The Colts used their 4th and 5th QBs, guys who signed with the team less than a week ago. I don't want to hear about how bad the Titans are. Freeman and Lindley being able to perform with even moderate efficiency is impressive. Lindley's drive at the end of the first half was outstanding.

Yes I saw that, but your saying Pagano  is the answer? The game plan today was good, but was it Chuds or Pagano?

    Deserves to stay? Maybe.

Lots of arguments can be made in his favor, and the way they used the QBs today is one of them. Really good gameplan. The last time Josh Freeman started a game, it was after he had been in the building for 12 days, and he was awful. Comparatively, Freeman played great today. Using Lindley for the hurry-up stuff worked well, also; aside from his ugly underthrow, he looked like he had been running the offense all season. I've knocked Pagano for not scheming well, but he and his staff did today.

The real question that needs to be answered, though, is whether Pagano is the right guy to lead your team to championship contention year after year. And for all the arguments that can be made in his favor, none of them convince me that he can hang with the big guys in the NFL.

Let's not forget Tennessee is the worst NFL team!

Honestly why do this now?? I get really tired of Grigsons roster moves & this with 1 game left. Makes no sense to me. I honestly think Grigson does this % to look like he doing something. Just WAY TO MANY moves. People use to complain about Pollian's lack of moves, but at least you knew who was on the team! I would prefer maybe something in the middle!

Griff wasn't happy with the turmoil, and asked to be released?

Really weird roster move, IMO. He's on IR, not taking up a roster spot. He's on a minimum contract, and gets paid for this week because he was on the roster on Tuesday. So it doesn't save money, and doesn't save a roster spot. He can't play, because he just had a pretty significant injury.

Sometimes you just have to walk away!

Are we appreciably worse off than we would have been with Chris and the puppeteer/daddy,  Bill? Since Chris never had the leeway to spend in FA like Grigs, never had the chance to wipe the slate clean,  and only had a few drafts to prove himself, It'll  be curious to see if Irsay pulls the plug on Grigs as quickly.

Is Grigs superior, equal, or inferior to CPolian? What says you?

Tebow couldn't learn a playbook in an entire fall camp.

You think he's going to learn our complicated playbook in 4-5 days?

    Be serious....................

To those suggesting we should be happy not to go to the playoffs so we get a higher draft choice, keep in mind the following:

Our 2nd place schedule next year would include: The Jets, (Playoff team), Kansas City (Playoff team), Denver (Playoff team), Pittsburgh (best team NOT in the playoffs currently), Oakland (big up and coming team), San Diego (a team we always struggle with), Green Bay (Playoff team), Minnesota (Playoff team), and from our own division Texans (Playoff team twice), Jacksonville (an up and coming power who wasted us at home) and the weakest team we play TN who will have a quality Mariota in his second season.   That is 8 games against playoff teams and 6 games against legit playoff contenders next year.   It will be a far tougher test for us next year than this year.  No slightly higher draft picks are going to change that significantly.   On top of that, we'll likely have all new coaches, a new playbook, new schemes and perhaps a new defense as well as a solid chance of a new GM.

In other words, even with a 100% healthy Luck next year, we'll have perhaps the toughest schedule in the league, an unknown coaching staff who could actually be worse than what we have and big question marks all over the place.  It could be a long time before we sniff the playoffs again and don't forget, Luck's injuries are serious.  Who knows what he will be long term afterwards.   The idea of EVER skipping or wishing away a shot at the playoffs is beyond inappropriate.

It's going to be a tough, tough year next year and into the future in Indy.

You do realize Andrew Lucks not playing?

I'm clearly not the only person glad to see him go. I'm sure you were happy when Satele or Landry or someone along those lines was released. Don't go passing judgement on others so easily. We're all entitled to our own opinions here, but don't call me a "crappy" fan when I haven't missed a game in 15 years. There is no need to start throwing out personal insults to other members of this board.

No clearly it's your angle of thinking, last time I looked this was a fan forum!

Wow, he tried hard. That's what he gets paid to do. Whalen has been waived by the Colts multiple times and no other team has claimed him even once, so clearly I'm not alone in my assessment. Have I bashed the Colts and some of the decisions made by the front office? Absolutely. You'd be hard pressed to find a member on this board who hasn't. I do not get on here to mindlessly bash the team, sorry if it bothers you that my opinion differs from yours, but personally that's what draws me to this forum. I like discussing my viewpoints with others who are knowledgeable about football, whether we see eye to eye or not. If you're looking for someone who is going to write nothing but puff posts about the team then you're probably not going to like me, but hey, you can't please everyone.

Dear god! So the rest of the team "tried  as hard as Whalen"

  10. MH has played at such a high level. He's played better than half of the QB's in the league. His throwing accuracy has been top shelf. His pre-snap reads have been top shelf and his decisions on busted plays has been top shelf. MH has kept this season from being flushed. He's the reason this team is in the hunt.

colts fired Pep Hamilton is why the colts are in the hunt! Pep made everything more overly complicated for Luck. I'm not saying Hasselbeck hastn't done one hell of a job!
