  1. I really wish people would quit referencing the parallels to 06, I am not superstitious but I am working hard to become that way....its just bad juju to compare this season to the holier than thou season.....LOL

Yeah. There were so many weird parallels to our '06 and '09 seasons that I thought we were destined to win the Super Bowl that year.

I was crushed when we lost to the Saints

  2. You completely ignored the bigger part of that. "Inferior team". Like I said, I will always take being at home vs being on the road. All you did was post records that prove the colts won more games at home this year than on the road.

We won 1 more game at home than away. With an eight game sample size for both, that means literally next to nothing. And the Chargers may appear to be a weaker team, but we played both San Diego and Denver this year, and I'm sure you remember which one we lost to.

  3. You haven't even seen the broncos play a playoff game yet. So to say the chargers are playing better before the broncos even play one snap is pretty silly. Secondly, I couldn't care less how good the chargers are playing. The fact of the matter is Id rather take my chances with the inferior team at home every single time. EVERY SINGLE TIME.

This Colts team has shown nothing to suggest that they are better at home than away. We were 6-2 at home and 5-3 away, and there was no correlation between blowouts/good wins and home field advantage.

  4. Without question Tony Dungy is a first ballot Hall of Famer.

-Perfector of the "Tampa 2" Defense

-Built a perennial loser in Tampa Bay to a winning team.

-One of three people to win a Super Bowl as both a head coach and player

-First African American Head Coach to win a Super Bowl

-Never had a losing season during his tenure in Indianapolis, winning the division 6 out of his 7 years there.

I don't think that will be enough to get him in over Brooks, Strahan or Jones. Don't remember the other finalists but Marvie Marv is a lock as well.

  5. tbh I'd be rooting for the Broncos.

That way, if we win the AFCCG, we go to the Super Bowl, but if we lose, it's not really the end of the world, as we get to see Peyton in another Super Bowl to maybe finally shut up the critics (again.)

I don't think I could stand to see Philip Rivers gain any sort of post-season success.

  6. We should try them on the home jerseys instead of the away jerseys. All blue would bring a more modern look.

I think if we were going to do any uniform changes it would have been last year, when the Peyton era finished and we were transitioning into a new eon.

  7. I've seen most of the games a couple times over, and I don't see what teams are doing that they weren't earlier in the year.

It was obvious that the superhuman production wasn't going to continue from early in the year (Nobody's topping Marvin's 143) but Reggie's numbers shouldn't have declined that steeply.

  8. Oh lawd. Donald Brown was not a mistake. Throughout the entirety of his career we have not had a line that can run block like the good ol' days with Tarik and such.

Some fans wanted Addai to stay over Brown last year, which was, no offense if you were one of those people, absolutely *ic.

It was clear even in his rookie season that Donald Brown was a talented runner. He just needed to get the mentals down. Now he did, and he'll be a great RB.

The Vick Ballard hype train is starting too soon. Ballard is the more physical runner, but Brown is faster, more agile, and can take a hit. However, I don't see us holding on to Don Breezy for much longer (*sigh*) so it's more than likely that Vick Ballard will carry the load for us, at least for another year.

  9. He was great, up until week 10.

I don't know why but somewhere around that time his production just fell off a cliff. His numbers from a 3 week stretch from weeks 14-16 were worse than his numbers in the Green Bay game. I hope I'm wrong, but I think he's slowing down, and Luck force-feeding him the ball will stop being as effective as it was early on in the year.

I'd look for us to sign someone like Greg Jennings or Dwayne Bowe in the offseason (if Avery isn't resigned)
