Vikings new stadium lets in the air only. It's protected from precipitation. Kinda cool. Pun intended.

    :)

vikings new stadium is still under construction and its another dome similar to ours

  2. With the offense struggling and changing coordinators it's going to be tough going for the offense against Denver. This defense so far is carrying that team and is being compared to some of the best defenses of all time.

Some say they havent been tested because of their schedule but I think that argument was squashed after what they did to Green Bay on Sunday night.

It would be awesome if Chud was able to make a big difference this week but I'm not holding my breath because of the matchup this week. It's going to be tough going.

i would agree with u only if jordy nelson wasn't injured. but i think if jordy plays greenbay would strech there D and make things a whole lot tough. plus broncos had the advantage of playing at home with hall famers surrounding them giving them extra motivation

  3.

I think it's no big secret that our pass rush is lacking. I also believe our offensive line, secondary, and inside linebacking groups should be bolstered in the offseason. I thought it would be an interesting exercise to just sort of lay out the top fits for our team that midway through the season I think may be available (may being the key word as the draft is unpredictable and still very far away) when we're on the clock at different points in the draft - as well as what position/role they'd fit in on the Colts. So here they are (in no real order within the sections):

    Offensive Lineman

    1st Round Prospects

    • Jack Conklin, Michigan St. RT (immediate starter at RT, lockdown tackle)

    2nd Round Prospects

    • Taylor Decker, Ohio St. RT (realistic chance he's gone in round 1, but I'd gladly take him in 2)
    • Jason Spriggs, Indiana OT (same as Decker)
    • Nick Martin, Notre Dame  C/G (versatile interior O-lineman, currently plays C, brother of Zack)
    • Vadal Alexander, LSU RG
    • Joe Dahl, Washington St. LG (natural left guard athleticism, but could probably play RG or C)
    • Josh Garnett, Stanford G (has been a true road grader this season)

    3rd Round Prospects

    • Tyler Marz, Wisconsin RT/G
    • Kyle Murphy, Standford RT/G
    • Pat Elfein, Ohio St. G
    • Cody Whitehair, Kansas St. G
    • Evan Boehm, Missouri C
    • Isaac Seumalo, Oregon St. C/G (versatile interior O-lineman, with lots of experience at C)

    Day 3 Prospects

    • Joey Hunt, TCU C
    • Joe Haeg, North Dakota St. OT

    Linebackers

    Round 1 Prospects

    • Myles Jack, UCLA ILB (has been compared to Derrick Brooks)
    • Jaylon Smith, Notre Dame ILB/OLB (highly athletic, may have less of a chance at being on the board here)
    • Carl Lawson, Auburn OLB (durability concerns, but probably the most explosive draft eligible pass rusher in college football)

    Round 2 Prospects

    • Darron Lee, Ohio St. OLB (probably goes in the top 40 but could slip, has some Shazier in him)
    • Shilique Calhoun, Michigan St. OLB (same as Lee minus the Shazier comp)
    • Jordan Jenkins, Georgia OLB
    • Jonathan Allen, Alabama OLB
    • Shaq Lawson, Clemson OLB (not yet positive of his scheme fit with us but he's a talented player)
    • Yannick Ngakoue, Maryland OLB
    • Scooby Wright, Arizona ILB

    Round 3 Prospects

    • Joe Schobert, Wisconsin OLB (measurables/combine will effect his stock largely)
    • Tyler Matakevich, Temple ILB
    • Joshua Perry, Ohio St. OLB

    Day 3 Prospects

    • Kris Frost, Auburn ILB
    • Steven Daniels, Boston College ILB
    • Dadi Nicolas, Virginia Tech OLB (has been largely overrated, but could be justified as a late round project)

    Secondary

    Round 1 Prospects

    • TreDavious White, LSU CB (immediate starter at CB2)

    Round 2 Prospects

    • Nate Andrews, Florida St. S
    • Will Jackson, Houston CB (should play on the outside, he's got the length)
    • Desmond King, Iowa CB
    • Vonn Bell, Ohio St. S
    • Tony Conner, Ole Miss FS
    • Jeremy Cash, Duke SS
    • KeiVarae Russell, Notre Dame CB

    Round 3 Prospects

    • Will Redmond, Mississippi St. CB (I've dropped him a round due to injury, love his short area quickness)
    • Jalen Mills, LSU FS (has experience at CB too)
    • Kevon Seymour, USC CB

    Day 3 Prospects

    • Zack Sanchez, Oklahoma CB
    • Eric Murray, Minnesota CB
    • Harlan Miller, SE Louisiana CB

hey i'm down with any of these choices just please no more Wrs in the first round

  4. I'd love to know to what extent Grigson controls the offense. Presumably, he controls the starting lineup and hirings, but does Grigson really do anything related to the actual play-calling or game plans? I somehow doubt he has that much control.

if he did have that control he surely lost it the day isray chewed him out

  5. GM: Jerry Jones

    HC: Marty Morhinwheg

    OC: Pep Hamilton

    DC: My middle school DC

Gm: Donald duck (just love his angry passion)

HC: Miss Piggy/Kermit the frog (they are a wrecking crew together)

OC: Big Bird so he can bring the air raid

DC:The Flash (could teach the colts pass rush to get to the quarterback as soon as he says hike)

ST: Bob The Builder (cause he could construct lanes for our kick returners)

  6. Redding is the only one that really made an impact for the Colts and we knew he was just going to be here for a couple of years to help transition the team to the new defense.

People will say Jones but he hasn't been that good for the Colts yet.  I think with him, he looked like a rotational player that was ready to become a starter but he isn't starter quality, I think next year he will be very good in the role of spelling Anderson and Langford or coming in for Parry on 3rd and long situations.

