  1. I don't believe that to be the case. NE can certainly be defeated. They aren't as of yet, but they're not without flaws and weaknesses. And I'm not suggesting they won't go undefeated, but there are a couple of teams left on their schedule that have a good chance of beating them. i.e. Denver at Denver won't be an easy game for NE. The Bengals or Denver could still get HF. Either way, I'd rather face someone else at their HF than NE. Not because I don't think NE can be defeated, I just think they're more difficult to beat at home.

yeah.  the stat they showed the other day.  Since Brady came back from his knee injury NE is 44-4 at home.  that is unreal.

  2. I would like to welcome you back with the same enthusiasm that I welcome back my mother in law. With that said...........What are you doing at my house?

I kid, I kid. Just don't take off your coat. As a matter of fact stand here at the door and I will go get whomever your here for.

ok.  that was funny.  and like your mother in law i'm assuming everything you say is wrong and you're not good enough for my daughter anyway.

  3. You may get a lot of haters on this forum, but your team is the best in the NFL right now, and your coach is one of the best ever. It was a big win for the Colts, I knew this team was better than all the naysayers on here over the past few weeks were saying.

I have no problem with haters.  If I did I wouldn't visit other teams boards.  I try to keep it respectable and hope they do the same.  Nobody on this board has ever been rude or disrespectful and that is rare, which is why I like coming here.

Anyway, great win.  I was pulling for Indy last night and not just because it helped NE.  The league is better when there is more than just one or two great teams.  I think Indy can be one.  Getting rid of that offensive coordinator was huge.  I liked last nights game plan, much simpler.  More short passes.

  4. Thank you very much.  Very kind of you to help out like that.  I knew you had it in you.  This offense always has a punchers chance and I gotta tell you, Andrew Luck impressed the heck outta me.  I always knew he was an elite talent but he is tough as nails.  Those runs for first down were not the runs of a quarterback, he looked like he was on a mission.  And now you know why Talib isn't in NE anymore.  He's soft and once the pressure gets to him he cracks.  Two years in a row he bowed out of playoff games with minor injuries.  You can't count on him.  Now they get a little adversity and his fingers the guy in the eyeball.  Great talent, 2 cent mind.

Anyway, I know you guys are enjoying this victory and you should.  That was a great win.  Congrats.

  5. Why are you so afraid of Denver?.

That 39 year old washed up noodle arm?. Really?.

Not afraid but I'd like to see my guys be able to rest key players down the stretch and not be playing everyone 48 minutes through week 17 to get home field advantage.

  6. I think the best we can hope for is for the Colts to cover the +5 they're getting. New OC vs that defense just seems like a potential disaster waiting to happen. Fingers crossed that I'm wrong though.

Well you know how these things go.  If the players didn't like the way the plays were being called they might play harder to prove that it was him and not then.  Not the ideal situation but I think that is what happened in Miami.  They fired the coach and then they crushed the next two teams.  I think with the offensive weapons Indy has they always have a punchers chance against anyone.  Denver has a great defense but their key players are very injury prone.  One or two go out and you're in business.  I'll be pulling for you.

  7. You guys'll get your chance in a couple weeks. No need to ask us favors LOL.

I know but just to be safe.  Patriots had that 4th week bye which I hate so I'm guessing they'll need the bye week to get a couple people healthy.

  8. thanks for the respectful post agree with a lot you said brady was off luck was rusty our defense stopped on 5 of 7 in the 2nd half which is a nice improvement ur o line is being scrutinized by BB right now I fully expect him to make adjustments there we handed that one to you guys on a silver platter :) see you in January

Looking forward to it.  Of course it'll probably be in Foxboro.  In the cold and snow.  Advantage NE.  I'm so glad we don't have a dome.

  9. Ok Colts fans.  Its been fun but I need to move onto the Jets board (always feel dirty after going there).  You guys have been a lot of fun.  Gotta love a respectful board that talks football instead of trash.  I hope NE and Indy meets up in the playoffs because its always a good time.  Keep Luck off the ground and I have no doubt you'll be there.  Take care of the Saint's this weekend.  Watch out for Watson going up the seems, its basically all they have anymore.  Be good.  Go Pats (had to throw that in there)

  10. It would have been fine if that onside kick was like you described. If NE actually has possession and the refs said the whistle blew , I have no problem with it. The problem is the replay showed that Pat on the bottom never had possession and the ball squirted out to his left. It then showed Montcrief starting to gather it in but never showed him gaining complete control or possession either. I's pretty obvious that if Montcrief came out with the ball , he must have recovered the fumble. I mean Jesus use a little common sense as the replay clearly shows the player that the ref mistakenly thought recovered the ball DIDN'T come close to doing so. It then shows the guy that came out with the ball gathering it in. Duh......

