  1. From my point of view this is pure self indulgent crappola.  Chuck did not always manage time well in key situations.  He had too many players on the field in key situations.  He had players committing stupid mental errors in too many situations.  The Offensive Coordinator was so predictable that my 8 year old grandson was calling about 85% of the plays right before they ran.  NO IMAGINATION from the OC post at all.  However you can't really blame the bad season on the coach.  This is a poorly constructed team that is way top heavy in QB costs to be able to really hire the right people.   Nuff said.

  2. Well, If you agree your QB can't perform behind a mediocre OL and the problem with hiring an outstanding OL is that the QB controls too much of salary cap, then why not attack the problem that is the elephant in the room.  Trade your QB and use the residual $ to hire an outstanding OL.  IF you really believe the OL determines the performance of the QB and running backs, then hire an affordable QB that can be developed like Dallas did and move along.  I know I know probably nobody wants to loose Luck but as it stands he can't deliver so what use is he?  Nadda!  Time to take the bull by the horns and realize that $ rule and Luck costs so much you can't afford an outstanding OL and so it's time for him to depart.  I prefer the "TEAM" concept that requires balance but with an emphasis on where the play actually takes place in the OL and Defensive Secondary and LB Corp.
Luck is going to hamstring the spending cap for any team that hires him, so let someone else have the burden.  We're not winning with him so lets win without him.

  3. My ideas probably won't meet with a lot of approval, but I'll leave the thought anyway.  We have an outstanding QB but without a really awesome OL the QB is pretty much ineffectual as this season proved.  You can have the greatest QB that ever lived and if he doesn't have time to pass; it matters not.  AND THAT IS THE CRUX OF WHAT i'M SAYING.  LUCK DOESN'T MATTER!  We would be way better off with an average QB behind an outstanding OL.  Toss in a couple of decent running backs, keep your receivers, and now you have a competitive "FOOTBALL TEAM".  The Colts need to take a lesson from Dallas if you will.  A great OL an average QB with some good receivers and some talent at Running Back.  You have that formula you have a "GREAT TEAM" a "WINNING TEAM"  or you can have an overpaid QB that prohibits you ever developing an outstanding OL because he costs too much.  DUMP LUCK, Hire a Line that matters with the $ now available, and you're on your way to the SB.  The coaching blunders were many, but our problems aren't really on the sideline.  They are on the field.  Trade Luck, tell Grigson to hire a great OL or else and lets get on with it.  The defense needs improvement but its not the cost factor that Luck represents.  He'll never be an outstanding QB in Indianapolis and maybe not anywhere else because he simply costs too much for what he can deliver.
