you get with Mack. He fills a need at arguably the most important position on defense. If you have no pass rush, teams will carve the Tampa defense up every week. Gotta get pressure.
That is all.

Most TD receptions since 2012? Dez
seeing how he interacted with everyone on hard knocks during his CLE visit I think he just needs a fresh start. He’s better than any #2 we have. Give him a shot.

I cant believe I'm still giving this thread the time of day but I wanted to post this information in hopes that it will settle the knee jerk reactions down a tad. I think we can all agree that Drew Brees is pretty decent at football. He had an injury to his shoulder that held him out for 4-6 months (i cant remember exactly how long and was too lazy to look) Below are his pre season stats and the stats for his first few reg season games back.
Pre Season
Game 1: 5-9 60 yards 0 TD 0 INT 55.6% completion percentage
Game 2. 7-12 67 yards 0 TD 0 INT 58.3%
Game 3. 19-29 189 yards 0 TD 2INT 65.5%
Game 4. 8-12 78 yards 0 TD 0 INT 66.7%Regular Season
Game 1. 16-30 170 yards 1 TD 1 INT 53.3% completion percentage
Game 2. 26-41 353 yards 2 TD 1 INT 63.4%
Game 3. 20-28 191 yards 0 TD 0 INT 71.4 %
Game 4. 28-38 349 yards 1 TD 0 INT 73.7%
Game 5. 21-33 171 yards 1 TD 0 INT 63.6%
Game 6. 27-37 275 yards 3 TD 2 INT 73%Bye
Game 7. 24-45 383 yards 3 TD 3 INT 53.3%
Game 8. 24-32 314 yards 3 TD 0 INT 75%As you can see his pre season numbers were terrible and it took him a few weeks to get going AND he didnt miss a quarter of the time Luck did.
Sooooo, understand its going to take time for him to get back in rhythm. If you dont understand that then you are in for a long season.

My goodness, he’s maybe had 6-7 drives this preseason after missing a whole year, coming back to new offense, anc no chemistry with new skill players (saw this on the INT, he expected the RB to keep going inside)
did I mention it’s pre season? Holy crap, I’m gonna go start a thread complaining about something completely obvious, not sure what yet but it’ll be a real productive thread, like this one.

I cant tell who it is but someone is unconscious on the ground in this fight. Seems like its time to end practice before someone gets seriously hurt
It was Pascal, he walked off towards the end. He wasnt unconscious. Def getting very chippy out here.

Luck threw a pick in practice?!?!. Think we can still get a good draft pick for him? Better move on now before his arm turns into a noodle and falls off.

I don't know how many he's thrown this camp, but it seems like too many vs this defense.
I just quickly looked through it so Might be off one or two but hes At like 24 TD and 7 INTS in 11 practices, whole new coaching staff, scheme and skill position players AND he’s been out for 1,545 days (give or take a few hundred) coming of surgery on his shoulder. He’s wayyyyy ahead of schedule imo

Luck never had a cannon imo anyways. He's not Chad Pennington, but his zip looks pretty good for someone thats been through what he's been through. He still seems to throw a lil too many ints imo. But I've been impressed with the vids I've seen and he seems to get stronger every week. Hopefully he keeps improving
Too many INTs still?

I’ve been to a few practices and luck has looked better than expected and he does put zip on it when needed. Luck made a pass to Doyle this week during practice that had a lot of zip on it. Ball was placed exactly where it had to be and came out hot. I think it was even in that mic’d Up video of luck.
Regarding overthrowing or underthrowing, he’s still learning how fast/slow a lot of these receivers are. He hasn’t played in forever and hasn’t a played with some of these guys before. He’ll be fine, if the people in charge of the colts aren’t worried, I’m not worried.

We hope, but he has yet to coach a game.
It still mainly comes down to talent. If the talent isn't there on defense, if the O-line doesn't show dramatic improvement, it will be the same struggle, but now in a much improved division.
Talent is a big part of it but BB has proven you don’t need great talent across the board to win games. Look what he did in 2008 when Brady went down week 1.
Im not saying you can win with a bunch of scrubs but great coaching can hide a lot of flaws.

I don’t think people fully understand how much of an impact making a change at HC is going to have. We were simply “out-coached” in several games last year.
Getting a lead and playing super conservative in the 2nd half was the norm last year.
Players dhdnt improve with the old staff which cripples teams. Now we have hope.
Luck for the first time will have a good o line (assuming AC is healthy) and a quality HC who has not only played the game but won a super bowl last year.
I’m so jacked up for this season.

I’m shocked people are actually complaining about these physical practices. We have consistently started the season with losses and played soft. Many would argue the reason we came out slow the last few years is because training camp wasn’t physical enough. If we had a game this weekend I’m sure all but 1 or 2 would play.

They need a cool name like legion of boom (Seattle secondary)

Doesn’t matter the location...Gotta love the irony for a star QB that missed a year...which way is the locker room...priceless to catch that on video.
It’s the first time camp Is being held in Westfield, In. Went to school in Westfield from 1st grade through Senior year so pretty cool to see they are holding colts camp there.

Easy to say now with hindsight. Had he not signed, you would of started bashing Ballard like many others on this forum. Best not to run your mouth wig. You had no idea just like me, and I'm the wrong person to try and bully, so don't even attempt it.
Hahahahaha what?????
