agree 100% but take it all the way to march 8th..As a long-time fan and supporter of BOTH men, I'm getting fed up with the spitting contest. This week isn't about Peyton, Irsay or the Colts. It's time for BOTH of you to be MEN, and knock off this childishness for the rest of the week. You are ruining the celebration for all of the fans that have supported you for years.
My two cents' worth.

imo if peytons camp don't back off and give jim time to evaluate everything his chance decreases everyday he pushes..
-
when the doctors were seen irsay and peyton should have both givin the media a joint statement with what they found out..that way it looks as though they are both working togeather..instead of the drama and games being played out like they are..jmo (arn't they grown professional men?)
-
imo would have rather had the dc from alabama or lsu instead of an unemployed dc form a losing nfl team..sounds like our first mistake in the new era for grigs..hope i'm wrong..go colts!!!!
-
if you were the luck camp you would never rock the boat unless you had a safty boat lined up..(ie another team you know for a fact you are going too..) jmo

read rockyroj and try to learn and understand maybe he makes it simple enough for you to understand. i truly hope so.. but maybe not..I'm realistic. Thank god other level headed posters háve entered this thread unlike u. Not sure if u completely understand what I said earlier so I will try my best to dumb it down a little just in case it wasnt clear for anybody.
I have been a colts fan all my life and a season ticket holder for 2 years I was on the waiting list for 4 years. I'm willing to put my fanhood up against any person on here, but I'm not a delusional colts fan. Like other poster stated this team has been declining for years. We r changing the scheme on both sides of the ball and it doesn't happen overnight. We aren't going to all of the sudden run better, pass block better, have better dline play, or play better in the secondary overnight it's just not realistic. Neither do I think an aging/coming off a year layoff due to injury Peyton manning can hide the flaws of this team anymore. We simply don't have the talent. It sounds crazy to me that people think all of the sudden we just get better and manning can do something it took him like 9 years to do at the snap of a finger. It's not easy to win the super bowl at all. You have to be well balanced and healthy. Which we r not. So no I'm not a pats fan that's just ignorant to even assume just because I don't agree with u.

sure does seem to me they went to the playoffs just two years ago with peyton and these players. with better coaching who knows what could happen..imo i think this mp is a patriots fan or has memory loss jmoDefense: Freeney, Mathis, Angerer, Bethea, Powers (Solid, when healthy).
Offense: Brown, Garcon, Iljana, Castanzo, Collie, Wayne (Still, if we resign him).
-
with better coaching and a better D why not?Seriously.........two more super bowls? Got us 1 in 15 but u expect him to get us 2 in 2-4 years?
-
i feel the coaching staff alone will give us at least an extra 4 to 5 wins..get our hurt players back and tweek some spots and we are right their again with either peyton or luck jmo

imo i just wish irsay would have talked to peyton of his new vision for the team..when grigs and prag had their press all they had to say when asked about peyton was to say they hoped he was healing and they looked forward to workng with one of the greatest quaterbacks ever..this would have put everyones mind at ease and we would not be where we are now..poor management decisions imo they could have done all this even if they didn't expect to have peyton on the team.jmo
-
just wish irsay would have told peyton his new vision first..and then at spags' and grigs press they would have said they hoped peyton would recover because they were looking forward to working with a probowl quaterback like peyton..then the fans and peyton would be ok with what is going on..but everyone avoiding the peyton questions leaves too much speculation and we are where we're at..a house divided..jmo
-
agree..the bad thing is irsay is the one looking bad in all this in my opinion..firing his strength coach without a replacement, keeping peyton out of the loop, new gm avoiding peyton ect. i own a company and keep my best employees happy so they don't want to leave, guess jim don't look at it that way..It's over...
Like I said in another post.. both sides are doin their darn best to come out looking like the "good guy" ...
Sad to see it end this way.... but..... Jim wanted his team back, now he has it.
-
yep i agree..That's a good point, but Irsay shouldn't have addressed it publically. If what Manning did was so horrible, Irsay just compounded it. This is going to be an ugly divorce.
-
i agree 100%...if they are going to terminate his emplyoment. do it now so peyton can weigh his options and move on irsay owes him that..I am not a huge Kravitz fan. But, he is right to call Irsay out on this. Was what Irsay said that bad. Not really. But, I think his twittering everything on his mind is starting to rub some people the wrong way. Irsay cant be so open to putting the Colts business out to anyone that will listen, and then try to tell Peyton, to be blunt, shut the H up. Really, this guy is going to say that to his "family". First off, Peyton said nothing that was disrespectful. He was just saying he felt bad and the enviroment around there sucks. I am sure it does. This dude is trying to get healthy and you fire the person working with him? The strength and conditioning coach might have needed to go, but was it so important to let him go in the middle of Peytons rehab. I think Peyton was starting to feel isolated from the head office. It really has sounded like Irsay and Grigs were shutting him out. Thats fine, he is just a player. But, then except that a player has feelings and can only take so much. Especially one that has done so much for your franchise.
-
imo i think peyton should not have given the second interview and went straight to irsay's office in the morning or to his house and ironed this out once and for all..i know alot is going on now but your franchise quaterback should be kept in the loop.
-
so if peyton does not come back just who would you have quaterback our team?? the only two teams that luck and rg3 played that were the same luck won and rg3 lost.. so who do you guys want to lead our team?? we have to have a good quaterback to have a chance in the nfl right? do you really think our players suck that bad? weren',t we just in the playoffs 2 years ago?? ouside the box is one thing out of this world is another..You need to do some research and make your own opinions. You go with everything you hear from someone else, you are thinking as a square average person does, forgive me for thinking outside the box and being a leader not a follower.
-
and just how much has the city and the colts made off of peytons name???Agreed, indeed. He has enough money for his grandkids to be rich beyond belief. It just plain boggles my mind how people think that a FB jock worth 200-300-400MM has been mis-treated.
Please, Oh Please, God - mistreat me in this manner!

