  1. Miller is 255, Irving 245, Marshall 240. They're not undersized, that's at least average.

They can want to run all day, but Denver has consistently been one of the best run defenses the last few years, even last year despite countless injuries. Denver's defense, especially when healthy, should be very good in all aspects. A below average RB like TR will be hard pressed to have any success.

Denver has been extremely good against the run the past couple seasons..... really ever since Jack Del Rio was hired.  One of his often droned credos is 'No one runs on us'.  It's part of the philosophy of the scheme in general.  Doesn't mean it always happens but they absolutely emphasize it constantly, and the front 7 hold themselves accountable there.

Yes the Broncos will have an extra guy on the backside more than the front. 2c

I'm not sure it's fair to say the Broncos can't stop this or that.  Or that the Colt's can't stop Manning.  It's a new season and as it is for all NFL fans, anything is possible in week 1.  I'd feel comfortable calling these 2 teams an even match if on neutral field.

Even week 2 brings a LOT more comfort in evaluating teams.  Week 1 is just a crap shoot baring 1/3 of the teams.

Football is back!  I couldn't sleep last night because of it.  Tossing and Turning.... got up early, washed the dogs ... sheez still got 3hrs to go.  I love this time of year.

  2. If you guys aren't familiar with Chris Harris, he's a VERY talented DB who is coming off the same kind of injury as Reggie Wayne.  I hope they both come back from their major injuries without losing what makes them extraordinary.

Harris does have to take Luck's slipperiness into account.  Like Champ Bailey, Harris is exceptional at fortifying the Rushing Defense while covering.  He covers his guy but he keep his eye on the QB and peels off when his receiver is no longer a threat to catch.

He needs to be careful though not to forget his founding assignments.  Chris Harris was actually an undrafted free-agent and he's turned into one of the best nickel DB's in the NFL.

This is going to be one hell of a game.

  3. Offense needs to get a 2 score lead 9+

Defense needs to start and end regulation of 1st and 2nd half with 3 and outs (bookend frustration).  Pressure (Luck) - even if you don't sack.  Cause hurries - but maintain contain.  DL get hands up to deflect passes.  These things will increase the odds of INT's at worst and INCompletes at best.  If Denver can get pressure with 4 and the occasional 5 - they're front 7 should have their mission accomplished.  The Indy running game is nothing to fear as it stands now(but remains to be seen).  I suspect there will be a few safety blitzes that will come as a surprise.  But I don't see the Broncos blitzing much at all.

Special Teams/Overall Team Win the turnover battle.  This isn't rocket science.  It's one of the most influencial stats there are in NFL football.  Usually the winner of the TO battle wins the game.

-not predicting anything just saying what I think it'll take(or help) to beat Luck.
