  1. Do you know how to shift your players, have them back off in coverage or press? Because I find making those few adjustments help. Madden 25 is the best one minus the glitches IMO

Yes. I know how to do all the pre snap changes. Ive been in the top 100 the past 3 years and I can tell you that it is almost consensus that this madden as well as last years, at least in my eyes and the eyes of the guys Ive talked to that really understand the game and how to play it, have been trending in the wrong direction.

  2. It started 2 years ago with one league..Last year, it expanded to two leagues..The Elite league, consisting of players from that previous year, and the Joe's league, newcomers to the Forum, or less experienced players. Andy runs both leagues, and this year had the bottom 2 teams moving to the Joe's league, and the top 2 move into the Elite League. It is also going to be made into a keeper league, though the final settings on how that will be handled will happen will be decided early this fall around training camp time.

I don't think we would have enough DEDICATED people to start a 3rd league, if we do that would be a possibility, Only, knowing Andy's schedule, someone like myself, who was the co-commish of the Joe's league could make up a third. I think there was another league as well, but I think those were for some old timers, that had one going from years ago, but weren't affiliated with the ones Andy set up.

I think that there was another group people came up with, but I don't remember who ran it, how it went,,,etc.

Last year, I know in our league, one person quit, and we had him replaced with another Forum member, who too over his team.

Right now, its still too early to know who all is coming back..as of right now, everyone is planning on being back,..If you want to be considered to possibly fill in if there are any openings, send me an in game PM, and cc Andy. That way, you would be first on the list, if someone decides that they can't play this year. Just remember, if you take over a team, there will be either 0,1, or 2 keepers. Its not going to be a fresh draft in Eilte or Joe's....And, this is the most important thing..If you show you aren't working your team, you will be warned, then if it happens again, you will be asked to leave, depending on the situation..We only want active members that are dedicated to their teams..makes it more fun for all of us..

Its way down the road..but thanks for asking about it..Our two leagues are really competitive, even between each other...it was one of the best years I had playing, in terms of people in the league..

Post again more towards the beginning of pre-season...and we'll see where we stand... Thanks for the interest. You'll be kept in mind..

NOTE: We also run a FORUM pick'em contest every year..it kinda dwindled off this past year, but I'm sure it will be back again this year...Just keep an eye on this board, and the NFL general section for more details..

Thanks buddy, I will keep this in mind, though I dont know how to send an "in game PM" or "cc" somebody lol. Sorry, brand new to everything related to this forum business. I would be dedicated though, you wont have to worry about that.

  3. Team A had the better season, however I sometimes feel like if we dont win the Superbowl I would rather have a losing record as to fill the team with better talent for the future. I think about this sometimes but during the games I can never get myself to hope that we lose, even if we have no chance to go to the postseason, due to my ultra competitive mindset. In 2011 before we drafted Luck, I knew we wouldnt get him if we beat the Jaguars, but I still wanted to win that game so we wouldnt get swept by our division rival.

  4. I also like our weapons with TY, Reggie, Rogers, Brazill, Whalen, Allen and Fleener. I believe that if they can stay healthy for the most part that we have one of the better groups in the league. I also hope we resign Brown because he looks as if hes finally bringing what we hoped he would. I am not ready to give up on Trent and when we get Ballard back I also like our stable of backs. I do not however want to continue to field this o-line. We need to sign a free agent or two to fill the holes at center and guard. Im ok with Thornton starting because he seemed to be improving and is only a rookie, but Thomas has been injured twice that I know of in not many games and Id rather him be a backup to a free agent gaurd (Asamoah). The defense needs a lineman (preferably one that can rush the passer) a second corner, and a cover safety (Byrd would be ideal). An inside linebacker would also be an upgrade, though I do like what McNary brings.

  5. For me it isnt about Fleener OR Allen, its about what creates the biggest mismatch for the defense that we are up against that week. Allen is a good reciever who blocks better than Fleener while Fleener isnt as good of a blocker but is quicker, taller and more of a red zone threat. I see us using multiple different combinations next year. Well see more 2 tight end sets which hopefully (with an improved o-line) will get our run game going. Im sure we will also see Fleener split out wide like he sometimes was this year. Against some teams it will make more sense to bring in 2 tight ends to attack the defense by running the ball (though both Allen and Fleener dont lose too much in the recieving aspect of the game), other times we will find matchup problems with 3 recievers so Im just glad we have both them them to be honest. I feel we have many ways to attack defenses next year with Allen, Fleener, TY, Reggie, Brazill, Rogers and Whalen.

  6. Im not giving too much blame to any unit. Our defense couldnt stop the run or consistently pressure Brady. It did have good moments in the game though. The offense couldnt protect Luck at times and couldnt run the ball well. Luck also threw a bad bad INT to begin the game and forced another later on that he shouldnt have. There can be improvement in all areas. The defense needs some changes on the line (someone to generate a pass rush), an ILB, a cover safety and a #2 corner. The offense needs a new guard (depending on Thornton developing, who I actually like) and a center. Luck can improve on his decisions as well. Our play calling on offense seemed to get better come playoff time. Overall I am happy with what we did this season, but at the same time I know that we are only a handfull of pieces away from a special season.

  7. I would like us to move Landry to Bethea's spot if he walks and sign a true FS. Obviously Byrd is the best available, but Im not too sure of the money it would take to aquire his services. Bethea just had too many mistakes in coverage for my liking this year. He can still play the run nicely but thats why we signed Landry. Neither seems good in coverage.

  8. Peyton Manning is one of, if not the greatest quarterback of all time. He is class personified. I dont see how anybody who loves the game in general cannot love what he has become for the sport and what he has done for it. He may no longer be a Colt so some may no longer root for him because of that reason, but I dont see how the Broncos winning this year reflects badly on the Colts in any way. I am a Colts fan, when we played Denver I wanted to win and wanted Mathis to sack Manning many times. But it ends there. I dont see rooting against Denver because of Manning, that makes no sense to me. I will root for Denver the next two games and dont see it reflecting anything on anyone besides the Broncos and Mannings great season.

  9. I dont believe we should cut Rogers. He came onto the team late in the year and made plays. I feel like his route running needs to improve because he seems to be locked up at times but I see potential from him. Big, strong, high points the ball, runs angry. I also like that he had to earn his spot onto the roster and wasnt just put onto the active team. He obviously showed something to coaches about his maturing process and I love his big play ability. His catch against the chiefs shows exactly the type of play I feel he is capable of in the future.