Colt fan since early 70's here. Manning becoming new Farve- The organization has to do what is best bfor the whole of the team- The King Manning days of control are over; get with the new program, or get out!
thanks for the post..espn is making a big deal over it on espn 32.jim irsay.didn't sound mad to me..but like you with all thats been going on it don't look good for peyton..I've had that thought too. I mean part of me was thinking really Irsay if you have such an issue about Manning talking to the media rather than you doing what you are upset with him for doing and go down to see Peyton Manning and talk about it. Peyton made it known he's in the Colts complex and isn't hiding from anyone. I know you don't want to let a player run your franchise and I don't think the Colts should but I also think it's okay to talk to a player of Manning's stature about what you are doing.
My advice to Jim Irsay right now would also be treed lightly. You aren't going to win a PR war with Peyton Manning in this city. If you have to make the hard call to release Peyton Manning it would be smart to stay quiet about it till you have to do it and make it look like a business move that you completely hated doing.
Here is video to Irsay talking to the media after the presser today.
People can judge for themselves if Kravitz is spinning or reporting what Irsay was saying.

Again I love Peyton Manning to death and it kills me to say this but I honestly don't think we are going to see Peyton Manning play as an Indianapolis Colt again. I would love to be and I hope I am wrong.
-
imo i think peyton and irsay should sit down talk it out..then both go to the media togeather and put this to rest once and for all..
-
so their are 32 gm's in nfl football and all 32 stated to mort they would take andrew luck with the first pick.. so i take it you know more than all the gm's in the nfl? i imo i will stck with the experts..draft luck number 1..can't see every gm in the nfl being wrong..but then again maybe you have had alot more trainng and alot more insight than all of them so may you know bestI agree with ramblin on this topic, you should change your name to narrow minded box thinker, who hopes luck is on Peyton's level. Some people like us think outside the box, and aren't looking to ruin the team, but maybe we would ruin ur luck love affair!
-
mort on nfl32 stated he has talked to every gm in the nfl and everyone stated they would take andrew luck with the first pick!! so i guess your screen name fits you ramblinwreck because you ramble on and would wreck a team if you ran one...glad you don't run mine..I kind of expect that Peyton Manning will be healthy. We haven't heard anything in a while about him rehabbing, but it was expected that he would recover fully. He hasn't said anything, but I would think that he is getting back to full strength by now. I don't know though.
That's why I don't like to speculate on things like this like a lot of Andrew Luck people on here. You may not know if he is healthy, but you also don't know that he isn't healthy.
-
i agree with you 100% but with all the talk on here we just hired jimmy johnson a proven winner. he has never ever been a head coach and only one year as dc..at 51 you would have thought if he was that good he would have at least had more years as a dc or oc..imo.. but as you said only time will tell maybe he's a late bloomer..But he's different and from another team so he must be good.
I'm not saying he's bad, only time will tell. I'm jsut saying he's nothing to get excited about, yet.
-
yes but look at the bright side like alot of people on here are..he's won 0 superbowls, 0 afc championships, but he is the next best thing since sliced bread.Oh boy. I'm probably one of the few that will say this. I'm less than thrilled with a head coach that only has one year of coordinator experience in the NFL His defense this year was incredible but still I, personally, would rather have someone that has more experience running the entire show, not someone who has spent a year focusing on one aspect of the game.
-
i sure hope he dosen't mean he will hire jerry grey as our new head coach...we could do alot better imo..
