Peyton Manning you will always be a Indianapolis Colt in my heart and one of the primary reasons I love football! Best of luck to you Peyton where ever you go! Your a class act Peyton! Go Colts and never forget #18!!!!
-
this guy is probably just mad that peyton was a indianapolis colt and not a baltimore colt! Ha!
-
I think its ridiculous that they havent taken that step already. Take a hint Bill Polian! Jeez louise mary jane!!!!
-
You haven't been following football very long have you? It just happened 3 yrs. ago. The Lions!
I meant our team there buddy lol COLTS!
-
I dont know where to mention this, but the Kansas City Chief's fired head coach Todd Haley, why doesnt this happen in Indianapolis?
-
I will be super sad if we go 0-16. wouldnt that be a first ever? maybe good will come out of bad and we will get new gm's, head coach and coaching staff, and no jacob lacey?

You guys must not understand humor. I'm a Colts fan. In the photo Tom Terrific is wearing Ugg boots, a distinctly feminine fashion choice. Seeing as how he is the spokesman for Men's Uggs, it is in comical jest that my profile pic is of Tom Brady in women's uggs.
Seriously, why would a Pats fan go on a rant about the state of the Colts defense, and use such pronouns as 'our' defense?
Also why would my name be The Peytonator????
my bad lol long days i have had seriously...

Seriously. When I watch other defenses play, the corners are within 5 yards of the receiver before the snap. Our CBs are at least 7 yards off every single play. But you know what, that wouldn't be so bad, if at the snap they moved closer to the WR. Instead all they do is backpedal. Occasionally one will gain some balls and at least try to make a play on the ball, but it's obvious they are coached to just take a few steps back, let the WR make an easy catch for 7 yards, then make the tackle. This scheme relies on the hope that the WR drops the ball, or there's a fumbled snap, or by some ungodly occurance the ball gets tipped at the line and someone picks it off. The difference between a crap scheme like ours, and a good one like Baltimores, is that we hope something good happens, while Baltimore makes good things happen.
We have skilled players on our team. Tim Jennings was a castoff. A scrub. A roster casualty because everyone else was better than him. He was the Jacob Lacey of old. Now, he's a starter on the Bears, who by the way, play a Cover 2, and have been keeping themselves in games despite a completely anemic offense. While our offense sputters every posession, our defense should be able to do something. But they can't because they're playing in the worst scheme they could possibly play in.
It's pretty obvious that either Polian or Caldwell will die by this defensive scheme. I think it's Polian because when we promoted Caldwell, he seemed to be alright with moving away from the strictly Tampa 2 defensive scheme. He was the one that hired Coyer. If you ask me, Coyer got a raw deal. He was unable to use the players he wanted to, like Tryon, and was basically handcuffed into running the same bland, predictable scheme, every single play.
But you know what gripes me to know end. How Polian can defend this craptastic team he built by saying we've just had bad luck because of injuries. I even heard one of the commentators spew this garbage during the telecast. He said something about how we've got 17 guys on IR and 7 of them were starters. Apparently they don't do research they just parrot anything a God like Bill Polian says like it's fact. We have 3 starters on IR. I do not count Kerry Collins as a starter. The 3 starters would be Gary Brackett, Melvin Bullitt, and Jerraud Powers. Brackett's a good player but not the be-all-end-all of our defense. Melvin Bullitt is just an average safety, and David Caldwell/Joe Lefeged are not that much of a downgrade. Jerraud Powers just went to IR this week so you can't use him as an excuse.
I'm tired of Polian's excuses. In the past, when we were winning, he would use the ole 'can't use injuries as an excuse' card. Since we're 0-13, he needs something to defend himself. This needs to stop.
Jim Irsay, if you read the official Indianapolis Colts message board, do everyone a favor, and fire Bill Polian. Then fire Jim Caldwell and get somebody that does more than clap his hands and say 'Good job' when the offense goes 3-and-out. Then trade our number one draft pick for a plethora of picks. Draft someone like Barkley or Griffin so they can learn from the GOAT, all the while building a solid roster of guys that can shoulder some of the burden and not force Peyton Manning to carry the entire franchise on his back. I would sure like to see the GOAT get more than one SB in his career. Even though nobody else involved with the franchise, he at the very least does.
dude go on the patriots forum...this is the indianapolis colts forum fyi

