Peyton,
Get well soon!
-
I'm glad they at least scored in the second half. I'm sure the pressure was on to get that first score. You could kind of see the relief in the team once they finally scored. I have a feeling we won't see another one sided game like that again (for a while anyways). We may not win all the rest of the games this season, but we won't get kicked around like we did in the first half today. GO COLTS!!

Our defence has proven they can make the plays. They just need to be more consistent and keep the momentum going when they do. This will definately be their time to prove themselves to the world.

I'd say that this is the biggest test the Colts have had in the past decade. It will definately be interesting. I'm still going to wear my traditional Peyton Manning jersey on Sunday. I'm still going to watch the game (sitting at the edge of my seat). I'm still going to swear and cuss at the bad plays and calls. I'm still going to cheer at the great plays (and there will me some good plays). Overall, I'll be watching MY TEAM!! MT COLTS!! Love 'em or leave 'em! They belong to me in my living room on Sunday and I can't wait to see them again! Heal yourself good Peyton! I'll see you when you get better. Go Colts!!

The season hasn't even started and people have us in last place. Geesh! At least let us play a few games before we all start jumping off cliffs! I honestly don't think the Colts are just playing cards at practice this week. I have a feeling that they are going to really surprise the Texans on Sunday.

Thanks. I thought I read on Indystar.com or some other trusted site that both he and Gonzo sat out yesterday. For the life of me, I don't understand why Gonzo is taking up a roster spot.
Tell me about it. I thought for sure he'd be cut. I swear I can't even remember when I last saw him out on the field. Money for nothing!

Well, the Colts have been trying to establish a credible running game for the past few years. Now I think they will be forced to do it. The Colts might be better off in the long run. You never know. If we establish a good running game now (because we have to) and them Peyton comes back and then look out!

When is the final day that they have to be down to 53?

Since I live in CA, this was the only pre-season game that I was able to see. I have to say that I was a little disappointed. I know that this was just a pre-season game. I've been a fan for long enough to know that pre-season doesn't give you any real indication of the real strength of the team. However, I've been reading lately on this forum about the defense and all of the improvements that were made and I guess I was expecting to see more from them. There were some great individual performances tonight. Mostly on Offense though (from what I could see). I'm hoping that I see a different defense come week one. The one I saw tonight looked (from what I could see)as mediocre as always. I don't know I guess I got my hopes up too high.

Was optimistic until I saw the Irsay tweet.
Irsay's tweets aren't that reliable. If they were, we would have been watching Favre tonight instead of Collins.

They just paid for him, why wouldn't they get some playing time out of him. Besides, I think the I'm a little curious to see what the Colts just bought. Kinda like getting a new toy. One that won't be as good as Manning (obviously).

ITS PEYTON
Once again, thank you for the clarification! I've been reading this forum for the past four years and hesitated to make any comments. Now I'm sorry that I did. I'm a Colts fan and always will be, I'm not so sure I'm a forum fan though.

I wish we had PAyton.... man he was a great running back..
My spelling isn't the greatest. Sorry

This might force the Colts into developing a stronger running game. Which is what they have been needing. Now, when Payton gets back, they hopefully keep the running game alive along with Payton's ariel assualt. Might just be a good thing. Go Colts!

In my opinion, our biggest problem is our offensive line. Remember the old saying "a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link"? Isn't that ironic? "Link" Get it? lol
