  1. Don't forget that just two years ago Doug Peterson was the last coach hired (out of 7 openings) and wasn't the Eagles' first choice- a supposed up-and-coming young offensive coordinator by the name of Ben McAdoo was (some of the similarities are clear, if not striking).  Fortunately for the Eagles the Giants promoted him to head coach because Jerry Reese didn't want to see him end up in Philly.

He just seems like a very boring hire to me.

I wouldn't consider Reich an offensive genius by any means.  It's Petersons offense in Philadelphia.

And just based on his stoic appearance and demeanor , he doesn't strike me as having the strong "leader of men" qualities either.

I'd rather Toub, DeFilippo, or someone else at this point.

He does have a stoic appearance and demeanor but many great head coaches have, including Dungy (who was, at minimum, a "good" head coach, not just in Indy but in Tampa Bay too).  That measured, equanimous approach isn't a bad thing at all- a Rex Ryan-like hothead doesn't exactly instill either confidence or discipline.

Reich is a great man, which is important (and seemingly more than you can say for McDaniels), and as importantly he's demonstrated himself to be a quality QB coach and coordinator.  Even as a long-time Bills' backup he's also shown himself to be a natural leader of men.

Ballard is right- it isn't about getting it done quickly but plainly "getting it right."

Well, Thomas only had 8 targets the entire game, and caught 5 of them.  For 69 yards.

PFF grades him out at a 59.6 ("poor"), putting him as the #85-best CB in the NFL.

You're welcome to fact-check my facts.  Have a good one.

Wilson's PFF grade is higher than 59.6- it's actually 75.1, placing him 61st out of 120 qualifying CB's (and it was higher than 59.6 coming into yesterday; it was 71).  He's clearly had some VERY down moments this season, the Broncos' game in particular plus his over-sized ego (theorizing) which was angering the coaching staff, not to mention alienating him, and made them make him him a healthy scratch for the better part of two months.  But when he's played he's demonstrated hopefulness for 2018.  His coverage has been mixed (really good yesterday) and his tackling has been consistently strong.

Others can say that they weren't targeting him yesterday but that's a CB's job and that reflects well on him.  And many times I saw  Flacco look in his direction at the start of a play and quickly turn his head elsewhere and target someone else.