It will be Amelio....
Its a done deal....ESPN...NFL Network..They're all saying that word from Indy is we will sign Manning and take Luck...
I think Manning wold like to name his successor and now he can..
I like it. Sometimes its not all shouts of joy and glee. We had a hard season but I applaud our guys for trying, despite what some people will say we are not in their shoes.....
-
I think that Manning/Luck together will be awesome. It will be a great combination because I dont want to admit it,but Peyton Manning only has a few years left before he retires. I think he will retire and that will be it. It wont be I might come back for the right amount of money ie Kerry Collins or I will come back over and over again maybe just to keep me on the ESPN news ie Brett Farve. After Peyton Manning leaves Andy Luck will have so much practice and coaching from Peyton Manning he will be good to go for 10+ years after Peyton Manning is gone...and we will win the AFC South over and over again as well as win Superbowl's.....Hoorah!
-
From top to bottom whats worse than being 0-13? The Polians, Jim Caldwell and his coaching staff, Joe Lefeged who keeps on fumbling the the ball, Dan Orlovsky and Curtis Painter, Jacob Lacey, that sums it up for me...If we can get rid of all those people. I would feel happy if from top to bottom the Colts cleaned house....
-
Peyton Manning I am so glad your surgery was deemed a success! I hope you rehab goes quickly and is successful! Your my hero!
-
I guess the only thing I will be able to enjoy this Sunday will be Jim Caldwells blank stare....its better than screaming obscenities at the tv for over 2 hours...sigh I miss you Peyton Manning, Gary Brackett, Eric Foster, and Dallas Clark. Another sighhh and disgust lol Get better soon guys we need you!!!
-
Peyton Manning you are my inspiration and my hero! Please get better soon! We want you to be a Colt all the years you play!!
-
I would like to see a Brett Farve/Aaron Rodgers scenario but I do know Andrew Luck will be the #1 pick, in the first round and not #24 in the fifth round lol. I want to see Andrew Luck wearing a blue and white Colts jersey!
-
In a perfect world I would want Peyton Manning to be healthy for 2-3 more years and win one more super bowl. However I dont think Peyton coming back for one game against the Pats will help us, unless it was a more of a morale win but he will still be fragile rather just sit him out till 2012 and wait for his return. Its not "if" but "when" lol
-
I have my hopes and dreams for the Colts 2011 Season, I have decided to stay hopeful they will win a game. If they win against the Panthers cool, if not I will enjoy chuckling at Coach Caldwells blank/confused expression lol.
-
"Personally, I hope to see Manning retire as a Colt, preferrably 4 to 5 years from now".
Agreed sfergson727 , I want Peyton Manning to retire a Colt but if he doesn't I will always seem him as a Colt. I honestly don't think Jim Irsay would really throw Peyton Manning away unless he was for sure going to be 100%. Peyton himself wouldn't play if he wasn't 100% he would rather go crazy and retire and then maybe reemerge as a coach a few years after that....lol
-
21-20. Go Colts!
-
In Painter I trust because honestly we don't have anyone else. I mean Dan Orlovsky and that other guy but I say just keep on pushing and improving (jeez I sound like Jim "I dont know where I am or what I am doing" Caldwell. Anyways lets just keep on giving him a chance, in all fairness this QB on the Jags is somewhat of a rookie, more so then Painter so lets just see what happens? Maybe I wont scream my self horce this sunday.....
-
still a proud colts fan, but was embarrassed and angered by this loss. they need to step it up! c what are we the rams? the dolphins? no we are the colts! one of the best teams in the nfl! im keeping the faith whether we are 16-0 or 0-16....
-
lets just keep the faith so maybe we can win a few this season, then maybe we (the colts) will get andrew lusterious luck lol. caldwell has won games and its more or less because our captain is down and out. manning is very involved and probably really runs the team...lets just know that he will better and better than ever next season
-
I would definitely see him as a QB coach or a head coach. He is such a machine and knows how to be a all in one lol
-
Im all for Curtis Painter, lets wish him well for our first win for the season, and a health offense/defense throughout the entire game....
