  1. Hines has been disappointing.  Wilkins, on the other hand, has shown promise.  Mack is supposed to start on game one, along with Michaels and Wilkins.  As far as I’m concerned, the Colts can cut Hines and I wouldn’t care one bit.  I do feel that we might pick another RB up from another team ( along with an obvious RT).  Game 5 we will get Turbo back too.

It doesn't feel like a huge deal, it is a huge deal because it's Andrew Luck. No individual player is anywhere near as important as him. I didn't get as worked up about Varga because he was a FB, but that doesn't mean the Colts FO didn't lie about him too. In fact, you admitted they lied about that as well, which just proves my point.

The Pats can do it and get away with it because they have credibility as a franchise. Half the time they go to the SB. So they lie about an injury or whatever, and the fans can go along with what happened and trust the process knowing things are likely to work out. It's not like that with the Colts. Anyone who has put their trust in Irsay since 2012 has been let down because Grigson and Pagano didn't know what they were doing, and now we are getting the runaround on Luck the last couple years. Irsay, Ballard, and Reich have 0 credibility when it comes to their word, and so far, there's 0 reason to believe things are going to work themselves out until Luck is officially back to full health. Add Leonard and Braden not signing and it just adds frustration for me.

I'll stop holding a grudge once they stop wasting my time and actually keep their word about something. Like I told NCF, I've gone from being optimistic to being very frustrated again.

Reich and Ballard have just started to work together.  It’s only been a few months.  I know Irsay owns the team, but he may have finally put the team back on the right path.  The holdouts could just be the players have personal business to attend to.  TC hasn’t even started yet.  I bet within the next week you’ll see them sign.

There are currently 15 players for what they keep calling an 8 man rotation. Which 7 get cut? Wow.....I can't remember a time when the Colts had this many quality players to choose from. None of them may be superstars (yet) but they are quality players.

    DE

    Sheard - Lock?

Simon - Seemingly a lock, but maybe as a SAM?

Basham - Lock as a draft pick?

Turay - Lock as a draft pick?

McCain - On the bubble but unique skillset as a true speed rusher

Anthony "Freak" Johnson - bulked up to 325 for the NFL (Dolphins) and is now down to 275 in an effort to make this team. Once timed at 4.80 in the 40 at 300+ hence he got the nickname "Freak". On the bubble.

    DE/DT

Autry - Lock as a FA Signee this year?

Lewis - Lock as a draft pick?

    DT

Hunt (2nd year of 2 year contract) on the bubble

    Ridgeway - On the bubble

Woods (2nd year of 2 year contract) on the bubble

Laulile - On the bubble as an UDFA

Reid - On the bubble (had one really solid year in Detroit)

Stewart - Lock as a draft pick?

Nunez-Roches - On the bubble, but was drafted by Ballard in KC so may have a leg up

Now, if my memory serves me correctly.....most 4-3 teams typically keep 10 defensive lineman. That gives guys like Hunt and McCain (and Simon to a degree) who play special teams a chance to stick as the 9th and 10th man!

So that makes 5 more than likely that will be cut, but again.....which 5?

This is not counting any potential June 1st salary dumps.....or end of preseason waiver wire pickups!??!

It’s nice to have this kind of dilemma, as opposed to not having any talent to choose from.  Besides, there’s always the practice squad.  You know they will put a few of these guys there.

A lot really. A player who is stated to not really know how to play the game by Analysts and had his best year as a freshman says a lot about his developmental potential. Also, I'm not too sure if we can afford projects at this point in time. After seeing the first two picks in the second round, I was a bit upset but they are both most likely starters right away. I hope the same for Turay, but he's also had a rough past with injuries that has stunted his already stunted development. Hopefully the D-Line coach and Mathis can help the kid out.

And to all those who said that Ballard knows more than us fans, no duh. So did Grigson

I like the way Ballard is picking.  He seems to not favor either side, which is smart.
