Yes firing Coyer is good start, it opens a door for FIRING Caldwell in the off season. As much as a Peyton fan I am a bigger colts fan. If Peyton is Healthy I'm believing more and more we will trade him (to a team of his choice cause he has done so much selfless acts to better the colts, I think Irsay would honor it.) That in return for more draft picks to help rebuild. To sum it up quickly. 1. Fire Caldwell, bring in Jeff Fisher as new head coach he will then bring in his own DC. 2. Change defence scheme from tampa 2 to cover 2/ 4-3 under. 3. Trade Manning for draft picks. 4. Cut Buillett, Brackett, Foster and Gonzo. 5. Resign Wayne and Mathis, Saturday and Diem. That being said, Luck is the first pick in the draft for the colts second round I would love to see Mark Barron cause I would cut buillet but I think in order to protect the new qb for the colts they will go guard for the second pick in Osemele. Third round I agree with ya on Jayron Hosley. If I'.m not mistaken he is a returner as was so bonus. As much as I would love to draft NT in the first round we need to go CB Morris Claiborne. But as worst team in the nfl we can still get a good NT in the second. My list of NT id pick goes like this Brandon Thompson (who will be gone) than Alameda Ta'amu who I think might be there at the 33rd pick. Why him u ask, big man with good feet. He may not fit as ur typical NT in a tampa 2 which calls for a smaller faster NT but hear me out. You got Freeney and Mathis one of the best pass rushing duos if not the best who always need double teaming, we all love Nevis right big and fast as a UT perfect for the Tampa 2 will and hopefully will need to be doubled from time to time, acting as a third pass rusher. This is where we need to change our thinking. But a true NT here 3-4 NT in our line up he my not be fast enough to beat u with his feet but is to strong for one line man to handle and will disrupt the pocket and take up space to help stop the run. Which also requires a few doubles himself which free up someone else to rush the passer. Also all this will give our linebacker time to read and react to the pass or run.
