PM will not travel, or drive, etc for likely several weeks. Would be surprised big time if he is on the sideline or booth for several weeks. Recall the recent surgery. Everyone while loving bob last year, were calling for his dismissal, just as they are this year for Gonzo, so blaming the FO for mis managing the cap and thats why we had to get rid of him is a joke. He played one game this year and all of the sudden the Charger are SB bound? Dont get me wrong, huge Bob fan, but they have a pretty good team without him. Without the injuries, would have been well worth the cost. They recognized the talent and kept him around as long as possible, just as they are with Gonzo, but reached a point we could not take a five million dollar gamble.

expectations from us fans over the last 10 yrs is we always find a way. The first half was the worst half of ball I think I have ever seen. Beat in every aspect - offense, defense, special teams (and I was thinking before the return special teams has not blown up yet), AV missed a semi chip shot and COACHING and PREPARATION. Like we expected them to run up the gut and stay in pocket to pass. Misdirection killed us. Second half, some positive to build off of, O started to gel a little. Right side of O line needs help and putting Clark on Mario is a sack every time. It has only been a couple of weeks w/ Collins, most likely only has a handful of plays memorized. Not blaming Polian or anyone else, 9 yrs straight to the playoffs, one of the most prolific offenses ever means something, no one could replace PM. You could bring Rodgers or Brady in and would struggle with only two weeks. As they said, Collins had to call the whole play name, PM had it down to a couple key words. Disappointed in the D, which has nothing to do with PM. Secondary may make every QB a superstar. I dont think we win with PM today the way everything else went. Still keeping some hope everyone can continue to gel. Just one bad game which should not be a surprise. Just one game of 16. Look at how bad the Chiefs (playoffs), Steelers (SB), Falcons (SB pick by many) all lost big time. Any given Sunday.

Day off today, watching the experts on ESPN. 6 or 7 win team this year. Manning not even top 5 QB, regardless of health. (they had Rothlisbereger, Rogers, Rivers, Brady, and Brees) Texans win division (same as last 4 yrs). No team has any fear when we get off the bus, etc. Outside PM, rest of team is junk. Granted in general as PM goes, we go, but we do have some other play makers and have to have players to throw to. That said, couple also said the Pats were a 7-8 win team this year, Brady is breaking down, etc. SB already conceded to the Chargers/Jets and Pack /Falcons. We may struggle early, but would love to us at at 8-0 and everyone breaking their legs getting on the wagon.

Brown needs to go, Hughes finally showed something against 2nd and 3rd stringers, Taj had good game, concerned about pass D, run D looked better, hope it holds up. Wheeler had good pre season. Nevis needs to start.

Just a guess, but Look for a 5 yr deal minimum, if not over lapse into retirement. Mannings replacement barring injury is still in high school. As far as what he gets, deserves all of it. Without Manning, the colts are probably gone, there is no LOS, no superbowl, no JW Marriot, no booming business downtown on Sunday home games, NCCA headquarters possibly in attachment with LOS and final four, etc. Manning and previously Reggie have brought millions more than their salaires in revenue to the city/state and rebuilt downtown.

Would say we are a .500 team w/out manning. Addais receiving and blocking make him valuable as well as his running. At the 5 yd line, the guy has an ability to get in. If your going to be a RB on this team, better know how to block and protect #18.

Good signing. At BSU he could throw and run, had a terrible bowl game in part due to the flu. If he still has the form, should be able to beat out Painter for #2 with what he showed in the few games played. Heard some teams were concerned of a LD he had and ability to handle an NFL playbook, not sure if that is true or not though, but that coupled with the bad bowl game caused him to drop in the draft. Projected possible late 1st round prior to the bowl game disaster. Falco anyone?

Replacement comes out of IU in 3-4 yrs? Agree many tough decision to be made, but did I miss where PM retired or declared unfit to ever play again. The timing of this just sucks. There are some 40 players in the NFL with the same procedure, or at least according to TV which is always right...including Hayden last Feb. If the FO just listened to fans, we would have taken Leaf over PM. Granted dont think Luck is a head case, but end of the day, there are no guarantees anyone can make it the next level. Brady was a 12th rounder, Arian foster UDFA(I think) as was Brackett. Dont need to be a number one to have success. Media hype is no guarantee of success. Look at all the HT winners that have flopped
