  1. Steelers gave up more points to a worse offense than the one we faced today. And lost by as big an amount. And Big Ben threw 3 int's. Kerry Collins threw none. Will we hear analysts say Collins is better than Ben? Nope. They'll say it happens. 2 teams with no excuses loss today too, Indy has an excuse, not that they'll use it as one. I saw bad. But I saw plenty of good to build off of. Let's do this COLTS!

  2. I will also point out that no one is gonna scream the sky is falling for the Kansas City Chiefs season, and yet they got beat worse than we did, with all their starters, but a worse team than the one we lost to. This kind of game can happen to any team. Our guys are going to be fine. We gotta get some questions answered up front on offense, and just sure up a little on d, but the second half d is making me not say that too much. So offensive line is biggest question we need to address.

  3. Ya know what I'm taking from this game? We had one awful first half, yes. And it was going to happen. Ya can't have a qb be with the team two weeks and not have kinks. But the Colts came out in that second half and showed us something. Outscored them, I grant 7-0, but if it'd been a closer first half that coulda been enough, and didnt allow a single score the second half. So once they get things worked out, they'll be fine.

  4. We do have outstanding players in our secondary. Even some analysts have called Melving Bullit and Antoine Bathea the best safety team in the NFL. Lacey is decent. I won't say outstanding, but he's not someone who's gonna hurt us every play. Powers is good. Our linebacker core is solid. Simms and Bracket are really good. And our d-line this year is gonna be the best in a long time. Nevis showed me some amazing things in the preseason, and of course Freeney and Mathis as always. Let's see big Dwight hit his 100th sack this year guys! I am behind our Colts one hundred percent. No fear at all here.

  5. Manning's career will be fine. Just a speedbump. This season will be fine, and we're going to host our own superbowl. Not being a blind fan, just saying how i feel. I think Manning misses 3 weeks, 4 max. And the only game in that time span that i'd worry about with Collins under center is Pittsburg. I think that Collins still has a cannon for an arm and is one of only 12 qb's to pass for 40,000 yards, and he's never had the receiving core that he's gonna have here in Indy. I think Addai is gonna see these 3 weeks as a chance to shine, to show that they can take some weight off their qb and go out there and punch someone in the mouth (not literally, figure of speech.) And Carter has a stick of dynamite in him if you ask me, watch this guy to make the most out of his time on the field. I see alot of fans hating on Collins but I think that he's the absolutely best option we could have grabbed for this situation. Don't wanna young guy who's gonna cave. Ya want a season'd veteran. Go Colts, let's rock the Texans!

  6. dont worry caldwell has changed the game plan our o line is going to blow holes you could drive a truck through we are now a running team with a home run from collins when they are looking for the run

oh trust me I ain't worried. Ya see, I see alot of worry from the Colts fans here, but I trust our boys. I know that Peyton doesn't block, run, kick, catch, defend, and throw. I know that we got alot more game players on this team. This new line is going to clear some paths for Addai and Carter, and Collins is more than capable of delivering a good pass to the open guy. And just wanna point out, if that first ball in cincinatti game is for Pierre Garcon instead of Taj Smith, that's a TD. Garcon is quick enough he'd already had that guy burned. We are amazing with Peyton and Collins will never truely replace him, but I trust a Kerry collins led team to hold down the fort and keep the team in a place to succeed when Peyton does make the field.

  7. I want to point out something. First off, I don't believe Peyton will miss much time, if any. Secondly, if he does, we do have Collins. Everyone is very quick to count him out, but you do realize since the Colts started their run of dominating the AFC south only other team has one that division right? A Kerry Collins-led Tennessee Titans team. So we have the last two QB's to win our division on one team. And he has better WR's here. He didn't have anyone near the caliber of Reggie Wayne or Dallas Clark. Bairly even anyone who touches Garcon or Collie. We got this.

  8. At no time should an athlete be the one deciding if he is physcially able to play. This is just bad and something that shows me that Peyton is more concerned with himself over the team in some ways. Right now there is no reason at all Peyton should be starting game 1 vs. Houston. The smart money is to have Collins go in game 1 and 2 and have Peyton ready for the big sunday night home game vs. the Steelers. But no, Peyton will be out there in Houston, we will lose he will struggle. The smart thing is to treat him just like every other player, have him practice and get ready and then bring him in at the right time. It's sad management refuses to stand up to Peyton.

Its not that management refuses to stand up to him. This was an elective procedure to eleviate pain in his throwing arm. The fact of the matter is that this recovery is one that only Peyton can honestly know when he is ready. He has to feel that his throwing arm and the nerve regeneration is where it needs to be. The coaches can't look at him and say that he is ready because they aren't feeling what he is. Also, once again stating, its not that they refuse to stand up to him, but they respect him and trust him. They also recognize the respect Peyton has for the game and for his team, and they know that if Peyton isn't capable of playing, he'll be the first to say it. They recognize their own human error and acknowledge that they may say he's ready before he is if its purely their choice. If Peyton is or isn't ready, he'll be the first to say and I've said from day one, don't listen to any reporters, to Irsay, to Caldwell. The only person who can say if he'll be ready to play is Manning. Plain and simple. If you're honestly a Colts fan, the line "But no, Peyton will be out there in Houston, we will lose he will struggle" is not called for, because if he says he's ready to go out there, then you need to stand and support his decision to take the field. He's being a man by asking for this decision, because if he plays and does badly, its on him. If he doesn't play and they lose, its on him. The surgery was elective, and no one should take any flac for him, that's the way Peyton is. He takes his blame and is positioning for that to be the case if anything goes wrong, but also realizing that only he can truly know what's going on with his own body.
