And ya...looking at the numbers they are about the same.

    Regular Season:

    65.5% completion

    2.2 TD/Int

    7.69 ypa

    11.7 ypc

    270.6 ypg

    97.2 rating

    Post season:

    64.34% completion

    1.5 TD/Int

    7.41 ypa

    11.5 ypc

    286.4 ypg

    86.8 rating

All those numbers are nearly identical, the only thing different is the TD/Int ratio which affects the passer rating.  Completion percentage is only 1%, yards per attempt are nearly the same, yards per completion nearly the same and his yards per game is actually higher.  The number difference is so negligible that to say he is a drastically different player or worse in the playoffs is laughable.  Heck, i remember an article being posted here by a new england reporter who says the same thing.  Manning is virtually no different in the playoffs than he is in regular season.

In all fairness most games in the playoffs he was just awful, there are a couple of really good games in there that skew the stats

I thought this would be a pretty good draft for us. Website thought different

  4. Ok that's great in theory.  However, the problem is that in the past several years, there have not been, to my knowledge, all that many college experienced 3-4 OLB's that are pro ready.  The only guy that I can think of in recent past that played 3-4 OLB in college that was drafted in the first round to play for a 3-4 team in the pro's was Jarvis Jones last year.

    Notable 3-4 OLB's that were 4-3 DE's in college:

    Aldon Smith

    Anthony Spencer

    Demarcus Ware

    Terrell Suggs

    Tamba Hali

Lamar Woodley ("played predominantly at DE")

    Paul Kruger

    Ryan Kerrigan

    Jason Worilds

I'm just gonna stop there, but seriously people really need to stop making such a big deal about how we "need to draft experienced OLB's".  The truth is, as far as I can tell, there are very few 3-4 college teams that regularly pump out top OLB prospects.

I would add our own Robert Mathis to that list

  6. Why anybody on this board would feel comfortable appointing him the starter is beyond me.

We've barely seen the guy play in the NFL. Holmes didn't take over last year even after Satele performed so poorly that you could argue he's the worst starting center in the NFL.  Why is that? I don't know, but it sure doesn't make me excited about the prospect of Holmes starting.

Either the coaches were seriously holding out on us last year or the guy sucks.

I think the coaches were giving Satele every chance possible. If not then why not start McGlynn at C last year

  7. Luck (obviously), Hasselbeck

    Ballard, Carter, Williams, Havili, Brown

    Allen, Fleener, Cunningham, Saunders

    Wayne, DHB, Hilton, Brazill, Palmer

    Castonzo, Linkenbach, Cherilus

    Satele, Holmes

    Thornton, Reitz, Anderson, Griffin

Sorry if I botched someone's name.  Let do this again with the Defense!

    No Donald Thomas??
