  1. So with the news that we made a play for Welker and the move we made with Zibs which gave us a little cap room do you think we could be trying to get Cruz? Would cost us our 24th pick but is a guaranteed play maker. If we made an offer Giants have a week to decide whether to match.

I honestly think we are going to go with a CB in the first. If not a CB, NT or OG, I would imagine just the best player available. I would say that our RG, NT and RCB are our biggest holes, but if one of the caliber Pags and Grigson are willing to get is not there I can see them just going with the best player because it would most likely be an upgrade if not a replacement. Most of our positions filled with permanent starters are probably going to be past their prime soon and we can just get him used to the system and then pencil him in in a few years. That would be cool with me anyway haha

  2. I'm more than happy with the signings we've made. While some of the contracts *may* of been a little higher than what most of us would like, I think everything done so far has been great. I cannot wait to see how all these signings play out over this coming season. So excited for some Colts football!

I definitely think we payed just a tad too much for some of these guys (I'm looking at you Whalden.) I'm not upset though, because if I am thinking correctly won't Luck's rookie contract be up at all the same time all of these other guys are going to be ending there current deals? That would mean that we will have a huge cap space available if we continue to built through the draft and not be sentimental to the players we love. So basically, what I mean is we would have plenty of room to sign Luck to his first huge vet contract and not run into the issue that the Ravens are having right now where they won't be able to keep anyone EXCEPT the quarterback.

  3. Most players only get one big contract in there careers, and most of them have a max 10 year career. Then they have nothing, a lot of them don't have degrees and are used to living a certain way and are not willing to just sell their mansion and move into a rented apartment.

For a lot of these players they are depending on this money of the rest of their life.

I understand that, I mean more-so the way they sign huge contracts and then hurt the cap. Especially when it comes to people like Joe Flacco. Signing that huge contract and then losing Boldin and possibly Ellerbe and definitely losing Kreuger (Krueger?).
