  1. I have never ever posted against our Coaches however after today's botch of game management near the end I personally need an explanation.

Y in the fire pit would you run the ball up 7, in field goal range with a minute fifty left...

It should've been take knee all the way and kick field goal. NO WAY Ravens will ever score 10 points in a minute thirty... EVER

This bonehead decision could've cost us the game and somebody needs some Splainin' to do

You sir sound like an ideal NFL head coaching candidate, and I would like to subscribe to your Newsletter.

    Keep up the quality posting!

  2. Just to make clear, i have nothing against inutiating rookies by carrying veterans pads, i think that is a small sacrifice rookies can do to show respect for their elders :)

And having to sing caraoce is the kind of thing vets can enjoy a show and have a few laughs..

But ruining someones look seems just stupid to me, not fun.. but i guess it's just me

Show me on the doll where the mean barber touched you.

  3. whats sad to me is that several people don't give credit to the Colts for beating the Broncos. They say that The Broncos and the Refs lost the game more than the Colts won it or that it was won on pure emotion.  The Colts have beat the top 3 teams in the NFL yet don't seam to get the credit they deserve, it's just frustrating to me!

Don't even get me started on Polian's comments regarding the Colts on the power rankings on ESPN....  smh, smfh

  4. Thanks for the effort. I can't read all this without line breaks so I'm just going to re-quote you here for my sake.

My article I worked tirelessly on!!

The Colts are facing the returning Peyton Manning and the Broncos this week in what is the BIGGEST game the Colts have ever played in, in the regular season.

When the Indianapolis Colts moved over from Baltimore in 1983, they were the laughing stock of the league. They were the bottom feeders trying to fight for just a little respect. This went on for years and years with most seasons ending in disapointment. In 1996, there was a spark of hope for the franchise when the Jim Harbaugh-led Colts made it to the AFC Championship and were a catch away from the Super Bowl. Two years later, the turnaround offcially started.

The Colts had the first pick in the draft and were going use it on a quarterback. The two choices were Tennessee's Peyton Manning and Washington's Ryan Leaf. Both were, at the time, can't miss prospects but with high ceilings. Leaf's was higher but Manning's was safer. The Colts went with Manning, who at the time drew mixed results. His first year was mostly disapointing, but it was obvious the talent was there. His 2nd year he made the biggest turnaround in franchise history. He rose, while Leaf fell. The fans were behind Peyton. With stars like Edgerrin James and Marvin Harrison, Manning was in good hands on offense. The Colts were slowly building into a powerhouse.

A coaching change happened in 2002, where the Colts hired the defensive minded Tony Dungy, and although the playoff struggles continued, it was obvious the mentality was different and something was going to happen soon. In 2004, Manning had what was at the time the greatest season ever statistically. This reassured the fans and the front office that they made the right choice. All he needed was that Super Bowl. Well, in 2006, the Colts made the playoffs but went in struggling on defense. They weren't the odds on favorite to take it home. The Colts played the Chiefs, and won. They went to Baltimore and came away with the ugly win. Then there was New England. New England was the favorite to win the Super Bowl before the playoffs started. This game defined Peyton Manning. After a slow start, the Colts turned it around and had one of the best comebacks in playoff history, thanks in part to the play of Peyton Manning. Manning was a household name at the time, but fans were growing restless with the team and their poor play in the playoffs. They went to Miami the next week and pulled out the win against the Bears to capture their first Super Bowl.

Years of hardship and years of pain were erased after their first Super Bowl win. Manning cemented himself as Indianapolis' son. The Colts continued great success after the Super Bowl going to the playoffs 4 years straight after the win, with another Super Bowl appearance. The Colts were heavily dependent on Peyton, more than any other player in the history of the game. T The offense was built around Peyton. heck, the defense was built around Peyton. The city was dependent on Peyton. You couldn't find a person in central USA that didn't like the guy. Peyton was a true gentlemen and a great competitor (and he still is). So, when he went down in 2011 with his spinal stenosis neck injury, it just killed everyone. The enemies became his fans. The city of Indianapolis was torn, the fans were torn, the team was torn. The Colts went on to have one of their worst seasons in franchise history going 2-14 with one 55 point loss. They just weren't the same.

While Manning was continuing his great career with Indy after the Super Bowl win, there was another budding star waiting in the wings. His name was Andrew Luck. Luck, a houston native was playing high school ball and was one of the top ranked quarterbacks in the nation. In 2008, Luck finished his high school with over 7000 passing yards and 53 touchdowns (in 2 full seasons and part of another). He commited to Stanford, which was a bit of a surprise, but Peyton Manning fans know all too much about surprises. Manning, who many expected to follow his father and go to Ole Miss, shocked many and went to Tennessee. Luck to Stanford didn't shock many, but it was a surprise.