Well I don't know if it was obvious he recovered the fumble.  Its obvious he was the last one with it.  But technically if the Patriots player had it and it was wrestled away in the pile then it should be NE ball because he had possession and was touched down.  The problem I have is the original call of NE had it made it so it was impossible to overturn because you cant get enough evidence to show he didn't.  I think these refs are too quick with the whistle and their original calls have to be "overturned" which requires definitive evidence.  Why not just make the call on the field and let the end result of the replay decide the play.  It would have been Colts ball.  They lock themselves into a call and then need a lawyer and judge to overturn.  Flaw in the system and the Colts definitely got hosed.

  11. The Colts proved they belong among the best teams in the AFC. However, we lost by 7 to the team most people acknowledge is the best team in the NFL.

There is a reason to be optimistic, because we all know the best team after week 6 is usually not the best team after week 17. There is a lot of football to be played, and the Colts have certainly made some headway with the patriots. We closed the gap by 7 points. If we keep improving then there is a good chance we can overcome the gap in time for the playoffs.

There are no moral victories. Only Reality. And reality clearly states the Colts are closer to becoming an equal to the patriots. We are not there yet. There is no guarantee we will get there, but we are making progress.

It’s true. We played aggressively and would have been better off not calling a few trick plays. Obviously going into this game, our coaching staff felt we were the inferior team. After looking at this game tape they might reconsider, and realize the gap is not as wide as they originally thought.

The sooner all Colts fans accept this, the quicker we can move on.

On to the Saints. One week at a time. Let’s see how this plays out.

Be patient Colts fans. We still have 10 regular season games to play.

I'd say with a healthy Luck it goes like this in the AFC

    1.  NE

    2.  Cincinnati (though I still have my doubts but they're coming along)

3/4.  Indy/Denver.  That Denver defense is scary good but Peyton looks terrible.  No running game and no TE to speak of.  If he's having trouble throwing the ball downfield now what is he going to do in December/January when the wind is kicking up and its cold.

    5.  Jets.  ( I hate admitting that)

  12. The media is who was leading the charge about this being some sort of grudge game and made a lot more out of it than the players did. The players knew that when the game started it was football as usual. It is not over, There will be some media person somewhere who will take something and turn it into something to sell their pile of crap face, air or print time.

you're right.  and as a Pats fan I've seen so many interviews where they try to get NE to feed into these things and they never do.  I get they are doing their job but at some point you'd think the media would just realize it and not bother.  so many other football related questions you can get them to talk about.  even if this was a "revenge" game for them (and I think it was to some) they are never going to come out and say it.

  13. Honestly, your veiw of the game seemed fairly accurate. I'll add a few:

Luck was off today as well.  Overthrew many open guys down the feild, and in middling yardage.

A lot of pats fans complain it was a bogus PI call in the endzone to the TE, but he had his hands in the face mask of the defender while the ball was in the air, PI every day,..all day. one of the few correct calls by the officiating.  Holding was called a LOT when worse is let go.

Indy went away from the run when it was being a bread and butter play for them in the first half, but then....Blunt did not get the carries he should have had either being he was tearing it up as well.  I'll attribute that to Brady wanting to be more aggressive as well.

Edelmans injury probably attributed to the pick 6, and also probably why Brady started looking to others in the passing game.

there were NO screens thrown by Indy that I remember, and with T.Y. and Dorsett's speed, that should have been used a few times when they were 3rd and short.

This game was closer than many want to admit.  A botched play here (ovbvious 4th and 3 mention) or a fair call there..(not multiple things, just one of many choices) and the outcome of the game could have went the other way.

Both team were respectful to each other with media before and after the game, which was a pleasant surprise considering the events leading to it. ( sadly. the same cannot be said of many fans of both sides...)

You're right about Luck.  Don't know if that was the injury changing his mechanics or just being rusty but he missed some open receivers.  Missed that in my opening posts.

  14. I'm still kind of nervous! It was a close game, but only in score. There's a video circulating the internet that shows TY Hilton dropped his TD pass and it should have been over turned. Then we score again because Edelman has to juggle the ball with a broken finger which causes an interception...

We played well, but to beat New England in January, we're gonna have to play much, much, MUCH better than that. We scored 2 very questionable TDs. We won't get gifted so easily if we face them in January, we must be prepared!

I get what you're saying but that is football.  NE should have lost that onside kick.  (and I'm a pats fan) so those things happen.  Don't take away from your team's effort.  They played a good game.

  15. I have to avoid the Jets board. I don't think there is any moderation in what you can post and most people's pics are of chicks in bathing suits or thongs and I'd be at work looking....had to step away

Yeah its kind of a marshall law there.  Not many rules.  Dallas is the same way, they post whatever they wanted.  Then started talking about Brady's wife like Greg Hardy did and I said it was classless they banned me for trolling.  I wore that like a badge of honor.

  16. No one gave us a chance to even make this game competitve let alone win and we did keep it competitve for the most part. Im proud of our guys. We played with heart and toughness and for the first time they actually played like their werent scared. like they felt like they could actually win the game.

You're right.  it was a close competitive game.  Question is can Indy go into Foxboro, in Jan with snow and beat NE?  Because that is probably what its going to take to win a title.
