  1. Funny all I heard people say about him the past couple of years is that he was over payed and not living up to his contract and that we should cut him because of that. We do it and now fans are saying we made a mistake. Once again our front office does what fans are calling for them to do and then once they do it they blast the front office for making a mistake or stinking, what does that say about our would be GMs?

The Colts didn't way to cut Hayden. They tried to get him to take less money first. He said no. So the Colts released him.

And rightly so. He was/is not a $43M/3-yr corner, plain and simple. That's almost as much as Nnamdi was making in Oakland ($45M/3-yr). There is nothing "shutdown" about Kelvin Hayden.

  2. This is the point i made in the boot vaughn thread. Noone there got it so good post OP.

It's really starting to get pathetic, i have zero confidence in this coach by his own actions. I'm starting to get tired of that dumb look as well.

    This +1

I am now actually getting angry when I see his face.

  3. First of all, WE ARE PENN STATE!

Secondly, my main concern is Peyton missing his first chance to test this 3-4 in Houston. He struggles with it a little more than most QBs because he doesn't really see it that often (which actually makes me happy we now have it in the division, only wish it was sooner). I hope we don't end up with a situation late in the season where we need to beat Houston and Peyton makes mistakes he wouldn't have had he faced the defense earlier in the season.

  4. Caldwell is in way over his head. I simply think he does not have the intelligence to keep pace with how fast the game is at this level, especially for a head coach. Unfortunately, as many have said in the past, we do not have a front office that likes to swallow pride and admit their mistakes.

  5. Dang, people need to slow down. A few minutes against poorly prepared players and #2's doesn't bonify a players worth. Let the kid prove himself before we start regretting not drafting a position that we didn't need in the first place. For all we know, by the time BB wants to trade him, Mallet's worth might be a mere 7th rounder. Don't buy the hype so fast, fella.

Besides, we should have gone after Leinart last year. If anyone could put his ego in check it would be Peyton, and the kid has strong fundamentals. It's the mental game he needs work on, and Peyton is the perfect mentor for him.
