  1. As a guitar player, I've learned that if you can spot the difference between all variations of Reverb in recording, you can pretty much nail whatever decade a song was made in a blindfold test by knowing all the reverb sounds correctly. With digital reverb popularized since the 90's, that might be the reason so many late 90's and 2000's music sound like they were made in the same era (setting aside the evolution in studio production standards). I love digital reverb, so that's not an attack on it, but I do many guitar players that hate reverb with a passion.

Reverb in recording almost sounds Biblical.

      Proverb, Reverb

Reverb makes everything sound better in studio recording. I'll never record without it

Kristine deserves more hits on Youtube and Soundcloud. Buy her music she is amazing and deserves the fan support.

Mitch Murder is an underground producer, he's had some big hits online over the past several years. I've never bought one of his albums sadly, but I love the singles he puts out. Very very well rounded production with all the synth madness. He reminds me a lot of some strange hybrid between Gary Numan and Jan Hammer.

What's up crockett and tubbs? Miami Vice was a very good TV show that had a ton of soon to be well established stars on it back in the mid 80's & 90's Bogie.

  4. R.I.P. Scotty Moore. One of the greatest guitar players ever, definition of legend. Without him there would have never been a Jeff Beck. Rest old one, you were amazing.

Sun record legend along with Jerry Lee Lewis & Johnny Cash. Darn, this has been a tough year for losing groundbreaking musicians.

Thanks for posting this Bogie. I appreciate it.

I am just glad I am not famous since if I was I might think 2016 is my last year.

      This year is getting scary!!!!

  5. Shame such an amazing piece of musical history is going into a rich billionaire's closet as a toy to satisfy his ego, rather than going in a museum where it belongs for fans to enjoy.
  6. You guys must be bored this summer.
  7. Finding Dory looks like a fun sequel! Shame it's not coming out this week

I never saw Finding Nemo. I just remember it was nominated for 8 million Oscars.

But, yes I do like little fish......which reminds me how I wish right now I had some of those little awesome gold fish crackers.

I will probably end up seeing Ghost Busters this summer since of the men folk around me I know will probably want to see it.

My parents have a Melissa McCarthy fan craze too and used to watch that show she was on. If she is in something they go see it, period. So having her in it is huge for the older crowd.

  8. As long as Grigson is running your team, there is no way this team is having a magical year. I'll eat my heart out if i am proven wrong.
  9. I doubt he leaves the Colts, but I wouldn't blame him whatsoever if he did. As long as the same management is around him, he's not going to the Super Bowl.
  10. Aren't I always according to you homers?
  11. Anything is possible. The Colts need a year or another to get back on track, last year they had so many issues that became revealed over time. I don't think they've fixed any of their issues so far and may have to go back into rebuilding mode. I'm hoping for 8-8 or a 9-7 division win for them, that isn't asking for much.

Jules you're right, the Rams deserve it though. They have not made the playoffs now in 12 years. The last time they had a 10 win season was 2003 with the remnants of the GSOT

I'm hoping Goff becomes the next Kurt Warner for them, they've desperately needed a QB for a long time now.

    3. Jules

I think Goff might end up being good. I am not so confident on the dude who went second though but thats the Eagles so who cares lolz.

  13. As long as the Colts are managed the way they currently are, bringing back Grigson, they are very far from being SB contenders.
  14. To be fair, the hype is not making them out to be some juggernaut Super Bowl contender like you guys are stating. Most reports have the AFC South being the division that no one wants to win, and have the Jags going 7-9 to 8-8. That's just 2-3 games off from their 5-11 record, which isn't a big deal at all. The AFC South may no longer belong to the Colts, who have won it so many times by beating up on 3 horrible teams. If the Colts continue in their mediocrity displayed from last year, they can easily be passed up by Houston (proven last year) or Jacksonville, if the Ja

I'm a little late to the party here. I'm glad you received some nice presents from family & friends though.

Thanks as always for your sharp, witty comebacks Jules. Major props to Bogie to notifying us when Jules deserves some much needed recognition on her birthday.

I seen the special editions in theaters when i was in school, and then the abomination called The Phantom Menace right when I dropped out of high school.

I could talk your ear off about Star Wars for hours on end. Star Wars and music, that's my two things I know the most about.

    2. southwest1

      southwest1

Yeah, I'm a bit of a Star Wars nerd myself. CBE, speaking of Return Of The Jedi, that was the coolest movie experience I ever had in the theatre because the whole crowd went awe when the baby ewok popped it's head out of the basket & cheered loudly when the 2nd Death Star blew up on screen. I got goose bumps from the collective bonding session.

I've never experienced anything like that before in my life as a movie goer & sadly, I probably never will again. It was so surreal & unforgettable.

  18. Hopefully he wins for the better of the league. This stopped being about the "controversy" the minute Goodell stepped over and fought it. This is about the power struggle of the leader of the NFL wanting to be unquestioned and do whatever he wants. There wasn't even a controversy to begin with over the deflated balls after all the smoke cleared. One team that was sore losers in a game they were blown out very badly in. This is one of the silliest fabricated witch hunts ever in NFL history.
  19. I want a new Strat, regardless of the fact I don't need a new one. It's no been 4 months since I've really played the Les Paul, I cannot get the same satisfaction out of that guitar that I can a Strat.

    1. Synthetic

      Synthetic

Tried playing it again today, meh...The only thing really going for the LP is having that humbucker in the bridge for easy crunch. That's it, but I can get crunch out of a Strat just fine using an overdrive/compressor combo.

Telecaster > Les Paul. I thought the LP could be as useful as a Tele, but it clearly isn't. At least a Tele, you can beat on it continuously and it stays in tune and can handle aggressive playing.

    2. Jules

      Jules

Also the Les Paul has the name "Les Paul" which makes everyone swooooon at times.

Your stuff with the Strat sounds good anyway. It's crunchy and fluffy and trebles and takes a hard beating and everything else in the lingo book I love to hear. lmao

    3. Jules

      Jules

You will have to keep the Les Paul though probably. It's pretty and it has sentimental value etc.

  22. I would say the Vikings troubles began back in January when the purple rain came down on them with another "they should have won that!" that type playoff game, where they have a scapegoat to blame the loss on. They are the one team that can never admit defeat and give the other team credit, it's always some excuse (the kicker, bountygate, Gary Anderson, etc etc)
  23. I remember that Bucs game, that was from 2009. Tampa was 0-8 and they broke out the beautiful creamsicle orange throwbacks and went to town on them. If i remember correctly, GB had a 10 point lead early in that game and got blown out. The Saints struggle with Tampa Bay the most out of their divisional opponents, they make me far more nervous than Carolina or Atlanta, since I've seen the damage they can do to us.
