  1. According to the link below, the Eagles may take as little as a 4th rounder for him.  I think we can afford that.  We don't have an old team, and we get even younger when you consider that Adam (41) and Matt (38) are driving our average age up.  Mathis is not owed a ton of guaranteed money.  Here are my other thoughts:

    • Thomas is coming back from an injury.
    • I have high hopes for Thorton, but he is still learning.
    • Having an All-Pro next to Holmes or Costa has got to help them.

I think it would be a good move.

  2. The one thing that I really like about Thornton is his effort.  There were many times during a long run or pass play that he seemed to be one of the first ones down there because he was trailing the play.  Hopefully experience, a change to RG, and a decent center will help him take a large leap in 2014.

  3. I'm thankful that as a kid, my Dad introduced me to the Colts, and over the years I have had the pleasure of watching and rooting for:

    • Johnny Unitas, John Mackey, Tom Matte, Mike Curtis, Bubba Smith - a Super Bowl win
    • Bert Jones, Lydell Mitchell, the Sack Pack
    • Jim Harbaugh, Marshall Faulk, and the failed hail mary.
    • Peyton Manning, Marvin Harrison, etal - a Super Bowl win, the comeback against Tampa Bay, the comeback against the Pats...
    • Curtis Painter (without him, we don't draft Andrew)
    • Andrew Luck, Reggie Wayne, Robert Mathis - the many wining seasons to come

Lastly, I am thankful in advance for the upset win in the first round of the playoffs that allows us to play Peyton again in the second round.  Because, as much as we all love what Peyton did for us as a Colt, if we are being honest, he typically does not play his best games when the pressure is on (last year's interception in OT).

  4. I was hoping the Colts would bring him back.  As a slot receiver, he consistently got separation, and he CAUGHT THE BALL!.  I'll take a 7, 8, 9 yard catch over a 20 to 30 yard drop all day long.  Even if he was only able to stay healthy for a couple of games, that would be better than what are options are right now, outside of Hilton.

  5. Being in Georgia, I don't get to see many Colts games, but they don't seem to run many screens or draws which I always thought was a tactic to take to slow down a pass rush.  Then maybe Trent would have a couple of yards to move in we he has the ball.  I like Donald Brown, and he definitely has take advantage of some slim holes the line has opened up for him.  Unfortunately, I don't even see the slim holes when Trent has the ball.

    Am I missing something?
