  1. OK, so even though I'm a die hard Colts fan, I did read an article on ESPN this morning talking about RGIII's knee injury. After reading the article I decided to read some of the comments, and it was a total Andrew Luck bash fest. Are these people completely oblivious to the complexity of Bruce Arians' offense and to the FACT that Mike Shannahan is using the Baylor spread offense and that's the ONLY reason he's doing as good as he is, I'm probably more so venting on here about it, but these were the same fans who were crying for Peyton Manning in the offseason, but critical of Luck for throwing Interceptions. In my opinion, they have 0 football IQ, and I normally don't like to bash other fans, but it was just absolutely ridiculous.

Here's the link that proves it's still Baylor's offense

  2. Wouldnt Webb have cost us the #1 pick? No thanks.

I believe so, which was the major downer. Still a d@mn good corner though. I just wonder what our D would be like if we would've gambled on Webb.

  3. In theory it should be a good game. Saints lost by 1 to the Pack, and THE WORST DEFENSE IN THE NFL (NOLA) only surrendered 28 points. Indy is currently ranked 18th in total D. However NOLA's offense is 8th while we're at 17th in total O. Green Bay has the 20th best offense in the league, but the 8th best D. I think the game will be closer than what people are willing to give us credit for. We'll see anyways.

  4. Taking a quick look into our current Cornerback rotation, this is by far arguably the most talented (and fastest) group of corners I've seen in Indy (started following the Colts in '94 when I moved to Indiana). I know a while back the Colts obviously traded a 2nd round pick to the Dolphins for Vontae Davis, BUT during free agency Lardarius Webb was a RFA. I honestly feel this would have been a HUGE lift for Indy considering he already knew the D and is also arguably one of the best corners in the game right now. I'm not a 100% sure but maybe Indy didn't go after him cause I think Baltimore wanted a 1st round pick for him. I still feel we have a n amazing secondary out there, but they just may need more time to gel and learn the schemes. Any other thoughts out there?

  5. There is no doubt that Matt Barkely will be the first overall pick. Here are my choices of the Top 5 list:

-Tennessee Titans-Probably the team less likely to be first overall pick but in the top 5. Jake Locker is still in his second year.

-Jacksonville Jaguars-Not sure if Gabbert is starter material

-Cleveland Browns- Brandon Weeden may be 3rd string material. They have not had much luck in the draft with their picks except for their LT i forgot his name but got selected before Brady Quinn.

-Buffalo Bills-They just have bad luck overall with their team. They start out strong and do horrible the second half of the season

-Minnesota Vikings-Christian Ponder is pretty much questionable.

Every team in the NFL seems to have their quarterbacks set except for these 5. What do you think?

You're thinking of Joe Thomas, and that guy is a stud LT. Weeden looks like cr@p. They have a decent QB in McCoy (not elite, decent) and need to give him the starting job back, unless they absolutely want to go 0-16.

  6. The reason I didnt put the Raiders is because they dont have a first round pick next year until the second. They couldve easily been #1 but idr who they gave it to. I think it was for Carson Palmer or Richard Seymour.

But they definitely would have been #1 and wont make any stupid picks now that Al Davis is gone...(rip Al btw...)

I could imagine them getting a future kick returner in the #1 pick rather then a good quarterback....

They gave it to the Bungholes for Carson, I doubt they go after Barkley

  7. Yeah reports like this really put things into perspective and how unimportant football really is in the grand scheme of things.

Hopefully Pagano takes all the time he needs to kick this diseases's butt.

    My thoughts are with Pagano.

I wouldn't be upset if he took the rest of the season off. What a crappy birthday present! (his 52nd is tomorrow.)

  8. So they have Gronkowski, Hernandez, Shaincoe, Ballard (PUP), Daniel Fells, Brad Herman (IR), and Alex Silvestro (PS). I mean honestly how many more TE's does one team absolutely need? They have 4 starters all together and I'm sure Fells has had his fair share of playing time too. The whole Ballard thing was a low blow to the NYG IMO

  9. After a few posts....all I can say is if he was 26-35 with 3 TDs.......Andrew Luck can make any freakish face he wants......I hope you are a fan and not being strange!

nah I'm a fan, I was looking for Andrew's face for my fantasy team on ESPN for my logo and came across this and bursted out laughing

  10. Kolb is garbage. If I were the Cardinals I'd put my money on Skelton ANY week. I honestly don't know what AZ sees in Kolb, they're horrible with him in the game and always seem to do good when Skelton is in there. Seems they play better games with Skelton (I could be wrong). Granted it's preseason but he completed 75% of his passes. I think AZ has their starter but they're just oblivious to notice it. If they werent oblivious, he'd be the starter and Kolb the back up at this point in his young career.

  11. who knows, maybe Jr could be as good as dad someday. Sr. apparently had some major issues (I think he pointed a gun at Jr's head cause he had a bad grade from school?) but Jr still has a lot of respect for him. I'm surprised Jr hasn't done anything yet to get 95 from Moala, since he wears the number out of respect for his dad. I think he wore 95 at UConn and Philly

  12. I honestly believe if everyone stays healthy on the offense I could see 5-6 wins this year. From what I've been reading on some other sites, this isn't the Colts of old, where the reliability was strictly on Peyton. I'm glad Grigson has been aggressive with FA's and trades, cause even though Polian may eventually go into the HOF as a GM, his system was failing.......and fast. I think the reason I'm hyped for this season is due to the fact we have so many new faces and a lot of them have proven themselves. Let's hope all the moves pay off on the field.
