  1. I see the colts probably going 6-10 this season based off of the strength of their schedule and my estimate of the team in it's massive rebuilding phase. They could get as many as 9 wins if the stars align properly. I think they have a 50% chance of winning in weeks 14 & 16 against the Titans at home and the Chiefs away. If the Texans have clinched a playoff spot and decide to rest starters against the Colts in the week 17 game in Indy, I think the Colts have a 50% chance to win. If they improve more than most think, and a good team takes them lightly, they could beat a good team they're not supposed to, but I don't see it happening this season.

The games they lose will drive them to improve and give them a chance to evaluate their talent against top opponents. They will also have that experience against those good teams to help them compete better the next time they meet.

They have a season for the offense to gel. They have the season to make the switch on defense to a new scheme. They can use the season to thoroughly evaluate their talent. They end up with a decent draft postion for next year's draft, and should go into that draft with a concrete list of defensive needs with picks to fill those needs.

Next season they improve by another 2 to 3 wins and fill the last few needs in the following draft.

Watch out for the Colts the following season!

    Week 2 Vikes in Indy=win

Week 3 Jags in Indy= win

    Week 7 Browns in Indy=win

    Week 9 Fins in Indy=win

    Week 10 at Jags=win

    Week 12 Bills in Indy=win

Week 14 Titans in Indy=50% chance of win

Week 16 at Chiefs=50% chance of win

Week 17 Texans in Indy=50% chance of win

  2. I'm sad to see Dallas go. One of my favorite Colts. Gald to see them get rid of Addai though. While he could pass block and catch out of the back field really well, he was terrible at running the ball. Brown needs to step up as well. Maybe the Colts can go after a home run RB as well as some more D in next year's draft.

  3. It worked for the Colts in the past. You can't argue with the success of that team (they shall remain nameless in my post) on the East Coast that used 2 TE's to get to the super bowl last year, only to be beaten by Peyton's little brother....again! Luck is also used to working with 2 or 3 TE sets. Less of a learning curve for him and something he's familiar with to help him make a smoother transition to the pros. Plus, as others have stated above, the new coordinator likes to roll like this.

On a side note, I'm pretty happy with the colt's draft. They couldn't get everything fixed, but giving Luck plenty of weapons to get him off to a great start was awesome. They can always work more on the D next year.

This year's draft could have been a little better had we not had to split first picks every other round with the Rams. Another reason we needed a new coaching staff IMHO! It was the wrong time to grow some pride/put it all together and win one to many games last season. That showed extremely bad judgement and foresight IMHO. Glad the Colts went in and cleaned house.

  4. 9-7 and just missing the playoffs. Next season we'll go 10-6 or 11-5, just barely make the playoffs, and lose in the first round. The season after that.....watch out for the colts! They'll go deep into the playoffs, probably just missing making the superbowl. The season after that, they'll make it to the superbowl.
