  1. How do we even know Luck will choose #12? Maybe he doesnt wanna share that number with like 4 other star QBs. Maybe hes like Peyton and changes his # to one thats least used. U know?...make a name for yourself..

I almost had a Luck jersey made but didn't for this reason^^^^^

Plus the NFL will be wearing Nike this year so I'm waiting for those to come out.

  2. You got a white one too? lol I only had the home Jersey so I figured since they were such a good price I'd gamble on it and get the White to go with my Blue. Plus living in NY I use to get dumb Giants fans thinking I had an Eli jersey on (Our home and Giants home JErseys are very close in color.)

Yeah I bought a white premiere for something like $90. I have the blue premiere and have had a "fake" real white one for 2 years. Always felt kind of low having the fake real one. I saw this deal and jumped at it.

Also, not to get ahead of myself but I will, I picked up this. Check it out.

    http://store.nike.co...0701/pid-455588

I'll wear it on opening day this year then have him sign it.

  3. I am a Manning fan, as a matter of fact I JUST bought another Manning jersey 3 days ago, however I am FIRST and foremost a COLTS fan. I just dont get the point of this thread. To argue about how upset you'll be that people can say someone is better than Manning. Who cares? IF Manning leaves the Colts, I wont care, I wont follow him where he goes, and I'll root against him if he is fighting us for a playoff spot or playing against us. He is just a QB, a great QB but none the less he is not the Colts and I think that is where this has gone.

Also I don't care who they are saying is better, because that will never be actually decided until they are all retired. WHy not just wait til then to debate it.

And I don't get why you'd post in a thread you don't get.

  4. Uh, no, it doesn't come down to which one you like more.

I'm not here to troll. I actually came to ask what your opinions were on Manning leaving. I'm wondering if Indianapolis will ever recover if the organization discards Manning like yesterday's garbage knowing that you're all so loyal to him. That's why I came. Then I saw this and just couldn't let it slide.

Manning is a great quarterback. Brady has proven himself better. Sorry it's just the clear objective truth

No, you're a Pats fan on a Colts board. All you can do is troll.

  5. WITH SO LITTLE?!?!

Two HOF WRs in Harrison and Wayne.

Two outstanding TEs in Clark and Pollard.

Great RBs in James, Addai, and one HOFer in Faulk.

An outstanding O-line up until a few years ago.

Terrific complementary WRs such as Stockley, Collie, among others.

Please. For a decade Peyton was given an outstanding offense to work with. The Colts' defense was built to hold the leads that Peyton helped build.

These are some of the same pieces that were there this year and we saw how well the Colts did. It's been Manning the whole time. Plus, I love seeing Pats fans claim Manning had SO much talent around him when these are the very same players the Pats, themselves, passed on.

    1996 Pats- T. Glenn Colts-M.Harrison

    2001 Pats- R.Seymore Colts- R.Wayne

    2002 Colts- D.Freeney Pats- D.Graham

  6. Its your title of the thread.........you say "Peyton Manning fans", as if that includes me in your thinking. It does not. Just like you said just above..."We expected more". Please make your own statements without including others that may not feel the way you do. Thank you.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. I try to not include others in my statements, but I make mistakes too. I read my response and realized I should have said "some" when referring to spoiled fans. Peace.

I will quote you as I see fit. Do not tell me how to post.

"we expected more." being Colts fans. I'll include you because I can.

    Toodles.

  7. Just for the record, the season is over. It can continue for you, however, if you want to rehash it. Me? I'll concentrate on our new GM and new direction.

This is not directed at you personally, but the only truly horrible thing I have seen this season is the exposure of spoiled fans. Onward and upward! Tally .........................ho!

The Colts are just 2 years removed from the SB. They should not be in rebuilding mode already. Especially with the same scheme and essentially the same pieces in place. Yeah, we're spoiled as fans but we expected more. Even with Peyton hurt.

  8. I think I remember hearing they believe Manning initially injured his neck/nerve in 2006 against the Redskins. Then I believe it was last year that Jaws said he thought Manning was losing some of his zip. There's a direct correlation between the injury and perceived lack of a deep ball. Garcon can't catch anyway.

  9. Some of you guys REALLY need to chill out with this "ridiculous" crap. It's hypothetical and just something to talk about or at least mull through. I know, we're all so entrenched in this fabulous season the Colts are having but you can only read so many "fire Caldwell threads" or "trade Peyton or don't trade Peyton."

Yes, I'm in the same boat as all of you that if Peyton is playing we're fighting for the number 1 seed, not draft pick. It was a simple question; healthy manning and the first pick at this stage of his career, what do you want? Thanks for those that answered or discussed. It wasn't that hard.

  10. If Manning were playing, we wouldn't be in position to draft Andrew Luck. Even a bad season with Manning is still at least an 8 win season. You said he has his typical season, and last year, he willed us to 10 wins with virtually no help from the defense or the running game, or special teams. It was all the passing game for most of last year. We were four or five errant throws from going 13-3 and having the top seed in the AFC.

If, somehow, we had Manning playing well, but the defense was giving every game away at the end, or something crazy like that, and we were still in position to draft first, I don't think we'd draft a quarterback with the first pick. I think we'd either take a playmaker if one is available at an impact position (defensive tackle, corner, receiver), or we trade down and try to add as many pieces as possible and load up for another four years with Manning. The reason I say that is because it would be evident that we need significant help outside of the quarterback position to be competitive. I'm relatively certain that we'd be looking at another 10 win season at least if Manning were healthy and playing well. He's the biggest difference maker in the league.

Difference between the two scenarios is that you have a measure of certainty with Peyton Manning that we don't have, specifically because of the injury that you're saying we should pretend never happened. We don't know if Manning is still the biggest difference maker in the league.

I believe the Colts wouldn't be in this position either. I still believe the Colts would have won the division this year. I (like most on here) was hoping for a home game SB. Especially since I don't see the Pats, Steelers, or Ravens being very consistent.

I would like a healthy Peyton and a Matt Kalil or a Justin Blackmon with extra picks over Luck.
