  1. The only real criticism I have is that I believe Grigs freaked when he missed Kruger, which he probably wasn't expecting, and that's when we overpaid Walden. He didn't want to go 0-2, so he did what he thought it took to make sure that didn't happen. Could Walden play up to the contract? It's possible, it just requires you to project him to be twice the player he was in GB. Practically every other FA signing has been for reasonable prices, showing it's a buyer's market. There's no need to overpay for Walden.

That said, Grigson's a very promising GM and he's got my full support. There will still be some growing pains just like every other guy on our team that's new to their NFL role. Acknowledging that mistake doesn't equal bashing, because no GM hits on 100% of his moves. Overall, he's handled FA very well and I feel like we're a markedly better team by how he's handled it.

I think its funny that you think Grigs freaked out. Does Grigs appear to be a man that "freaks out" to you?

  2. He actually started 3 games last yr. San Fran is loaded with defensive talent and DE's and NT's(both positions he played) do not rack up stats. I am so sick of the negative nellie's posting nothing but negative remarks constantly. Nobody has claimed that RJF was the answer to all our problems. He's a nice piece to the puzzle and an upgrade to what we have now.

When I say started - I mean, he actually beat out someone to start the game - not to replace an injury. Whats the difference between him and the other DL that we currently have. Now if you were to tell me that we were signing Glenn Dorsey, then I would get excited. (I know GD signed with 9ers)

  3. Like I've said before, I like RJF, but I don't see why everyone thinks he's the answer to all our problems.

I agree 100% - what has he done?  He didnt start ever for San Fran, played 2 snaps in Superbowl, was let go after making only $616,000. If he was serviceable the 9ers would have offered him a little skin to stay. We have 3 other players just like him. He is not a difference maker. Last time he was noticed in a game, was the 2007 LSU championship game.

  4. You're not allowed to give them play books yet. Stop posting threads about this! Multiple threads about this already!! They wont and shouldn't sign him yet, there's no benefit!

They can give anyone a playbook. Its a book with paper. Colts could give it to the Patriots if they wanted. They NFL doesnt control it.

  5. I disagree ... yes most QBs can heave the ball randomly 70+ yards; but how accurate are they ... I think Luck was trying to demonstrate not only his arm strength, but that he also had "accurate arm strength" by hitting a receiver on a route rather than just heaving it hail mary style. I think he effectively put to rest any questions concerning his arm strength.

You guys need to to go to youtube and watch all the NFL QB Challenges and then come back on here and say how many can throw it 60 yards let along 70+. Just watched one where the best was 66 yards by big ben, Most were in the 50's with several in low 50's.
