  1. Good god, anyone who can even put Marvin in a top 3 is completely dellusional. Notice how even at washed up points TO and Moss still get calls, Marvin once released by the Colts just disapeared. Marvin was good dont get me wrong, but no where near great.

  2. I think we will know what we have right from the start. Struggles aside, you can generally tell if a QB will be able to reach that next step or just bust. FYI i wanted RG3, I think after week 6 we will see that without oversized tight ends, Luck will lack the arm to come up big for us. I dont want to sound negative, but I just do not have a "lucky" feeling regarding Luck.

  3. I think its time we take our blinders off and admit M.H. wasnt this spectacular wide reciever but more a reliable wide reciever who was able to be great because of Peyton. I would rate him along the lines of Craig Jennings of the Packers.

  4. All the reports out there say the guy is back to his prime fitness. He is a man with a mission and with something to prove. Why not bring him in as a backup and someone to mentor Luck as he experiences the trials and struggles of being an NFL star. Plus I think having a solid backup with his experience is worth it in it's own right.

  5. http://aol.sportingnews.com/nfl/story/2012-02-23/2012-nfl-scouting-combine-polian-reiterates-manning-has-made-good-progress

    1. Peyton being on track (if he restructures contract) then pass on luck

    2. Take Richardson the RB

    3. Sign Mario Williams to shore the D line

    4. Sign Hines Ward once he is cut

    5. Sign a mid level CB (Stanford Routte comes to mind or Brent Grimes)

    6. Cut some dead weight... Ok a lot of dead weight

  6. Isn't there this guy in Green Bay who threw for 6 TD passes in one game? Sounds like a better investment to me then a kid who has never played a down in the NFL. Financially speaking we may need to lose peyton (not worth 28 million bonus) and would personally rather have a guy who was one score away from beating New England on the road in his 1st NFL start. Sign Flynn then draft Richardson!!!

  7. I am just saying after every pass he completes you get to hear how great he is and as soon as the commercial is over we are greeted by a "Andrew Luck is the greatest." I am not saying he is not good, I am just saying that he probably is not the best athlete in the draft. I think we all saw RG3 pile up points, if we must draft a QB i would prefer him. Sure he doesn't have the super hype that Luck has but he was an olympic caliber hurdler.

  8. Not a conspiracy theorist but don't you think it is a little odd how ESPN seems to be the ones who make the moves happen or force them to happen on how they report. Why is Luck so good? Is it because he went to Stanford and is considered smart? Look, his arm is not dominant and i think we all know how the media creations end up when it comes time to play. Marijuanavich anyone? Leaf? Carr? Russel?

  9. I like blackhawk 4. Manning will one day retire this is a fact. Really? Are you sure we do not have a fountain of youth lying around? Tell me Confucius or as he goes by these days, blackhawk 4, what other gems do you want to grace this message board with tonight. Also please do include bold words to highlight how you really feel. Also feel free to use underline and italics as well as these are great tools to help send your wise message to us all.

  10. Are you mad? Smart move would be to take Trent Richardson at 1. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to finally give Peyton a legit number 1 running back? I can see it now...excuse me as I reminisce about the glory days of Manning and Edgerrin James. Give Peyton a running back and watch him take us back to the glory land. Besides why give up on a sure fire hall of famer for some kid with a weak arm. Luck is nothing more then a media creation!!! Don't Buy into the hype.

  11. We all saw what he did at the University of Arizona and how unlucky he was to get fired for starting the season with 5 un-winable games. I am a huge non fan of UofA but the guy did recruit Foiles and brought this team to relevance for a few years. He shows such excitement and fire on the sidelines that I think its just what we need. Not to mention that he is familiar with Luck if Polian does make the mistake of drafting him. Let me finish by saying I don't think we should get rid of Caldwell but it looks inevitable now and this guy would be the ideal choice to replace him!

  12. No grown man is going to go out and not play to the best of they ability to help get the 1st pick in the draft. We just suck so all we have to do is show up on Sunday's and continue playing like the last past 10 weeks.

