  1. He is not nor has ever been the problem

The one play that stood out to me the most from the AFC Championship game what an inside run play where the Patriots blocked him with their FB on a trap play. He got nailed and the play went for about 15 yards. I remember thinking to myself "There's no way Jack Doyle or even Dwayne Allen light up Vince Wilfork like that"

He's still young, and improving, but while he's not the worst NT in the league, he's hardly been a difference maker to this point.

  2. - This list is created with an All Positions Created Equal mantra. So you won’t see 32 quarterbacks heading the list — even though that is the most valuable position — instead seeing how guys played relative to what is expected from their position. You might disagree with this for doing a Top 101 list, which is your right, but this is how we’ve done it for the past four years and will continue doing it so that every player has a fair shot at getting the respect they deserve.

They're not saying that Andrew Luck is the 84th most valuable player in the league, or that he'd go 84th in a fantasy draft. They're saying that in a world where all positions are valued equally, and have an equal impact on the game, Andrew Luck is the 84th best player in the league. So when people are saying that the Vikings would trade 10 Shariff Floyds for 1 Andrew Luck, although that's the case in the real world, it's not the point with this list. The point is, that if defensive tackles were as important as QBs, then Shariff Floyd is a better player. Again, in the real world, that's obviously not the case, but in this scenario of all positions being equal, in their opinion, it is.
