  1. Just checked back - I guess a deal has not been reached?

There is speculation that the Giants may be interested in bringing him back - and Bradshaw is looking to establish his market value to take an offer back. Although I will say, generally once the Giants cut someone, they are done with them. And in NY's case, they are trying to rid themselves of the guys constantly in the trainer's room.

    But the situation bares watching.

I saw some questions about his specific injuries - let me tell you - this guy's been though the ringer. He has 2 broken feet and a chronic bad ankle. He's had pins inserted, and taken out, and inserted again, in the feet as different metatarsals broke. Last year alone, by midseason he was playing with a broken hand, 2 broken feet, a sprained ankle, a badly sprained knee and a sprained neck. All at the same time. The team was fearful he tore his ACL during the 49ers game but he kept playing, and never missed any time.

Coughlin said he looked like a cripple every Monday and that there was just no way you'd ever imagine him being able to practice or play the following week. But he'd always get his * together  by Friday, and look good doing it.

  2. Hello Colts fans,

I'm a big Giants fan that heard Bradshaw was about to sign with the Colts, so I decided to check out a Colts board to get the real story, and perhaps shed some light on Ahmad, the player. We have seen many great runners, from Joe Morris to Rodney Hampton to Tiki Barber.

First off - AB is one of my favorite football players I've ever watched. He's been a universally-respected lockerroom guy and team leader. His intensity is off the charts. From my seat, he is the toughest player in the NFL. Tom Coughlin has called him the toughest guy he's ever been around. Think about that for a moment - as Coughlin has been in football since the 1950's. This dude's had a bum ankle and a broken foot since he got here, and he runs like an animal - oftentimes behind an offensive line that's getting its butt kicked. Played through a sprained neck last year that would've kept anybody else out for months - and was still seeking out collisions. Fearless pass blocker. Excellent hands, screen and ability to improvise. Frankly, he's been underused in that aspect because Eli does not throw to RBs much.

Oftentimes TV announcers describe him as small - but he isn't small. He's just short - 5'8". If he was 6' he'd be 235. He is a power back who has an uncanny ability to convert goalline and short yardage situatons. If you need 2 yards, he will get you 2 yards. He has made some ridiculous touchdowns by just out-willing everyone to the end zone.

The downside to him, at this point, is his inability to practice. He's pretty beat up for 27 years old - it would be wrong to think of him as some kind of physical prime player. (He's not done, either: he had a 200 yard game last year, then ran all over the 49ers the following week @SF.) For the last 2 years, the Giants have practiced him only once a week. He will always say he feels great, but he will have to be managed. He is also a guy that lives life in the fast lane, but at no point has he been a serious character issue either.
