[What will it take for luck to be better than Manning?]

I know this topic has been done to the point of ad nauseum, but I can't resist asking this question and getting other colts fans thoughts. In my opinion, there is only one way for Luck to be remotely considered a better Q.B. than Manning and that is to win more super bowls. I don't think he'll ever match Peyton's stats, but personally, thats something I can live with, so long as Luck can bring us more than one Super Bowl. Thoughts?

Peyton is probably the best QB ever, so I don't even want to compare Luck to him. I'm just hoping Luck will be a Top 5 QB in the league in 3-5 years. Anything more would be just icing on the cake.

While I don't think the Colts will beat the Bears Week 1, I can certainly see a way that it could happen.

1) The Bears O-line is pretty weak. Freeney and Mathis could wreck havoc like they did to Big Ben and the Steelers Week 2 last year (and the offense should obviously be better than it was then).

2) How quickly will the Bears offense get up to speed with guys like Marshall and Jeffrey coming into the fold, along with a new offensive system? If the Bears offense isn't running on all cylinders and Cutler's dealing with heavy pressure, that could be huge for the Colts.

3) Luck will need to manage the offense well, get into manageable 3rd downs, and execute. The Bears have been terrific against the run, so it will be really important to be efficient in the short passing game. If he can get them to a conversion rate around 40% on 3rd downs, I like the team's chances.
