Sergio Brown has said that he would like a chance to compete for the safety position. He has been terrific on Special Teams, is obviously a great athlete and I believe played safety his last 2 years at Notre Dame. Maybe he could be a starter or a backup in case of injury. Of our free agent signees only one is listed as "safety".

I agree that more 2 point conversions would make the game more interesting than the current extra point. If 37 yard field goals are made 86% of the time as indicated above, then 2 point conversions with completion rate over 43% would make mathematical sense. Obviously it depends on the game situation and the ability of the offense to make a 2 point conversion or a good defense to stop it. Rich in Alaska

Just wondering - We have applied to host the 2018 Superbowl. We have an excellent chance to be one of the teams playing in that game. That would obviously be a big home field advantage for us. I wonder if they consider that in making their selection.

Great point!! Bad circumstances turned out to our benefit big-time. Life is funny like that. Rich

This will be interesting. He chose to finish college and get his degree even though he could have come out one year earlier and would have been the #1 pick in the draft. Also he told his agent who I think is his uncle Will that he did not want to do those silly chicken commercials like the other guys. In both cases he left millions of dollars on the table for the sake of principle. Imagine that!! This may be a different agent/player arrangement than usual. Instead of the agent getting as much as possible, perhaps Andrew tells his agent what HE wants. Especially if his agent is actually his uncle Will. No question he is worth $20 million. I saw a clip of the huddle just before that throw. Andrew told TY, "TY run your (bleeping) butt off!." He sure did and blew right by those defenders. Sweet!! Rich

I am a big Colts fan in Alaska. I must have watched the second half of that game dozens of times and each time it is so amazing! Whenever I feel down I watch that game and I feel much better. Great cure for depression.!! Go Colts!! Rich in Alaska

I am a big Colts fan in Alaska. Our passing game should be terrific and I am thinking that will help our running game be effective. I can't wait for the season to start! Whenever I feel down I rewatch the third and fourth quarters of the Kansas City playoff game and I am happy again. A great cure for depression! Rich in Alaska

Here is a good example of going for it against conventional wisdom. Conference playoff game, 4th quarter, Seahawks down to San Francisco 17-13. Ball on SF 35 yard line, 4th down 7 yards to go. Instead of kicking 53 yard field goal, Pete Carroll decides to go for it and they get a touchdown!!! That gutsy, against conventional wisdom call probably won the game for Seattle and got them to the Superbowl! That took some real courage but it paid off big time!

I have lived in Fairbanks, Alaska for the past 40 years. When the Colts drafted Andrew Luck I felt he could turn the franchise around and will watch the Colts go from Worst to
First!!! Last time I felt like that was when Jim Kelly agreed to play with Buffalo.

The Seahawks' stadium, CenturyLink Park, is an open stadium so you can make a lost of noise even if the roof is open. I was at the game where they set a noise record, 136 db, in their win over the 49ers. They kept posting on the scoreboard how many false starts the other team had. There were a lot!! So it really helps to make noise. Go Colts!! alaskarich

I find 2 things encouraging. He told his agent he did not want to do those silly commercials so he could concentrate on football. And he stayed at Stanford to graduate; he could have entered the NFL the year before - he was the consensus #1 pick then. In both cases he left a lot of money on the table. I get the sense he tells his agent what he wants instead of vice versa. I think he wants to be respected for what he does to help his team win, not by getting the biggest contract in history.
