If Luck struggles early in the season, kind of like Blaine Gabbert did last year, when do you think it'd be time to panic, if at all this year?
No need to panic at any stage regardless of Luck's expected ups and downs. We ride this is out as we did when Peyton came in to the NFL. There will be highs, there will be lows but we must have faith in our next Great QB. The situation Andrew walks in is closer to that of what Troy Aikman walked in to as opposed to Manning. It will be a season of growing pains.

As has been stated, Luck will be out there for as long as our first team o-line are out there. Coach is telling the media what they want to hear.

My first thought - "why bother?
heck no should we look at him as a depth player.

I believe this is one NFL question not up for debate. Jerry Rice is the greatest WR of all time and arguably the greatest player of all-time in some corners.

I agree with Phil Simms, I have Eli Manning in the HOF right now. Two Super Bowl rings, two Super Bowl MVP awards and some of the most clutch performances in recent times with the potential for more rings. Eli, and Peyton, will one day be standing on stage at Canton with Boomer and co.

Curtis Martin's speech was easily the most memorable and THE speech that will be referred too for years to come just like Shannon Sharpe's last season.

Nope, steer clear here in my opinion.
Donovan McNabb believes he can still start in this league and I am of the opinion he could be more of a distraction than anything.

I have the home and away versions with #12 Luck on the back. No issues here.

I think we're a 4-12 type team at best this season. I'd be surprised if we exceed four wins and not surprised if we pick up less.
-
I'd welcome Mike Wallace though I think we're long shots to pick him up here. Stranger things have happened though I won't be holding my breathe.

Thanks for the links.

A good read.
I have never once doubted Peyton's ability to come back to the elite level he played at when with the Indianapolis Colts. It will to the day he retires pain me to see him in another team's uniform.

I am not concerned. Andrew Luck by all reports has a very high football IQ and will have no drams in picking up the new system.
-
No not really. Too early in the piece to make any real comment either way.

I think it's a no-brainer - your team's Training Camp is always the most interesting. Outside of the Colts, you cannot go past the NY Jets.

Andrew Luck is going to be more Aaron Rodgers than Matt Ryan.

I believe we will have a year titled "Growing Pains" when history looks back on it. Winning the division? I won't ever so no chance in the NFL though it's highly unlikely. I am hoping at best we can scratch to .500 at best though I am expecting a season somewhere in the 2-14 to 4-12 record.
Keying error. No ability to edit post.

2-12, 4-14? I think your math is a little off, there is 16 games in a season
Obviously a keying error. Thanks for the correction and adding value to this thread.

I live here in Australia though play on making the trip over to the USA for my annual Colts game. I will be wearing my #12 Luck jersey. I see no real problem with wearing the #18 in homage to Peyton Manning though for now he is at another team and I believe we should all be behind our new franchise QB.

Andrew Luck is a contender though I am not sure he is the favourite for the NFL ROTY. I can see Cleveland's Trent Richardson posting a 1200+ yard, 10 TD type season and improving his team that has some pieces in place for an improved season.

Thanks for this link. We as fans will suffer some short term pain for long term gain.

I believe it's a certainty. I mean come on - Jason Garrett at Dallas as one example.

Spot on article. Love the crew at the Bleacher Report.
Peyton who?

Disrespectful to Peyton, I won't tread that path.
Lighting has struck twice in Indianapolis, I kept on saying it and nothing today proved me wrong pre-season or not. I have called Andrew Luck a future Hall Of Famer in the making and been lambasted on other forums. Luck is as good as any QB coming out of college as I've seen. The comparing of RGIII to Luck will be in some respects be mocked in ten or so years time. RGIII can be good, Luck can be great.
