Lt contanzo 6'7" 311
Lg retiz 6'7" 320 or meclendon 6'3" 323
C Saturday 6'3" 295
Rg deim 6'6" 320
Ijalana 6'4" 317
Big heavy line
this is what it should be I think this is the best 5 and deim started as a guard. would still love to see meclendon at the other G spot with his power especially for the running plays

I have not watch a preseason game but it seems to me from what i'm hearing why don't they stop the contest for LG between maclendon and reizt and try both of them as starting G's
so the line would look like this: AC--Ritz--saturday---maclendon--Deim or rookie 2nd round pick
have they even try letting both of those G's be the two starters?

I voted 2006 because I think it's madness to make any claims only 2 preseason games in. Think about it, our defense hasn't even played for a full half of a game yet, combined. Week 3 pre will provide us a better view of how they're coming together.
not trying to be mean but; this makes no sense to me "our D hasn't played for a full half..." Well you know mo one else D has play any more--all teams had to deal with the lockout. however, when these teams play against the colts first O they only allow one first down for the first half of the ggame. yet, our D gives up almost 300 yds in the first half.
there is something wrong in the coaching staff i believe more so than the players
just my 2 cents

Evidently Joe Ritz is a pretty athletic guy played basketball, i didnt know he was so big either. Hopefully he's good in the run as well, maybe they should take pollack out and put mclendon there.
this seems like a no brainer. at least try to combo of AC Reiz, mclendon, saturday and deim/rook "I"

A) Drake Nevis did look good. Very impressed for his first game out. B) The announcers said about 20 times before the game not to expect a very diverse play selection on either side of the ball. Its pointless to do that if you don't have your 11 starters out there at once. C) I thought Darren Evans ran well, made some nice plays on special teams, and was solid in pass protection. Since the kickoffs are pretty much washed now, I don't see a reason for Spann to stay over Evans. But we will have to see the final 3 weeks play out I guess.
who were the starters for the Oline? and about RG what do ya'l think if the loser of the LG battle move over to RG. and No it's not that big a difference to change sides it's not like RT to LT

well let me tell you something preseason
is not about the winner its about finding out who can play getting young guys some live action that whats its about
I'm not watching the game. could someone tell me how the Oline looks. we did have a first team in together didn't we? and who started on the D line? I did not see AJ TH RM or DF mentioned anywhere did they play at all?
-
it seems the D was great in practice against our Oline but same old D against a team that has any O line than ours
How will the new Oline ever get any time to play together in these preseason games if the D can't get off the field? i'm so sick of this every year. why can't someone fix it???

You're one of the few who like Jamie Thomas as much as I do. He's a powerful man. I was truly shocked when he wasn't moved into the starting lineup last year. I watched every snap of last years preseason in slo-mo, position by position and he was the best guard of the group in my eyes. I can't figure it out!
I also agree that Gonzo needs to earn a spot in the rotation over the course of a full season. Finally, I'd be irked if JA got tossed after spending the last 3 years running behind crap.
yes i would really like to see those two at the G position. in the near future i think that McClento also plays C so C johnson could play RT and put Injama at G with Thomas this would have some size power and skilled players at the position.
-
yes Zebra3 i think they will be an improvement over last years less than 2 seconds. i think we need to start them early because they are the future. we have the best 2 de's in the nfl so they will get a taste of what their up against should know from pratice with these 2 if they can keep PM upright

no way!! why do u ask is his contract up or something?

here is what i would like to see as the starting O for the colts this year
OL:Castonzo,McClenton, Saturday,Jaimie Thomas and Ijalana---C Johson the top backup for all positions except C
WR: Garcon, Wayne, Collie in slot when going to 3 wr set
TE: Clark and Eldridge in 2 te sets
RB: Addai we do need to sign him with Delone short yardage and Brown change of pace
QB: #18
my big changes were in the O line. I just don't have confidence in diem whom i think should be let go and pollak and devan or good backups but no more. PM needs more time to throw and the runners need to have some holes to run through. although we had some good games rushing last year it was only because the D was set to stop the pass. in reality those games should have had more rushing yards in them.
thoughts and opinions please

I think the receivers will be find but the O line will take a little time to get going. I would like to see the two rookies starting on the line along with Mac. and that G we drafted last year J Thomas this will add size and strength all around along with our blocking TE and a hard runner in the rookie running back should be a great O this year
