  1. I5. Who will be our next DC? IMO I think we should take Jack Del Rio as a DC...The guy played Lb for 11 yrs, then was a Lb coach for Baltimore and also was the DC of the Panthers in 2001, He lead that Defense to be the Second best that season. Or Jeff Fisher as DC, He also has a successful resume when it comes to being a DC.

Fisher should be coming in as our head coach next year. He's not coming back for a DC job. Through out the years in tennesse, those teams were always very well coached and always over achieved.

  2. As much as i enjoyed watching Edge (pre-knee) injury, not sure if he had really done enough or been with the organization long enough to get his jersey retired

7 years with the colts, The colts all-time leading rusher with 9226 yards. Second is Mitchell with 5487. He is 11th all-time in rushing yards..... He had 5 of his 7 1,000 yards seasons after his knee surgery. So not to sure what your talking about.... Not sure what edge you were watching but he should be in the hall when his time comes......

  3. Bye bye Jimmy.... At 0 and 10 and coming off a bye week is the perfect time to have a qb change..... Not on the road against the pats and ravens our two games after this week..... Orlovsky isn't the answer for this team. But for true fans who watch week in and week out it would of given us a reason for hope..... Hope that the management and coaching staff is doing everything they can for us too get a win. And that we will not tolerate this sub par play. I guess that's not the case. Another week of painter and a soft Tampa 2,............ Super

  4. This is true, I love Peyton and hope he comes back for 3 to 4 more years..... But the organization should have been preparing for this already..... Everyone knows the polians dropped the ball, and were never prepared for this situation.... If manning is healthier trade the first overall pick for a Ricky Williams hershal wLker type deal.... We then draft a qb to sit behind manning for a few years... If manning is not healthy we draft luck..... We can't have then both on the team,, it would create a cycus around this team......

  5. Ok, so obviously I believe Manning will be back healthy next year and that the #1 pick the Colts have will be traded to a team that has a top 5 pick as well. I still think Miami is the best team to trade to, although they need to stop winning games! I am pretending the Colts trade the #1 overall pick to Miami for the first and second this year, and their first next year.

Personally, I would like to see the Colts go Justin Blackmon WR Oklahoma State. Bill loves to take skill position players and Reggie isn't getting any younger. With Castonza in place, I don't see the Colts going Kalil. Blackmons big play ability is sorely missed since Marvin had to call it a career. I know secondary is a concern but I don't there are players that grade out this high.

Where I think the secondary will be address is in the second round. The Colts would have the top pick in round 2 plus another top 5 second round pick. So hopefully they can address the secondary here.

Where do you all see the Colts going assuming the trade the Luck pick, which I believe they very much will?

I agree Mannning will be back next year and we should take Blackmon.. Were not gonna resign Wayne so Blackmon can jump right into his spot.

  6. I think the o-line is playing well, we are averaging 4.4 yards a carry 9th best in the nfl. We are giving Painter time to throw the ball, I think he holds the ball way to long. Thats probably because he is having a hard time going through his progressions. But for a majority of the time Painter has a nice pocket to throw from.

  7. our lbs are allowing passes in the middle of the field, and then they make the tackle and lead the nfl in tackles instead of batting the pass down and stopping the gain for first down, poor lbs or system? i dont know. we need to lead in picks and broken up passes instead of tackles for first down yardage

The tampa cover two we play allows those short passes in the middle of the field, I say like many other people it's time for a change on D.......

  8. 1. The o-line is playing better than anyone thought they would. We are averaging 4.4 yards a carry thats tied for 9th in the nfl. We have given up 21 sacks thats about mid pack tied for 14 the least in the league and that number would be down, but painter holds the ball way to long on a few sacks.

    2. Angered, Conner, and even wheeler are doing a good job for three young lbs. Very surprised with wheeler, he looked lost his first two years. Now he actually looks like he can contribute.

    3. Jarrahs powers is actually healthy threw 10 games. By far our best corner who has had injury problems his first two seasons.

    4. Pat Mcafee is turning into one the best punters in the league. He's starting to directional kick which is a lost art in the NFL

    5. Only two other player worth mentioning bethea is having a solid yeAr, but with so many wholes in the secondary it's hard to get any recognition. And Jeff Saturday is quietly having one of the best years of his career...

  9. I think you can also put part of the blame on Peyton. How many games has he been in when the Colts had a huge lead and yet he remained in. Yes the coaches also deserve blame for not pulling Manning, but at some point Peyton should have seen the need to get his backup some in game action when the games were out of hand.

