Also in that eli / Rivers business I think they got LT out of it too in that draft with the extra picks
That was the Michael Vick deal...

Wow, here we are again.... *sigh*... this subject comes up almost every year and it still a somewhat sore subject here in San Diego. What all of you are saying regarding the situation back then is true. Brees was an unknown factor with a shoulder injury that was pretty severe. Rivers was riding the bench but quite capable to step in and run the offense. Brees was given the opportunity to go with another team and the rest, as they say, is history. As a Charger fan, my bigger complaint has to do with guys like Michael Turner and Darren Sproles. Again, however, the situations there were pretty much up in the air. My team has let a number of quality players leave with little, to nothing in return. Hindsight is always 20/20, but these guys get paid big bucks for anticipating things like these. We have let too many just slip through our fingers.

The Bolts, sadly, continue to beat themselves. They have continually stepped all over their own jock all season long. Our defense could not get any pressure on Sanchez, but when they managed to hurry him, he did nothing. Like any decent QB, given time, Sanchez does okay. My Bolts just couldn't get out of their own way in the second half and played stupid. It is a sad day down here in San Diego.

i wanna see the pats lift the trophy every year, i don't care what stadium they're in.
I can relate to this. I feel the same way about my own team, except we've never been able to get it done. The Pats, on the other hand, have done it repeatedly. You can't argue with success. I hate losing to the Pats, but that doesn't diminish my respect for their team. I just continue to be hopeful that we can put the pieces together in order to be better. A tall order, but not impossible. Until then, in order to be the best, we must be able to beat the best. For now, that means beating teams like the Pats. Maybe, this is the year.

Patriots - No explanation necessary.
Jets - Their fans are insufferable for a team that hasn't won squat in forever.
Chargers - Philip Rivers.
I'm really beginning to feel the love here....
Personally, I would LOVE to see my Bolts playing at the Lucas Oil Stadium for the Super Bowl. But I am a little bias.

Looks like there will be some re-calculating going on after watching Brady shred the Fins last night. The Pats' O-line gave him sooo much time and he was hitting all his receivers in stride. I don't think Brady even got his jersey dirty...... that should change next week. If not, our secondary could be in for a long day.

Bob looked great in the opener today. He was constantly in on the play - don't know his stats, but he played well.
He did. Spikes looked great, too! Hopefully the Defense will be able to cause Brady some headaches next week.

That's exactly how it feels to see LT in a green uniform, yuck!!!!
I'm enjoying watching Bob play and inspire the guys around him. When healthy he's amazing.
I know exactly how you feel..... *sigh* To see LT in a Jets jersey makes me want to retch. I still wear my #21 jersey, he'll always be a Charger in my mind.

Call it luck, Tebow magic, or whatever, these guys believe they can win. It sickens me to see the Broncos win any games, but you have to give them credit. They've done it for a number of weeks now. Sooner or later we have to admit that the guy is a difference maker. It just seems that they are never out of it and that is when they come back in the fourth quarter, or OT, for the win. As a Charger fan, it drives me nuts. But the Bolts have done nothing but shoot themselves in the foot all season long and have no one but themselves to blame for their current dilemma. If nothing else, Tebow makes it exciting. I wish him luck.
