  1. Clean house. HC, DC, OC, and most importantly Polian. Never fixing the oline, well he tried through the draft, the guy just can't draft lineman, thats why we got everyone from the great lines we had in free agency about 12 years or so back. He also can only draft 1 position on D and thats the defensive end, and that's debatable because Dungy was here for that.

Now he wants Luck, I'm so tired about hearing about Luck, ok lets get another great QB (presumably) and not do anything else for 12-14 years and waste his career away too!!!! Awesome!!!!!

Even the Offense that has been so great over the years has been in decline for sometime now.

The Cover ifuwant 2 scheme clearly isn't working, but what else can we do, this is the worst secondary that has ever taking to the field. Seriously, even if Manning wasn't injured, This is our all in for the year the Superbowl is in Indy???

    ABSOLUTELY!

  2. I think back to the beginning of the season and the team was feeling disrespected because everybody said the Colts are a one man team. I think you can see it in their faces it is starting to sink in that it is true. Next will be how long before there becomes divisions in the locker room. Most importantly is next year when Peyton is back will they have lost any swagger they have had.

And there's the problem. There's no such thing a s a one man team. We are a top tier team but we have not only the worst corners but rookies playing the positions as well. People are scoring at will with the big receivers. Even if "The One Man Team" was out there we are still giving up yards and points every time out. We should have gotten a couple of experienced vets to play CB before the deadline but noooooooo. That front office has put it all on the table for Manning it it's showing. Keeping Gonzo and Sanders around and not getting CBs the last two years? We have a BIG back and we don't use a two back situation. We use to run a great screen play but the second year after Edge we stop doing that. There is no balance on this team or the front office and "The One Man Team" mentality is not going to cut it. Face it! It never did. When we won the SB we had a defense that was balanced. Maybe not the greatest but balanced enough to get the stops. We had an offense that gave you different looks and if you keyed in on the pass we would chk down and EASILY get first downs on third. WE HAD A TEAM! now we have NO BALANCE!

I was one that was saying give CALDWELL a chance but I'm here to say right now, it's time for him to go as well. If you can't for whatever reason demand to get the pieces you need then you shouldn't be the leader.

  3. Yes, our best player is out and look at the team's record. If Painter had the same ability as Peyton and we were losing, you could make that argument. But yes, QB is our problem, it's one of our biggest problems (up there with the secondary)

The secondary is our BIGGEST problem. They can't cover and they can't tackle! They have given up the big plays in EVERY game and it ends up costing us! We have been right there in every game since Painter has been in. With Peyton we would have a few more scores per game so the secondary can hide, but now they are exposed and so is the front office for getting rid of players that took as a while to develop. We need to grab a few Vets in the secondary before the deadline. Maybe they won't be the youngest but at least they would know how to play the game.

  4. Marvin had great hands, but he had zero physicality. He was also clearly responsible for a number of interceptions during the regular season and playoffs.

That makes his stats even more incredible!!!!! While you wouldn't even consider him when speaking of big receivers, during his time he was without a doubt the most successful.

If you want to blame him for interceptions then praise him for the game winning TDs as well. BTW Peyton was responsible for some of the INTs as well.

I hope that it doesn't take long for him to get in because like someone else said the numbers speak for themselves. It was a pleasure to watch that guy play the game.

  5. Blame Caldwell all you want (and he deserves some) but the weakest part of our game and by the way the part that cost us this game and the last three, are the corners. Getting rid of the guys that we had after taking 5 yrs of building was insane. These corners can't cover so other positions have to try to help out and they absolutely CANNOT tackle after they allow a catch. Jennings had 39 tackles and 15 ast in his last yr! Hayden's last year with colts 43 tackles 18 ast! We couldn't re-sign those guys but we kept Gonzales and Sander (btw I like both of them) and they couldn't play year after year. We have gone backwards and it is hurting more than ever now that we have Bracket and Bullet out. We need some guys that can cover.

I'm in Dallas and I stay loyal to My Colts. I make it up there once or twice a year for a game and it's a big highlight of my year. To the guy that says stop going to the games and stop buying Colts gear I say ... go to another team buddy.

The offense got off to a great start and so did the defense. We're getting closer to putting together a complete game (except for those corners). With our leaders on both sides of the ball out and other injuries in key areas we were still just one play away in the last four games.

    Let's Go Colts!

  6. Not a big Caldwell fan yet but I'm going to back him for now. Let's face it, we are playing with a list of inexperienced players right now and in 3 of the 4 games we were right there. A touch down in 2 or a field goal with Pitt and we wouldn't be talking about this. I think that says a lot about how Caldwell and his coaches have prepared these guys every week and that is just short of a miracle.

I think the front office should really think about how they keep getting rid of players. It took us forever to get a DB team that could at least cover and when we finally do they don't resign guys and go for youth. That is hurting us along with the injuries. That Tampa 2 is killing us but with two Key defensive players out and the inexperience I guess that we couldn't do anything else. If that is the case we are in trouble because every team is going to do what Tampa did. That is the answer for what Freeney and Mathis do to a QB. What's really crazy is that our Linebackers for years played too close to the line and now they are running back leaving the middle wide open. Coyer better come up with something because our defense can't stay on the field all day. If they do then that fourth qtr surge that the D Line gives us will not be there when we need it.

We will get one this week.

    Let's Go Colts!