You really think that putting Painter in some of the blow outs we had the last of couple years would of changed anything???? He has had three full pre seasons. Also got plenty of time at the end of the 2009 season ( i know we all remember that). It's not Peytons job to get his back up in game action... And not to sure what painter would of learned handing the ball off, for a drive or two???????????

  10. Addai may be injured, but when healthy he's very good. Although I understand ppl's plea to get rid of him, the Colts are very patient with players like Joe, so I think next year is his make or break year. A big year and he stays, an injury prone one and he's out. Keep in mind, that Joe not only brings a rushing perspective, but he's also one of the best blocking RBs in the NFL, and is a good receiving running back. He's a complete back, something that is hard to find these days.

I agree we need joe with or without Peyton. With that said he is not a guy who can carry the load. Need to start using him as a third down back on give him 10 to 12 carrys on a handfull of series every game.....

  11. I would think Addai would be back after the bye week. It make no sense to shut him down unless they are really trying to tank the rest of the year, he is by far our best back. I can't understand with Donald Brown trade talk??? What do you guys think you actually get for this guy, when this league is watered down with running backs??? What makes him stand out more than everyone else ,to the point that a team would come knocking on our door for him??????

  12. He's a chairman now, not President of football operations. The contract was between Peyton, his agent, and Irsay. I'm sure they were aware of his situation.

Besides, we hit a home run in every round of the draft, picked up more free agents than ever before (during the Peyton era), and were generally quite active. They did what the could, but early injuries, Peyton's inability to play, and a coaching staff that just can't make up it's mind for 4 full quarters will lead to where we are.

Are you really ready to call all of our draft picks home runs???????????? They have hardly been on the field so far.

  13. I agree that Polian has made a number of mistakes, but every GM has. Let's see some of the good decisions Polian has made:

    -finding Saturday

    -finding Brackett

-finding Bullitt (yeah, he isn't a superstar, but he was a capable backup and leader in the locker room)

    -drafting Edge over Ricky Williams

-drafting Bethea in the 6th round

-drafting Mathis in the 5th round I think

The list goes on and on. There are lots of talented players on this football team. The GM has done his job for the most part, he has brought in talented players. The coaches cannot find a way to get a win with the talent they have.

Our top three pick from 2007-2010

    2007

    A. Gonzalez

    T. Ugoh

    D. Hughes

    2008

    M. Pollak

    P. Wheeler

    J. Tamme

    2009

    D. Brown

    F. Moala

    J Powers

    2010

    J. Hughes

    P. Angerer

    K. Thomas

Out of thise 12 only Four are starting our team right now. Defend that????????

  14. We need the DT to make soem penetartion..

You dont have to go back far..

In the 2nd game of the year and the 3rd against the Steelers..,

..we got penetration from the tackles.and Mathis and Freeney were all over Rothlisberger..

    Remember...

then..the rookie and Charles Johnson got hurt ..pass rush is a group thing..

First off there is no Charles Johnson on the indianapolis colts. It's Antonio Johnson and he has been playing the last three weeks if you have been watching. And the rookie's name name is Drake nevis who has been injured for some time..... So you are telling me that freeney and Mathis Success Depends on how our DT's play????????????????????????????????????????????????????

  15. we lost 2 tackles..to injury and we're playing backups

    The ends are being double-teamed

Sunday..we blitzed more....and it had some effect...

But we need more from the tackles

Please name name me the dominate DT we had that let freeney and Mathis have single coverage in the past that we don't have now.. I would love to know

  16. One play...

    He played 4 quarters

Its was the the biggest play he needed to make and he didn't.. That the story with this team no one is stepping up and making plays. who cares if ran the ball good today!!!! We needed him to make a simple catch on third and three and he didn't get the job done.. Thats the bottom line......

  17. Neither Freeney or Mathis has registered a sack since week 5 against the chiefs. That’s over a month ago, and for that month they have been invisible on the field. There are a lot of player who aren’t playing up to par on this team and none stick out to more than these two. There only job is to get to the QB and both have failed to do so. Especially Freeney for the money he is getting to only play on passing downs. He has always been a one trick pony (meaning all he can do is pass rush) but to pay this much for what has become mediocre pass rusher is too much. For everyone out there who thinks he is a hall of famer, this season proves he is far from. Hall of famers are indivuals who are the greatest ever at their respected position and Freeney has proved he is far from that.