None of the Philly Lineman have worked out.  I mean come on McGlynn, Justice and now Herremans, you could throw a bean bag in a crowed mall and find three better lineman than those.  I think between them they are responsible for like 25 sacks, 123 Qb hits and 1059 QB hurries.

hate to bust ur bubble but that game against jax when herremans was out gore didn't have a pretty day

  7. Those of you that understand and know the cap a little better than me lol. Is this a possibility. How much would it save us? If it saves enough it would seem worth entertaining. You'd think our starting receivers, or main 3 WR's will be TY, Moncrief, and Dorsett. Then maybe we could sign Brian Quick to a little cheap 1year deal. Quick's got a ton of talent. Just had issues with injuries and what not. He started out with a bang last year before getting injured, and now only has 1 catch this year. Just something I've been wondering about.

all I have to say is that any wr right now would be an improvement over Aj

  8. One of these days people are going to have to realize Carter isn't that good right now. People make it seem like he's a guaranteed star just waiting to take the league by storm.

imo I think carter is in the best place right now. because if he were to try to run with this offense he'd surely get the boot before anyone can see how truly talented he is. so I think the best op is to wait out the rest of this season (Fire Pep) get a new oc that can actually work with all the wr's then we can see just how good carter really is

  9. can you guys please shed some light on why two years ago we were the least penalized team and had a good turnover differential and now its completely opposite?

as this has obviously contributed to the struggles this season.

well I did some back ground research on chud and correct me if I'm wrong but the article goes on to say on his bio that when he helped as a assistant coach to the offensive line in 2014 we were number one in offense. however this year for some reason he was removed from helping there and is now only a assistant head coach. in my op I think they gave pep the credit for that number one offense last year but the true game caller was chud himself. look up his bio and you'll find a top notch offensive coordinator

  10. Not that the Colts outplayed the Pats last night .. they didn't. But that replay rule that kept the onside kick in NE possession defies common sense.

    1) That "clear recovery " rule is fine on a turnover and I can understand that. This was not a turnover but instead a free ball.

    2) That said , the official that said NE ball clearly and no doubt based that on his 100% error in think that first NE player recovered the ball. The replay clearly 100% no doubt shows the ball was never controlled and squirted out to his right. The we see the Ind. player in the process of recovering the ball. This is clear and not even questionable.

    3) Now lets see... If player A didn't recover the ball and the ref award it to his team that should count for zero. If player B is seeing recovering the ball and there is no subsequent action or evidence of further possession changes and player B clearly has total possession of the ball when they unpile ... what am I missing ? All the official has to say or admit is he made a mistake in thinking the NE player recovered the ball.

Very flawed if this indeed is the rule covering that play.

the phantom patriot recovered the ball and thats how they won smh

  11. well.. unless the colts release pep or make some big time changes between now and new england we might as well take the second round pick in the draft..cause the divison wins are all we may be getting this year

  12. The officiating has been soooo bad this year. Flags everywhere! Nearly all the games last week were flag fests. Was there a mandate bc of the increased concerns over head trauma, just to throw a flag on every little infraction? I mean it's ridiculous. I get wanting to make the game safer, but come on. Or maybe just a lot of new crews (like Indy had Monday night) that are too flag happy. It really is ruining watching the NFL this season so far.

*Throws penalty flag* ahem is this mic on..umm there are two fouls on the play..personal foul complaining on this thread. that call has been declined. personal foul calling the officiating sooooo bad (even tho its true) 15 yards on the spot of the foul automatic fist down

  13. You wanna know what grinds my gear? Decision making. Cause that's exactly what grigson has been doing ever since he got here. Bringing a OC from a college team to help luck. IF the same thing happened to manning we wouldn't even be discussing his greatness, records, and accomplishments. Then our so called beloved Gm went out and got us an antique. that's right Mr. Andre Johnson hoping that would please us,and oh it pleased us alright. just like a old clunker on display does but enough about that. I say in order for us to rebound from where we are now and move forward, we definitely need a new OC who can help luck grow because a college OC can only go so far with his pupil but he cant help him grow..

  14. Sorry,  but Pep has to go.    The sooner the better.

The offense is a complete disaster.

Luck looks confused and lacking confidence.     That's on Pep.

The running game is spotty at best and that's on Pep.

The passing game is a horrible mess and that's on Pep.    Does he even know it's OK to pass to tight ends and running backs?    Almost everything is to a wide receiver.

Pep doesn't understand the difference between college football and the NFL.    He's still trying to use things that worked at Stanford and tries to make them work at the Professional level.

I rarely want to see 6 or 7 OL.    Not with all our weapons.   I don't want to see David Parry at fullback.    I don't want to see Josh Robinson or the Vega kid in crucial situations --  trying for a 1st down or inside the 10.    That's why we brought in Frank Gore.     I think the Gore fumble was brought on by a poor exchange with Luck that wasn't clean.  I could be wrong,  but that's what I thought I saw.

I think we give away plays by alerting everyone in the stadium of our intentions by personnel groupings on down and distance.    I sit at home and call out "pass" or "run" depnding on down and distance and where we are on the field.    I'm not wrong that often.    All we're doing is making our job much, much harder than it has to be.

Honestly,  I hope we all wake up tomorrow to find Pep has been let go and Chudzinski is the new OC.     The sooner this happens,  the better off the Colts will be.

    NCF

    i 100 percent agree with you !!!!

  15. To be honest. i believed we got screwed in our scheduling. i mean who starts off playing to contenders in the New England division, then u have three straight regular division games and finally New England themselves. who freakin made our schedule?
