The all whites would look great with a blue helmet
They would look better if they had anything at all to break up the monotony.

You can thank me for that. I designed it. Posted it to twitter, Robert Mathis loved it, retweeted it and I got a lot of mixed replies. Can't please everyone, but there's nothing worse than being a shutdown to any type of change. People poop their pampers too easily over something that really isn't that big of a deal.
I really like they way those look. I'm all for new uni's. Never been a huge fan of the "classic" style they have had forever. They just look old and out of date. I absolutely hate the all-whites. Change is good, especially when it's just aesthetics.

Seems like he would be on special teams at first. He is fast and big. He could really be awesome on special teams. On the McAfee show he said he has gained 35 lbs of muscle since he got here...
Whoa. Hope the added mass didn't nerf his speed too much.

Hes OUT AGAIN!
Well, there you go. Bummer. I was hoping he would get a chance to shine against his former team.

I hope you didn't take offense. I come to this board for several reasons but one of the main reasons is because the fans on here link and find things that I could not or don't have the time too look for, so I really was just asking for information.
Not at all. I try to not take anything on internet boards too seriously; and as we can see, I was in fact, wrong.

I'm not doubting you, I'm just wondering why you are so sure, he has had two days of DNP in practice.
Not sure at all. I thought I saw an update that said he would play earlier this week. I could be way off.
-
Not much. He is familiar with the capabilities and tendencies of Luck, Hilton, et al. but the schemes are totally different.
I'm more concerned about his knowledge of our defense. That is more or less unchanged from his time here.
And yes, Toler will play on Sunday.

Don't be hatin' on board games anybody.
That's the real old school. And still some how more fun than video games today.
Indeed. He grew up in Germany and the Germans love their board games.
Not that there aren't any boardgame enthusiasts in The States but we are a bit more niche here.

I am a leaf on the wind, watch how I soar.
OMG I also saw this movie!!!

I always enjoy a Patriots loss, but a Patriots loss that benefits our playoff prospects is especially sweet.

Ha, those two look like behemoths up there with the tiny indie band.
Castonzo looks like he could go Conan the Barbarian and start slaughtering the wee minstrels.

Now every time an opposing QB breaks containment I'm gonna have to go into Burgess Meredith mode and yell "Whatsa matter! You can't catch a little chicken?!" at my TV.

Slow Starts:
I think the best way to avoid the slow starts on offense is to go no-huddle, up tempo, with the emphasis on PASSING. Once we get a few conversions, then run up the gut and gash the d.
It seems to me the defense is the bigger reason for the slow starts.
I wonder what goes into Manusky's game planning over the week because the D just looks confused out there for the first half. Kudos for being able to adjust. Seriously, that isn't easy to do. Many teams struggle with mid game adjustments and it says a lot about our players and our coaching staff that they are able to get it done but, I mean, come on. Got to get that D ready to go at kick off.

Hugh Thornton played very well tonight, particularly in the second half. Many of those huge DB rushes were sprung by blocks from him.

You have been cracking me up with all your posts today TK.

No-o-o-o-o-body!
Oh, wait. That's not how that goes.
What was the question again?

I, personally, want to see comparison numbers between Luck & Elway. I think they are more alike than Luck & Manning.
I agree. Elway was an elite physical athlete. The press on him was very similar to what you see about Luck.
That said, I am surprised that Luck and Manning's numbers are so similar right now.

I think it's funny that people are trying to knock Thornton, especially after Collinsworth made a comment about him last night. He makes some rookie mistakes but outside of that one play where Collinsworth pointed out Thornton getting beat, the other times he got beat was when they overloaded his side and he and Satele were trying to block three guys. If you actually watch the online Thornton has been playing at a very good level.
The person that said the Colts should move AC to guard... I'm sorry but you have no understanding of oline play and what is good, what is bad nor what each position requires.
Not to mention that Thornton was matched up against the Texan's second best pass rusher* all night. He had his hands full in the first half but after they made some adjustments he played very well. Everyone needs to bear in mind that he is only a rookie who was injured early and saw little playing time until DT went down. Don't they say the O-Linemen generally see great strides in effectiveness from their 1st to 2nd year? I think he is already playing pretty well. His ceiling is quite high.
* which would put him in the running for best pass rusher on most teams.

Luck plays for the full 60. He is elevating this team in his second year.

Lol at all of these new members who come out of the woodwork to overreact.

I've told this story before but here goes again. What made me a Colts fan? A tetherball tournament, a pencil and a hat.
I am from out west. Growing Up, my family were all Bronco's fans, but I never really cared about football.
Then in 4th grade I won a tetherball tournament at my school. As part of my prize I won a complete set of NFL pencils. Pencil fighting* was really big in my school at the time. I traded some of the pencils away and kept the rest for fighting. As anyone who ever fought with those pencils knows, they were terrible fighters. They would often break very early in the fight. They were all that way except one, the Colts pencil. It must have been made of oak. It won 5 consecutive fights and gave me bragging rights like you wouldn't believe. I retired it to a shrine in my desk that I constructed out of a cardboard pencil box and numerous colts stickers. It was horribly dented and deformed but it was my most prized possession at the time.
I ended up talking so much smack about my unbeatable Colts pencil that everyone just assumed that I was a fan of the team as well. Later on that year, one of my friends bought me a Colts hat for my birthday. That was in '88-'89. Been a fan ever since.
*This is where two people each get a pencil and they take turns thwacking the other pencil until one of them breaks.

Great post Jules! I agree, this is Luck's team and as long as he is playing they can beat anyone.
I would like to see more short, quick passes to TRich. I think he can break for big yardage if he can get the ball in the second level. And his hands are supposed to be great for a HB.

This offense that just scored 26 in a half stinks?
Welcome to the ignore list.

Or the pass that hit fleener right in the hands. Pretty sad
That is one of the worst drops I have ever seen. The pass was perfect. It zipped through his hands and landed directly in the cradle between his arm and his abdomen, hung there for a split second then he let go of it.
He should have had it when it hit his hands. Then he doubly should have had it when it landed where it did.
Ah well, what can you do? Come get some Denver.
now I know our oline is sorry.

Sounds good but it reminds me of the reports of Chapman taking out OL two at a time from training camp.
We wondered then if it said said good things about our defense or bad things about out OL.
We all know how that turned out.
