  1. I agree trade down with cleveland and take Claiborne then with the twenty-second pick, assuming hes still there,Mark barron . You will also have the 33rd overall and could get someone who just barely slipped ou of the first round who will be a difference maker primarily Nick toon. Nxt year will be the year you draft Qb with the Browns first rounder next season. this helps rebuild and shed some money off the payroll as you wont need to resign Wayne by adding Toon

  3. its about time the colts get a productive DT he may have health concerns but his comments make me think otherwise im glad that the colts address this issue with Nevis and Harris because when we had Booger we won a championship

  4. If the colts are serious about signing a WR i think they should look at Jericho Cotchery. He has been pretty consistant most of his career and we could probably sign him for a 1 year 1.2 million dollar deal

  5. I don't think it frees up anyone worth value. Who would Sims free up? Brackett? He's older and has a limited appeal to Tampa 2 teams. Angerer? Possibly, but I don't know that teams would gamble on him yet . Wheeler? He has little trade value.

Anderson could free up either someone inside or outside. Freeney is a definite no. Possibly Mathis, but that'd rely more on Hughes making the right progress than a bust of a first rounder. Outside of Moala, there is little to no value to trade on the inside, and I don't think the Colts will trade away the first DT to show any real sign of playmaking material they've had in a while.

only way Id trade Mathis is if we traded him to the Gmen along with a 4th rounder for Osi Umenyiora otherwise id want to keep him

  6. Yeah, I'm really hoping he returns to his old form. Things will be interesting to watch at camp this year.

If you ask me, he has the potential to be one of the best corners in the league. He is an excellent player and if he can stay healthy, Pro Bowl is not out of the question. I could see him being one of the top corners in the NFL.

I agree Jerraud Powers is one of the most exciting players on the Colts Defense I hope he stays healthy as the defense really seems to play better when hes on the field

  7. You know what Jskinz, you're absolutely right. The Colts definitely didn't make a bad signing in regards to Hank Baskett. They made a necessary signing, as you suggested. He didn't end up contributing much, and he made one enormously huge mistake at a very crucial time, but that's wasn't the Colts' fault. It was his fault. I guess I'm saying that Baskett sucks and is a choke artist, and he played his part in us losing the Super Bowl, but there was no way for the Colts to know that would happen. They made a reasonable, informed decision when they signed him, and it just didn't work out. I'd still * slap him and consider kicking him in the sack, but I wouldn't want to do that to the Colts' management for signing him.

You guys realize the key play that truely changed that game was Garcon's drop at the end of the half if he had made the wide open catch for the easy TD i dont think the Saints wouldve tried the onside kick...How about when Taj Smith ran into the punter against the Jets that complety lost the game or when Ben roethlisberger tackled Cato June to save the game basically what im saying is the Colts have had so many unfortunate plays that have cost them the games but to blame a bad signing when you desperatly needed one is just silly

  8. its going to cost to much for Samuel as good as he is the Eagles asking price is going to be to high

I think the Colts should make a play for Osi Umenyiora though I think a 2nd rounder and Mathis would be worth doing as Mathis is a FA next season atleast get something good for him while his stock his high and he will want to much money(not the Osi wont)

  9. IMO i think c.rogers would be a better fit for out D

I couldnt agree more he opposite Powers with Whitner and Bethea behind them thats the best coverage the Colrs have had in a while also id love to see them bring in Madison Hedgecock I think it would be great to see the Colts use a FB to help boost the running game, by adding Hedhecock you give Addai a rest and give a blocking RB for Manning when D Brown is in

  10. i really hope we bring in Whitner and Rogers I think both these guys with help our pass coverage a lot. This defense rarely every sees a lot of big plays aside from Bethea we dont really have a guy who can retrn one back now that Hayden is gone I think rogers could be that guy
