It also led to more turnovers from Luck too. People just assume Luck's ints and incompletions were down because he had improved in eliminating those bad errors out of his game and actually it was more to do with getting the ball out of his hands sooner, better protection, and asking him to do less in the passing game. Andrew I know has shown a lot of growth but as we saw especially those two playoff games if we ask him to carry the offense to chuck it a lot...7 ints....almost as many as a full season...that supposed explosive plays also went both ways. I think the plan is still to run the ball first and hopefully successful so Andrew can get the best looks possible off of play action and when throwing. We may have more of the offense back..but I don't think the game plan changes...pound Trent early and often...get hopefully both TEs involved, hopefully Reggie can be a big target on 3rd down and get our big plays from TY stretching the field and in the seams. That "conservative" approach is what won us a lot of games. Its great that Andrew can step up if we fall far behind and bring us back...but to ask him to be Peyton Manning or Drew Brees shouldn't be what we are looking for. Andrew needs to be more a game manager...like Tom Brady was early in his career and this year...picking up those 3rd downs and clutch in the closing minutes or on big drives...he doesn't need nor does he seem ready to be the Peyton Manning qb that the whole offense runs through. If we can do what San Diego did with Phillip Rivers this year...that would be ideal.
i think those turnovers are because the opposing defenses know that those short throws are coming i think 4 of the ints in the playoffs were short throws maybe 5 I'm not to sure because those were almost like our running plays just something to pick up some yards so were not working with a 2nd and 9. we couldn't rely on any RB picking up enough yards causing them to be predictable and the D knowing whats coming and being able to jump routes

towards the end of the season and into the playoffs when he put the ball in lucks hand, this offense seemed a lot more explosive at times and some more creative plays can't wait till next season to see what pep does with these guys and how his system grows
-
If we could sign those 4 on D, we would be number 1 seed and win the super bowl.
i think if grigson can work out some good deals and get rid of some heavy cap players we can definitely get at least 3 maybe the 4 and a C. arthur jones shouldn't get a very big contract spikes may take a smaller contract because of off field issues and being a 2 down ILB and verner will probably get around 4 to 6 mill and byrd will be a larger contract

Im happy with the group of recievers we have to be honest. Especially when Reggie and Allen back.
The gaps I see are interior line, a pass rush presense on the d line and a coverage safety. Maybe a cb too. I think our D should be the priority. Esoecially with Donald Thomas on the way back.
My dream would be Jairus Byrd, Arthur Jones and Alex Mack. Everyone on the forum says so, but it's because they are great players in positions of need.
i think mack is unnecessary and to expensive we should go for brian de la puente or dietrich-smith for a C and spend big money on defense by getting byrd, spikes, jones and verner. if there was a way to get landry off the roster to free up some cap i would do that to and try to sign tj ward to start next to byrd. Then we can draft for the D and a guard. i would love to be able to get orakpo but i think he is out of the picture because he would cost way to much
-
Bethea is a good SS, but we really need a FS that can cover, tackle and have good instincts. We need money to sure up the defense as a whole. Take this lose and fuel the fire.
yes for sure like byrd we basically have 2 run support SS if we could get rid of landry to free up some cap space which i don't think is possible i would rather tj ward at SS and byrd FS
-
in this draft we need to get a stud d-end in the 2nd unless there is a guard, corner, or wr that slips for some reason in the draft if we can get rid of some no essential players with high cap hits we should try and make a run at signing brian orakpo also
-
bad center and right guard , need get them free agency center mack rg 5 top 15 guards in fa. need a pass rusher .
we don't need mack he will be to expensive we should get de la peunte or dietrich-smith both solid and will be cheaper so we can spend more money on the D for byrd, verner and either spikes or dansby we need to get a safety who can cover and maybe even get rid of landry and get tj ward
-
Hilton is sure as hell a #1, what makes you believe otherwise. And don't say size, size has nothing to do with being a #1 or not
I think these two playoff games show that he is a #1 because both teams knew that he was our playmaker and he still went out and got it done
-
for free agents we need to resign davis sign byrd, verner from titans and brandon spikes or even karlos dansby if we can and for every one that wants mack i would rather put that big money into byrd and a couple more pieces on D and get either de la peunte or Dietrich-smith at C

horrible sloppy game by colts and refs
-
this was also a very bad game from the refs not giving our team the calls that were right in front of there faces
-
how can we let the pats win and score 43 points without brady even throwing a td this team as a whole is not deserving of a win from this performance
-
down by 21 and they don't go for it?
-
The Indianapolis Colts well never be a consistent football team add long as we have these * coaches.
for sure it seems like the offense has a different style every drive sometimes it works than it implodes. and manusky blitzes when we shouldn't and plays straight coverage when we shouldn't he never really gets the right play called
-
they are gonna run it in
-
i can't handle this inconsistency anymore can they not play a full 60 minutes of solid football ever
-
all landry does is dive at the ball carrier when he can easily wrap them up
-
safety selling out and misses the tackle. unreal
if he was brought here to be intimidating he hasn't done a good job cause every week he gets picked on either in the passing game or the running usually both
-
and these no calls are definitely becoming a large factor in this game
-
laron landry totally whiffed on that tackle i think he might be worse than bethea
-
other than the PI call gordy isn't doing to bad in coverage
-
pep needs to draw up more plays like the one to hilton and then the one to brazill
-
do our defensive players not have arms because i see them getting near the ball carrier but not rapping up what is going on
-
we absolutely need to get a safety who can cover (byrd) and put landry in at strong safety 2 run stuffing safeties is pointless
If you were Gigson and you had 5 free agents who would you pick
