The Tampa 2 is predicated on having exceptional athletes on key positions. Its a bend but don't break defense that may not work in today's NFL anymore. Certainly doesn't work for a team that now plays from behind more that ever.

The demise of this team is about the erosion of talent throughout the roster. Gonzalez, Hughes and Donald Brown are busts. A team can't survive the mediocre drafts that have taken place the past few years. If Lacey can't cover the Browns' WRs how can he possibly compete against the Saints, Steelers, Pats, etc. I think the Polians are the issue.
