I love Cooper.... but a big 'no!' to trading up.... for anyone!
If he somehow miraculously fell to the Colts (as DeCastro did to Pitts at 24 last year) then I'd sprint to the podium to say his name!
Couldn't say it fast enough. "With the 24th pick in the 2013 draft, the Indianapolis Colts select....... "
But, it's a pipe dream.... 1% chance.... (ok, maybe 2%)
If Cooper is that good, I don't see the problem in giving up an extra draft pick or two. What are the odds those guys we give up are ever going to contribute?

If he's SPECIAL, and I agree he is, why not move up if the opportunity presents itself? I think the odds are much better that Warmack and Cooper will be SPECIAL players than the extra picks we have to trade to get them. The odds are those guys won't even be on the team in two or three years when Warmack and Cooper are all pros and keeping Luck healthy and giving us a running game.

Okay. Warmack is considered the best football player in the draft and yet he will not go number one because he is a guard. Cooper is being called the most athletic guard some scouts have ever seen and he will not go number one because he is a guard. The best guard in years went late in the 1st round last year. Guards do not get drafted high as a rule. Now, apparently you found one scout who puts Warford ahead of Cooper. Congrats. The rest of them have him a distant 3rd and mock him in the 2nd round. If Warmack or Cooper fell to us, then yes I think we grab one, but Warford will be there at 24 and there is no way he will be the BPA at that pick. He will just be the 3rd best guard. As many posters have said, need is a poor evaluator and that's what you were doing. We do need a guard, but we'll get one later on. At least that's what makes sense.
Why does it not make sense to trade up and get Warmack if he is the best football player in the draft and we have a need at that position?

Guard is the key position for us in this draft and there are two very good ones. I'd move up and get one of them.

I think we should trade up and grab one of the elite guards (Warmack or Cooper). Nothing is more important than protecting Luck. We're deeper at outside linebacker and the secondary than we are on the offensive line. It would be nice to have an all pro up there instead of someone we grab off the scrap heap.
Trading back multiple times for 2nd and 3rd round picks

I still say trade up and get Warmack and Cooper.
Our biggest need is the offensive line. We have pretty solid starters and depth everywhere else.
Quality over quantity at this point.
