So many on this site think there genius of course its all fine & dandy to have an opinion we all have one .

Actually I'm just a Bricklayer not Colts GM & my opinion carries no weight & my job is'nt in evaluating NFL Coaches or players I leave that to the professionals .

So our opinions right or wrong are forgivable because we are mere mortals nothing more .

Couldn't agree with you more.  You have an opinion and I have an opinion.  They happen to be different but neither of us are experts and only time will determine who is right.

been a fan a long time rookie I'm not a genius such as your self I believe I'll give the New Colts Head Coach time to do something before I form an intelligent opinion on whether or not he's a loser .

IMO he is 1 of 32 in the World hardly a Loser .

At this point all Colts fans should be excited since 1984 our Cardiac Colts have taken us on one hell of a ride its not always looked pretty but us HOMERS have drank the Kool - Aid If you can't feel the optimism it says more about you who's goggles are cutting off circulation to the BRAIN ??

To that I say dude your paddeling with 1 oar if you think you can some how  look into your crystal ball & see the future :spit: , Take a seat grab some popcorn & get over your self .

I know I might just be a rookie on this site but I’ve been a colts fan for 20 years.  I don’t like where the Colts are right now. I’m allowed to have that opinion as a fan. I’m not going to blindly drink the kool aid and say everything is amazing when it’s not. I hope I am wrong, I hope Reich turns into the next hall of fame coach but I’m not going to just lie and pretend it’s the best hire ever when I don’t feel that way.  The sad truth is one of us is going to be right, one of us is going to be wrong and only time will tell.

Best loser?  A guy with a Super Bowl ring who has worked with some of the best QBs in the league is a loser?  What about the guy who doesn't have any integrity to keep his word?  I'd say we avoided a loser with McDaniels and got a guy with integrity in Reich.

He’s been dismissed or fired from multiple organizations in his time in the NFL. He didn’t even call the plays in Philadelphia and yeah I think he isn’t going to be successful in Indianapolis.  I don’t see why you bring up a snake like McDaniels.  Just because he’s a winner with no integrity doesn’t make me feel any better about going with a loser who has integrity.  They are both pretty awful options.  Do you disagree?  Do you think Reich is going to return the Colts to greatness?  If so then say so and if not are you just upset that I’m not a delusional fanboy that just falls in line? I don’t think the Colts will be a successful team under Reich. That is my opinion. I hope I am wrong but only time will tell.

  4. I’m glad it seems like they have decided on the best loser of the bunch. Not excited and expectations are low. If you seriously think Reich is going to be the one to turn this team around and make them great again I feel that your homer goggles are probably cutting off circulation to your brain.

Now just why would either one of us feel dumb? What you have to keep in mind we are just fans. We have no control over what goes on with any part of the team. Opinions are just opinions and are not facts. There are way too many variables to anticipate if a team can be good or bad. That's the NFL. Bottom teams can be top teams in as little as one season. The Colts have proved that. We went from 2-14 to 11-5 in one season. That was with a rookie head coach. To say ahead of time the Colts are going to be losers next season is way too pre mature no matter who the head coach is.

That's just my point though.  I don't believe as you do that it's too early to say this is a complete disaster and the team are losers. You are saying it is too early.  One of us is going to be right in about 10 months and one is going to be wrong. I hope I am wrong but my opinion is the Colts are a dumpster fire that's going to be revealed for what they are next season.

Dude, I have been a Colts fan since right before Robert Irsay traded for the team. What the Colts are going through right now is nothing.

How you can say Reich is a loser before he has a chance is pretty narrow minded of you. 'The head coaches job is to be a leader. He don't have to be a wizard at offense or defense. That is what the coordinators jobs are. He just oversees everyone under Ballard.

All you bring is negativity. The NFL is by design to have teams move up and down and teams do it every year.

I appreciate your input and respect your longevity.  Like I said I hope I am wrong but I look at these candidates and see losers and I don’t see any of them as the coach that’s going to make the Colts great again.  Only time will tell.  In about 10 months from now one of us is going to be looking back here and feeling pretty dumb and I hope it’s me.

Reich just helped his team win a Super Bowl. How is he a loser?

He was merely along for the ride, he’s failed everywhere else he’s been at. He doesn’t even call the plays in Philadelphia. Most importantly though you’ll find out next year, if he’s hired, how much of a loser he is.  There are no good candidates and the Colts are going to have another string of loser years.  Hope I am wrong but mark my words the Colts will have a different coach then the one they are about to hire the next time they make the playoffs.  It’s an awful time to be a Colts fan.

  8. I don’t know about Peyton Manning honestly as a coach but if the best you can do is Frazier, Reich and Campbell it’s not a good time to be a colts fan.  If you can honestly say any of them get you excited I think your lying to yourself. The best you can say about any of them is that they might be head coaching material. Seriously if anyone wants to make a serious argument that any of these three losers are going to make a great head coach I’d love to hear it.

Well, as somebody who said they don't really want Campbell, it's not "just because."

That said, he's not a bad option and I could get behind him. I just worry about running into the same problems we had under Pagano.