The kid was a quick standout at Stanford, and by his sophomore year, many NFL experts hailed him as the best prospect in football. Had he declared for the draft in 2011, he would have been the first pick, and there is NO doubt about that. He decided to stay, just like Peyton did, and finish his degree in Architectural Design. Luck continued his great play the following season and with the Colts having that 2-14 record, they had the first pick in the draft. Many joked they sucked for Luck. Whether they did or not, they got a guy who was maybe the greatest prospect to ever come out of college. There was no question they were going to pick him right?

Wrong. The Colts were faced with a franchise altering option. Keep Peyton Manning, ride him out until he retires and try and go for another Super Bowl. The downside was the potential of Manning never fully regaining his health and it costed them. For the economics buffs, the oppurtunity cost was Andrew Luck and the future of the franchise. Sure, there was a chance a good quarterback would be there when Manning retires, but guys like Luck come around once a decade... if you're lucky.

They chose the future. They chose Luck. Many expected to regain their old form in at least Year 3 or Year 4. They made the playoffs in Year 1. Manning on the other hand made the playoffs last year and is off to what is being called the greatest start in NFL history. He's averaging nearly 4 touchdowns per game and his team is averaging nearly 44 points. Both are the leaders on their team, both are icons in their city (Manning still in Indy), both are leading their franchises to great records. One career is starting, the other one is closing down.

Both meet Sunday night in what is expected to be one of the greatest matches in Colts history. With all the storylines and hype going into the game, it's the biggest game in Colts regular season history. When you consider all the games the Colts have had in the regular season, having the guy who put them on the map come back for the first time against the kid who succeeded him is perhaps the best storyline for any game ever in terms of Colts history. Not even Brett Favre's return was this big. Manning put the Colts on the map, he, and really he alone (with of course tons of help) made this team in legitimate contenders year in and year out. Without him, as we saw, they are nothing.

The decision was controversial, and many were worried that this game would happen. Well it's happening, but instead, the Colts have a legitimate chance of winning with Luck at the realm. The kid has 9 game winning drives in his 22 regular season games with the Colts. Manning had 7 wins in total during his first 22 games. It's the old hero vs the upstart.

With all Manning stuff aside too, the Colts and the Broncos are two of tthe top 4 teams in the AFC and storyline or not, this should be a great high scoring game. The Broncos can obviously put up points, and the Colts have proven that they can put up points, putting up 34 against the Seahawks (27 against their top ranked defense).

The crowd should be crazy and it's going to be a game that should draw playoff like ratings/numbers. This game is a writer's dream. It's a fan's dream. Colts fans may have been mad they let go Manning; they may be still mad, but it's something that worked out well for everyone.

On Sunday, we'll see which storyline will prevail: will Andrew Luck and the Colts knock off the undefeated Broncos and send the man who built this city back to Denver, or, will Peyton Manning come back to the place he built and knock off the "new" Colts?

Whatever happens, it should be one of the best games of the year and as the titie says, it's the biggest game in regular season Colts history.

  5. From Wikipedia:

New Jersey is a state in the Northeastern and Middle Atlantic regions of the United States. It is bordered on the north and east by the U.S. state of New York, on the southeast and south by the Atlantic Ocean, on the west by Pennsylvania, and on the southwest by Delaware. New Jersey is the fourth-least extensive, but the 11th-most populous and the most densely populated of the 50 United States. New Jersey lies mostly within the sprawling metropolitan areas of New York City and Philadelphia. It is also the third-wealthiest U.S. state by 2011 median household income

  6. Wow! Does he have a big S on his shirt under that jersey?

Neither of those things is going to happen.

    This guy......

I can't tell if your really that big of a pessimist, uber troll or just still bitter that Manning was released.

Luck is our quarterback so if you really are a  Colts fan, (and that is debatable), support him or please

do us all a favor and find another forum to drape your "glass half full" attitude with.

    Have a great day!