Most grown men will do whatever they need to do to get the money. Either way most of them know that they will be without a job next year so it really doesnt matter what they do now. I think the players will try to mail it in but Caldwell will motivate them to go out and get a shock win somewhere in the remaining games.

  13. I agree I think Minnesota and Washington both succumbed to some of the worse offensive game plans that I have ever seen. I see Ponder, a QB with some talent, being forced to hand the ball of to his WR who starts in the backfield? Lets be real here in Wash Shanahan never wanted to give McNabb a shot. If anything else he could be a backup for whatever QB we decide to go forward with (preferably not Luck).

  14. Its almost like this team has aged very quickly and not gracefully. Lets be honest our defense back then wasnt too great so having that many of them still here is probably not a great thing. On offense we were great because of manning and only manning. They should have taken this offseason and imploded the whole team when there was time. It was inevitable to happen eventually and now we will have to do it with either a banged up manning or a potential bust QB in Luck.

  15. Believe me when I say this Caldwell will have these guys ready. He knows this is a must win for the team because nobody wants to be 0-16. Cam Newton is solid but our defense will step it up and I see us getting at least 17 on the board so I think we will win 17-13. If they dont win this game it just shows that Polian is forcing Caldwell to lose because we all know Caldwell is a very good coach.

  16. Is this a joke??? Peyton has no experience as a head coach. However, I would let him be an assistant and allow him to move up but again we already have a solid coach!!! Caldwell needs talent and he will get us to the promise land for sure. The guy did it once before and if we had a little more on D we could have beat the Saints.

  17. For the #1 Luck Pick.... we will get Andrew Luck. Duh.

Yeah good thing you are not the GM, Although Bill Polian may think the same. Let me ask you in poker do you show your hand before placing a bet. We need to play it off like all these teams are offering huge packages for the pick. We can get so much for this pick its sickening. Yeah might as well unplug the phone come draft day... Listen to offers and take the best one. We got the right guy last time in Manning but look at what happened to the team that got Leaf. If Luck is Leaf we are 8-9 years from competing and this is not acceptable!!!

  18. We can even give Niners Addai as well. They would be stupid to turn a deal down like that and Harbaugh would force the deal so that he can work with his true prodigy. Everyone knows SF is peaking early and will fall back down so why not leave on a high note and join the Colts early in their dynasty. However, we already have a great coach in Caldwell so if Harbaugh says no I say stick with Caldwell and let him be the coach of our future dynasty.

  19. You for sure need to trade the number one pick and not pick Luck then trade him because Luck is not worth as much as people think. Did you see his game versus Oregon. Oregon is not the best defensively. I think Sarkisian of Washington hit it right on the head when he said Barkley is the better QB. Mark my words whoever drafts Luck will be making a grave mistake. Trade the number one Pick and let someone else make this mistake and watch as the media rips Luck into submission as he struggles to get his grip in the NFL. We have Peyton anyways, draft a defensive playmaker round one and with all the other picks we get fill the squad out accordingly with young, hungry talent.

  20. We just need to sign a couple of impact players in the free agency and get Peyton back and then its all off to next years super bowl because we will be right under the radar. We will just need to take it one week at a time. I really think that we can do it. I think we only need a safety, a LB or two, 2 solid O-linmen and some impact players like a running back and a WR. We get these and we will go all the way guaranteed.

  21. Good CEO's have backup plans for their backup plans. Polian is not a good CEO, and nothing more then a tool for posting such nonsense. I think its a disgrace how we only have 1 championship for all of those years of Peyton at his peak. How bad was our D all of those years? Every year we all saw it coming... any team with a half decent offense would run up and down the field on us as we lost due to Peyton the great not being able to score on every possession. Lucky for us that the year we won it we got to face the Bears who had no offense. Hey look at an article on Yahoo sports"

Bill Polian Doesn’t Think Colts Relied Too Heavily on Peyton Manning."

    is this a Joke?
