I agree and that was part of my point.  But, given the choice of playing for a contender with a few less dollars in your pocket, or cashing in an playing for a loser, I would take the former.

It’s not just a few bucks we are talking about. It’s millions. That was  my point.

What's the over/under on how many of these high priced free agents will be demanding trades from these bad teams in 2 years?  I realize you get as much $$$ as you can, because no NFL career is guaranteed to last due to potential injury, but I would also think where you play is worth something.  Take a little less cash and play for a contender.  We know money doesn't buy happiness, but I would be happy looking at a nice big Super Bowl Championship ring for a long time.

That ring won’t pay for your retirement, we’ve seen many broke athletes auction theirs off. I will never criticize someone for doing what’s right for their family/future. NFL is crazy, it can all end in one play.

To anyone who's getting upset by the lack of signings, you didn't pay attention. Ballard said from the get-go what his philosophy was and the local media has been telling you for months to not expect any major signings. If you chose not to listen, that's on you. Relax people.

Don’t think this is going to make those people feel any better. This exact post has been said over and over and over  That’s almost as crazy as people thinking Ballard is going to pay big money for a free agent.

Look at the teams spending tons of money in the first few days and making big splashes and that'll tell you all you need to know.  Teams like Washington, the Jets, Oakland, Detroit make big splashes in the offseason and it rarely leads to regular season success.  Not only that, but Ballard's track record has earned him the benefit of the doubt.

    Packers. Chiefs.

  5. We all love Vinny but it’s time to move on. At this point in his career he is not going to get better, it’s only downhill from here and I don’t want him to really start regressing in the middle of a playoff run.

Not sure what you are saying..... the Chiefs D was bad, you don't suck purely because you score on offense.....  our D in the Manning years was much the same, they had good pressure numbers, but the D blew * as a whole.... KC is much the same, it's been proven over 16 games...... our O was that craptastic today, Luck was never really much after he got planted the first time, which is COMPLETELY uncharacteristic for him, and alarming to me at least.... Dud short armed a TON of throws after that.....

We see it every game when a team goes up big. The defense goes conservative and the other team piles up yards. That defense gives up 18 at home. Top five in sacks and turnovers. They aren’t terrible.

  7. Watson doesn’t impress me as a passer. If you make him stay in the pocket and force him to be accurate he will struggle. The Texans window is closing IMO. Only team I worry about in AFC South is Titans and maybe Jags if they get a QB but I honestly think we start a 5-7 year reign and take back the South.

  8. 2nd half was all

about not turning it over and making the Texans best us. If the game was closer, Reich would’ve been more aggressive but he knew the only way they were getting back in it for real was to get a big game/momentum changing play from their defense.