  7. Positives 1-Of course Andrew Luck, Luck will prove he is a top five QB this year, without Luck we have no chance of beating anybody.I just hope we don't have to ride Lucks back, like we did Peyton.I think he can improve his pre-play reads, such as understanding and reading the blitz and getting us out of a negative play, with calls at the line, and this will come with more experience. There is no QB in the league I would rather have.He will be a legitimate MVP this season and is probably more important to his team than any player in the league. 2-Reggie Wayne,Mr.reliable is so important to the Colts both on and off the field. Wayne is a true leader in every sense of the word. He is tough as nails and real inspiration to all his teammates and especially the young guys, who can watch Wayne to learn how to become a true pro, 3-DHB-I know he didn't put up big stats, but he made some huge plays yesterday and no drops.I think he will pay bid dividends for the Colts this season. 4-The run defense against the Raiders RB'S.Yes they were terrible at containing Pryor, but McFadden is a good back and they held him in check. 5-Laron Landry,Landry was all over the field and made his presence known with some big hits,if he can stay healthy he will be a force. 6-Antoine Betha,he had a down year last year, because he was trying to do to much, yesterday he played like the Betha of old and is another great leader. This could be the best safety duo in the league. 7-Vic Ballard,he just runs hard on every play,He's not exceptionally fast or quick, but has great vision and never gives up on a play,he is a lot stronger than he is given credit for and just keeps churning and makes something out of nothing.I love his effort and punishing style, once Bradshaw gets up to speed, we will have two physical runners who can close out games in the fourth qtr. The Negatives 1-Pass Blocking,at times it was good at other times it was horrible, with solid protection this offense would be unstoppable.I watch S.F. AND N.E.and can't help but think if Luck had this kind of protection we would be the #1 offense in the NFL.We have a rare player at QB and we have got to protect the franchise.Constanzo was abused all day long. This is the worst I have ever seen him play. The knee must still be bothering him, because I've never seen him play this bad.Hopefully it was just a bag game or a problem with his knee,if not we are in real trouble. We have to have solid play out of our LT,no matter who it is,like I said, hopefully Castanzo just had a bad game, if so I would rather he have it now than later in the season.Mcglynn was his normal lackluster self and Thornton can not start soon enough for me,I don't see how he could be any worse,Here's to hoping he starts soon.Donald Thomas who has looked like our best lineman so far, had a bad game Sunday. Some of his problems were a result of Castanzos poor play, but overall he played poorly.I'm not that worried about Thomas,as I just think he had a bad game.Satele, although not as bad as some games in the past, did not play well at all.I think we will have to live with Satele,as Holmes missed so much time, I just don't see him replacing Satele this season,I think with improved guard play (Thomas and Thornton)he will be better than last season.I would still rather have Shipley, but that ship has sailed.Center is a must upgrade this offeason.Cherilus didn't have a good game either, but I'm not worried about Cherilus as I do feel he is an upgrade, even though he has not shown it so far.The O-line as a whole will get better as they have more time to gel, lets hope it happens sooner than later because Sundays play will not cut it.The Dolphins will present a good test as they do have a good D-line and the Colts will need to get up to speed fast. Overall I believe once Thornton replaces Mcgylnn and the line has more time together, they will start to gel and play better. They will have to play better as I don't see how they could get worse than the were Sunday, another performance like Sunday will not cut it, and I think the fact that we only threw 23 passes Sunday kept it from looking a lot worse, but for the Colts to become the offense we want them to be,we will have to throw more than 23 passes a game and the O-line play will have to be much better. 2-The pass rush, the Colts pass rush was non-existing Sunday,Pryor had all the time in the world to look over the defense, this can not continue.I don't know what the Colts can do to improve, but they have got to do something. It looked like they were laying back to try and keep Pryor from scrambling, but that tactic didn.t work.I'm sure against a pocket passer they will dial up more blitz packages.they seemed afraid to blitz Pryor and at times it looked like they were using Werner as a spy to keep Pryor from scrambling, either way whatever they were trying to accomplish it didn't work. Our lineman were gassed from chasing Pryor all day.Considering the Raiders were without two of their starting lineman, the Cols pass rush is a huge concern. The pass rush was the Colts biggest problem Sunday.Good qb's will pick us apart if we don't improve in this department.Like I said this is a huge concern moving forward. Maybe Cam Johnson, once up to speed can help out,I don't know, but if the pass rush doesn't improve greatly in the upcoming weeks,we will have big problems stopping any team with a decent passing game. 3-Tackling, we missed a lot of tackles yesterday and it kept us from getting off the field on third down. 4-Third down defense was terrible Sunday, the Raiders converted a lot of third and ten or more.We would get them in third and long and then give up the big play on third down.Very frustrating. 5-Bjorn Werner-Werner didn't make a play all day.He gives up on plays and lacked hustle. He bit on the fake every time on the option and gave up big yardage. I know he's a rookie and learning a new position. but that has nothing to do with hustle. After biting on the fake he would just jog after the ballcarrier, no hustle or sense of urgency at all.Hopefully after this is pointed out while watching film, he will speed up his motor and start playing harder.I was really disappointed in his effort. Ovarall just a bad game by the Colts, but hey they got a win and that's what is important. A lot of these things are fixable and lets hope that's what the coaches can do, because another effort like that this week will result in a loss.Lets hope the coaches coach up what they can and the players are motivated to put forth a better effort.I would rather they have their bad game now, than later in the season. With a lot of new faces this team should get better as the season goes on. "GO COLTS"
