So in the first part you bag on people for calling out someone's opinion then proceed to call out people for being a homer.. mixed message right there.

Yet you're arguing that people should be able to express their opinion without recourse from other posters (which I don't agree with if you respond in the correct manner) and then badgering people for being homers.

I didn't say posters shouldn't be allowed to have an opinion about your opinion, I just said you shouldn't be Put Down for having that opinion. Like being told you are wrong, or that you are overreacting. You can have a difference of opinions without putting the other person down. That to me just seems a little overboard I guess.

You may feel that way but the Colts are just one season away from being in the AFC championship game and the majority of those players are still on the roster. Believe what you want but there is good talent on this team no matter what you think. If you call me putting you down because I said that you are too sensitive.

  3. Exactly, I'm with you on this! You get put down on this forum for having a different opinion than everyone else. That's why I don't even like coming on here much anymore, too many people who only want people to say what they want to hear. "Boohoo, you're a whiner, blah blah blah." No, we're just realists, if you believe this roster isn't AT LEAST in the bottom third of the league then you are just a homer.

Well its just a matter of opinion but  if you ask me I think he's top 15 good. Its just he's had some issues in the past. As far as a pure pass rusher, he's one of the best in the draft. Now he may fall to the 2nd because of his past but he is a 1st round talent.

Yeah i'm not really worried about his past, but i'm not the coaching staff. But i'm just saying, if I were the Gm, i'd be looking at Leonard Floyd. He really just impresses me, he jumps out on tape. I'm even a buckeyes fan so I like spence, but just would prefer Floyd, as you would prefer spence.

If I had to pick one it'd be the offensive line. If Luck had an OL like Dallas does we'd put up 40 a game lol. You absolutely have to protect your franchise QB. He was injured this year because of Grigson making such bad choices and not bringing in quality talent on the OL. But in all seriousness I don't think its out of the realm of possibility that we couldn't have both this year. I know a lot of people are going to think I'm being a homer and what not, but its like this. We have the money to fill some major holes and a pretty good spot in the draft at 18. So lets say we signed Kelechi Osemele, Sean Smith, and Bruce Irvin . Then drafted Noah Spence and Nick Martin with our first two picks. Wouldn't that possibly give us a top 10 defense, and a top 10 OL? Our OL would be Castanzo-Osemele-Martin-Mewhort-Reitz. That looks like a top 10 OL IMO. The on D we know we have some really nice pieces on the D-Line. But with Irvin and Spence we'd have 2 guys who could put consistent pressure on the QB and either one of those guys could put up big sack numbers if not both. Then We'd have an absolute lethal cornerback duo with Davis and Smith. So if you have a solid  all around DL, 2 really good ILB's, OLB's who can put consistent pressure on the QB and 2 shut down corners, it seems like you'd have a top 10 D. Not to mention a pretty good safety in Adams

noah spence is not 1st round good

  6. Jaylon Smith, Leonard Floyd, or a lineman. Definitely not Ezekiel Elliott, I would be livid if we spent a 1st on a runningback that isn't the same caliber as Adrian peterson or another elite back. That should be the only time you take a back in the 1st, the line clears the way for the runningback and he takes what the line gives him, but a great back like A.P takes more than what they give him. I don't see elite in Elliott. I see luke kuechly in Jaylon Smith. And Leonard Floyd would be a great pick as well.

  7. Some people just run on more emotion then others. All we can do is speculate the whys and how comes. Shouldn't knock a guy for being hard on himself, upset cause he's not just letting himself down, but his teammates too. Knowing(in his head) that he's better then those plays. Atleast he has that passion. Maybe that's what fires him up, gets him goin? Who knows what was going on inside that head of his.

After that he had some great blocks on those Gore TDs.

Playing football is emotional. And if you disagree then you've clearly never really played. And believe it or not, a lot of players cry. Pros included. I'd rather have a guy break down, then get fired up - putting heart into it. Than him poor play after poor play, just go sit on the side line, yawn, giggle, an act like he don't give a lick.

But everyone has their own opinion.

Exactly, most people on here haven't played a sport, let alone football. I cried playing football once, it happens. Especially during practices.

  8. I agree with this. Once Anderson learns how to rush the passer, he will be extremely tough to stop. As of now, I think he is a 6-8 sack a year guy. He won't put a lot of pressure on the QB, but when he does, he will generally take him down for the sack. If you include his run stopping ability and tackling, 6-8 sacks is still solid and a big help on a defense that gets little to no pressure on the QB. Not to get off topic here, but once we improve our linebacking corps and hopefully get a true pass rushing linebacker in the first 2 rounds in next year's draft, the front 7 will gel a lot better and it will take a lot of work off Henry Anderson's hands.

Do you ever go on draft breakdown? Some people on this forums have talked about a pass rushed from Georgia named Leonard Floyd. If we got him I think we'd be set. Any defensive prospects that you think will be in our range, that you think would be good for us?

  9. Why is it so hard for Pep and Luck to just ground pound, and throw short screen passes and slants to back defenses out of blitzing?

2 games in a row they KNEW the Bills and Jets were going to throw the kitchen sink at Luck for the majority of the game.

Both games the running game looked good early,...yet they went away from it too soon in the bills, and had to vrs the jets late in the 3rd.  Our running backs are punishing backs that tire the defense the more carries they have.  Gore gets more ypc in later quarters statistically, yet they haven't put themselves in a position to capitalize on it.

And 1 screen pass the entire Jets game...late in the 4th quarter.

Everyone in the world knows how to play vrs blitzes, even Pep and Luck, yet they continually fail to prove it on the field.

We have  speed, LOTS of speed at WR.  WR screens or rub plays to these guys can also kill blitzes.  but only a handful have been called.

You can't look to go 15-20+ yards down field nearly as much as the Colts have this year when every play you are being harassed by blitzes, just not enough time to hold the ball that long.

Pep and Luck need to start dictating what the Defense does, NOT the other way around, or this will only get worse.

nvm you already mentioned rub routes. :)

I wonder if our offense would be a lot better if we utilized picks, like the Denver offense. When people are blitzing, we could run our tight ends on crossing routes. But i'm probably playing too much madden lol.

  11. He is 6'4". That's an inch off of Megatron. We do have Carter, who's 6'5", but you don't find ~6'4" receivers on every team.

luck is 6'4 too and i've seen him in a post game interview and he didn't look that tall. But also marshall is a lot skinnier (even lost weight this offseason) so it's kind of like an illusion, when you're lanky you just look taller? idk