Of course we are going to run into the same problems we had with Pagano.  Whatever bottom of the barrel, third pick, loser coach we bring in is going to cause us the same problems as Pagano.  I don't see this clown being any better or worse than Reich.

No one is forcing you to be a Colts fan.

This is America, you're free to root for any team you like.

I live in California.   I have FOUR teams I could root for, including two in my hometown of Los Angeles.   But I choose to cheer for the Colts.

There are 31 other teams for you to support.    To be clear I am NOT telling you to leave.   I'm just reminding you that if you're this unhappy, this miserable,  that you have choices.

    Choose wisely....

Yes, but the Colts were the first team I was a fan of.  It's upsetting to see just how far they have fallen, what a dumpster fire they have turned into and continue to be.  I don't think I am ever going to be able to not be a fan.  It's why it upsets me so much when I see an organization that I love, that I have been a fan of since I was 6 years old, do this to themselves.  Yes, there are other teams I follow and cheer for but I think at heart I'll always be a Colt.  If there was a way for me not to care about the team then I wouldn't.

Really? The situation isn't nearly that bad. There are still potential coaches just as good as the ones that were taken ... were you really that psyched for Vrabel, Nagy, etc ... ? (I wasn't)  McDaniels was my first choice .. .with him off the table I feel like there are still plenty of choices I would prefer to Vrabel or Nagy.

I also believe that whoever they choose as head coach will be able to replace any of the coordinators that were already hired; Irsay will either eat the contract or give them other positions within the organization.

This is definitely not a good situation, but it is not the end of the world.

Who do you think those potential coaches are, please give me a name I can feel even slightly optimistic about.  I can't think of any which is why I am upset, why I am disappointed.  All the most likely candidates simply make me want to give up on Colts football for a while.

  12. Just now, crazycolt1 said:

If that is the case why are you even here?  Just to whine?  Look, I have faith in Irsay and Ballard. We didn't get the guy we thought we would. So what? Move on and get the next man up. We have the 3 rd pick in the draft and a good amount of cap space.  It's not all doom and gloom.

The third round pick means nothing if we don't have a quality coach and none of the likely candidates are anywhere near a good coach  I came here to be with other fans of a team I used to love.  To perhaps feel better about a team I used to love becoming a dumpster fire.  To commiserate with one another and  in doing so maybe not be as upset.  I read the rules thoroughly before posting and there is no rule that says you have to be all rainbows and sunshine.  If you want to be all rainbows and sunshine about this then go right ahead, you have that right just as I have every right to vent and say how poorly this whole situation was handled and be upset that now we are stuck with some loser of a coach.

Well, that's one way to look at it I guess.  But do we have anymore proof JMD will be a good HC anymore than any of these "losers"?  No we don't.  Not yet anyway.  In fact we have more proof that he won't than he will.  Great OC?  Sure.  Great HC?  Not a shred of proof.  And I hope this guy falls flat on his fat face.  What he did not only to the Colts, but the other guys he brought in who will no doubt feel awkward here now, is sickening.  I hope the next "loser" coach comes in a goes 11-5.

You can hope that all you want and so do I but I think you and I both know that's not going to happen.

  14. 4 minutes ago, AZColt11 said:

I think when I drill down into why I'm a little disappointed is that I wanted to see Luck get to work with a great offensive mind in a QB-friendly system.  I was basically viewing him as our OC who happened to be the HC.  But was he REALLY going to work out as the HC?  Do we have anymore proof that he will be a great HC than we do that he won't?  Sure, he could end up being the next Belichick.  Of course he could also become the next Josh McDaniels.

So we won't get to see Luck in his system.  That's the only thing bugging me.  But we may very well find a better HC.

Just curious but who do you think this loser candidate will be?  We are literally picking from the bottom of the barrel, among the leftovers that no other team wanted.  Whoever comes in will not only be a bottom feeding loser passed over by all other teams but will be coming in knowing that they weren't a first or even second choice.  They might even be saddled with coordinators that they had no say in picking.  So I am just curious who you think it could possibly be Toub, Reich, Caldwell, Del Rio who's your Colts third pick loser candidate?

  15. Not excited about a loser who has never been a head coach, who has been dismissed or fired from three separate organizations in the last 7 years.  If he is the pick I don't expect him to succeed and definitely won't be watching next season.  There really are no good options though so whatever it's not like he is any worse than Toub or any other loser they might bring in. Ballard sure screwed this one up, that's for sure.

  16. I really hope they don't have jobs.  Saddling a coach that already knows he wasn't your first pick with all of this baggage and coordinators that they don't want or whose styles probably don't mesh would mean the Colts are an even bigger dumpster fire than I believed.  I used to make plans around Colts games and never miss one and next year I am probably not even going to watch.  I just can't stand to watch a team I love reduced to this pile of trash.

I think I told you that I did not like McDaniels. I also did not want him or Patricia coming to NY (Giants), as I would have to hear them interviewed.

I like Reich. Much better fit than ex-Pat.

Reich doesn't even call the plays.  What makes you think he can be a head coach?
